1.Effect of F1KN preparation extracted from lonicera dasystyla flower on transformation of human lymphocytes
Journal of Medicinal Materials - Hanoi 2003;8(2):81-84
Materials and methods: The flowers of Lonicera dasystyla were collected at the suburbs of Ha Noi city. The total flavonoid extract of the flowers was chromatographed to obtain the fraction F1KN, which was submitted to the examination for the stimulatory effect on the blast transformation of human lymphocytes. Results: At the dose of 30 mcg/ml in PBS, F1KN was proved to have a good effect. After 72h in vitro culture, the 30 mcg/ml dose increased the potential transformation of human lymphocytes by about 7 times compared with the control samples (1600 versus 230 pulses/min, respectively), while in the same condition, phytohemagglutinin (PHA) at the dose of 10 mcg/ml, increased the redioactivity by about 13000 pulses/min.

3.Progress in the studies of methods for testing cytotoxicity of dental biomaterial.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2009;26(3):688-691
The favorable biocompatibility of dental biomaterial is very important, which guarantees the safety and effectiveness of its clinical application. The cytotoxicity test, as one of the biological evaluation screening tests, is known to be an important and frequently used method to evaluate biocompatibility of biomaterials. This text is devoted to an overview of the cytotoxicity test for dental materials.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(2):338-341
In China, the evaluation of hemocompatibility of biomaterials is limited to hemolysis, coagulation time, and the number and morphology of platelets adhered on biomaterials. The present research, however, is aimed to establish a method for evaluating the function of sheet biomaterials in platelet activation. Platelet activation caused by glass, polyvinyl chloride or polymethylvinylsiloxane sheets was evaluated by measuring alpha-granule membrane protein (GMP-140) in platelet poor plasma, using a reasonable blood-material contact model vibrating at different speed. The result showed that the difference in platelet activation was not significantly different among the three above-mentioned materials at 140r/m or 200r/m. However, when it comes to 230r/m, significant difference was observed among these three groups, with glass > polyvinyl chloride > polymethylvinylsiloxane. But the order was reversed at 270r/m, which may be due to the different interfacial tension of different materials. Therefore, the method is suitable to evaluate platelet activation caused by sheet biomaterials, but an appropriate vibrating speed should be chosen. The interfacial tension plays an important role in the model and should be considered for results assessment.

5.Rationalizing the development of biomaterials with a new way of thinking.
Chinese journal of integrative medicine 2011;17(11):864-866
The history of biomaterials research is seriously surveyed. It is found that an immutable way of thinking for developing biomaterials is rooted deeply in Western medicine and biology. It is necessary to modify or change the current status of thinking. In this paper, the author presents an idea to research and develop biomaterials via a combined way of thinking, i.e., combining together the wisdom and knowledge of Western medicine, Chinese medicine, and other disciplines.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2013;37(1):62-65
In this article, medical consumable materials supply catalog technology was introduced through the principle, method and application of topic studies, at the same time bar code tags to tag and identify medical consumable materials were introduced. These two techniques established the correspondence between the real supplies logistics and information flow system, provided foundation for medical supplies all process tracking and traceability management. Supply catalog and encoding identification technology provide a new solution for the effective management of medical consumable materials.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(2):316-319
This paper is based on the research and analysis of the existing related measuring methods, and aimed at the characteristics of equivalent artificial soft materials, and it also proposes a new adaptable test method to measure elastic modules. The modules are based on capacitive gate transducer and micrometer which suits for soft materials. Based on this proposed method, a micro feed mechanism has been designed. The same strain of soft materials under compress test was realized, and the feasibility of this method by analyzing the test results was testified.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2005;22(6):1182-1184
It is difficult to test the elastic modulus of the soft bio-anthropomorphic materials by using the general stretch-strain test method. With the equipment for a hardness testing system of bio-anthropomorphic materials and millesimal gauge, we introduce in this paper a compress-strain test method and carry out the related test-data curve-fitness. The test results indicate that this kind of method can be adopted in testing the elastic modulus of the soft bio-anthropomorphic materials and help to compare and distinguish the biomechanics equivalent between the tissues.
