Pericardial cysts have been recognized as infrequent benign intrathoracic lesions, and are mainly found by accident. Recently, we experienced 3 cases of pericardial cysts. We report these case with the brief review of literature.

Mediastinal teratoma is an infrequent germ cell tumour and
comprises of 1 to 5% of all mediastinal tumours. We report a
case of mediastinal mature teratoma in a 12 year old boy
who presented to us with persistent non-productive cough,
fever and dyspnoea for the past 7 months. Computed
tomographic scan of thorax revealed a large anterior
mediastinal mass measuring 11.2x9.9x14cm with
calcification within. He subsequently underwent a median
sternotomy with left subcostal extension (L-incision) and
excision of tumour. Histopathology of the tumour revealed a
mature cystic teratoma. We would like to report a case of
successful surgical management of a large mediastinal
mature teratoma in a child.

Pericardial cysts are reported by some authors, but epicardial cysts are extremely rare. We report one case of epicardial cyst that was detected incidentally and was removed successfully. Furthermore, unusually, pathological examinations confirmed that the cyst wall was looked like a vessel wall.

Pericardial cyst is an uncommon congenital mediastinal tumor. The majority of pericardial cysts are located in the right cardiophrenic angle, but rarely they can be located intrapericardially. We now present a case of a huge intrapericardial pericardial cyst excised with video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.

Thymoma is the most common tumor in the compartment of anterior mediastinum. The malignant thymoma is classified into invasive thymoma( category I ) and thymic carcinoma( category II ). Recently, well-differentiated thymic carcinoma is a proposed category 1.5 used to describe a subset of thymic epithelial tumors, allowing for the existence of intermediate form based on the clinical features and the histological characteristics. Thymic cyst is a congenital or a acquired disorder. Congenital thymic cyst may develop due to failure of the thymopharyngeal duct to obliterate and acquired thymic cyst develops from inflammation( multilocular thymic cyst ), or neoplasm( cystic thymoma ). Cystic degeneration in thymoma is a relatively frequent but focal event. In rare cases, the process proceeds to the extent that most or all of the lesion becomes cystic. Until now, well-differentiated thymic carcinoma with extensive cystic degeneration has not been reported in our country. We experienced a case of 14 year-old female patient showing extensive cystic degeneration in well-differentiated thymic carcinoma. and so we report it with review of the articles related.

Pericardial cysts are uncommon benign congenital mediastinal lesions and they are most often found in either cardiophrenic angle. We present here one case of atypically located pericardial cyst that was located in the subpulmonary region. The clinicians should take into consideration this entity in the differential diagnosis of cystic lesion of the mediastinum. The diagnostic difficulties that are encountered and the utility of video-assisted thoracoscopy are described.

Bronchogenic cysts (BCs) are relatively common congenital anomalies in the mediastinum. Most of the patients with BC can be managed both safely and effectively by minimally invasive methods. Selected patients with a BC in a favorable location can have the cyst partially or completely excised by mediastinoscopic techniques. Herein we report on a case of a left lower paratracheal bronchogenic cyst that was completely resected by a video-assisted mediastinoscopic technique, and we discuss the technical aspects of this procedure.
