Introduction: To clarify the utility of a community care conference that incorporated continuous dialogue between multiple professions. Methods: Group interviews were conducted with nine facilitators in March 2019, and the data were qualitatively, inductively analyzed. Results: Six categories of utility were extracted: "the changing atmosphere of the community care conference," "new groups of people participating," "getting to know people from other professions," "building relationships with people from other professions," "changing perspectives on the case study," and "changing the quality of assistance. " Conclusion: A conceptual framework of utility of these meetings was identified, which is transformed qualitatively through the following three stages: "transforming the location," "transforming interprofessional relationships and perspectives," and "transforming assistance."

We evaluated the efficacy of evoked spinal potential (ESP) monitoring during thoracoabdominal aortic replacement to prevent intra-operative spinal ischemia. Nine patients underwent intraoperative ESP monitoring. The ESP was unchanged in 5 patients and decreased in 4 patients. However, ESP recovered in 2 of them by the following techniques: (1) perfusion of intercostal arteries, (2) elevation of distal bypass perfusion pressure, (3) slight hypothermia. Postoperative paraplegia occurred only 1 patient of the 2 whose ESP was not restored. The sensitivity and specificity of the efficacy of ESP monitoring were 100% and 87.5%, respectively. We concluded that ESP is the most useful monitoring for prevention of operative spinal ischemia during thoracoabdominal aortic replacement.

OBJECTIVETo study the chemical constituents of Ligusticum chuanxiong.
METHODThe constituents were separated and purified by column chromatography with silica gel and ODS, and identified by NMR, MS spectral data.
RESULTEight compounds were isolated and identified as Ligustilide(I), 4,5-dihydro-3-butylphthalide(II), Z, Z'-6,6',7,3 alpha-diligustili-de(III), Z-6,8',7,3'-diligustilide(IV), Z'-3,8-dihydro-6,6'7,3' alpha-diligustilide(V), 4-hydroxy-3-butylphthalide(VI), ferulic acid(VII) and Xiongterpene(VIII).
CONCLUSIONCompound VIII is a new compound.
