1.THE INHIBITON OF CHLORPROMAZINE ON ACTIVATION OF TYROSINE HYDROXYLASE BY PHORBOL DIBUTYRATE
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
Basing on the previous report, experiments proved that chlorpro-mazine decresed DOPA formation in superior cervical ganglion ( SCG ) for 50%, and formation from PDB for 60%. The work ruled out the possibilities of decrease of DOPA synthesis from the effect on N-or M-cholinergic receptor or from the influence on DOPA decarboxylase activity. So the decrease of DOPA formation was due to inhibition of protein kinase C blocking phosphorylation of tyrosine hydroxylase.

Experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of garlic, both fresh and old, on hypercholesterolemia. Forty healthy rabbits were equally divided into four groups, namely control, cholesterol, fresh garlic and old garlic. Except the control group, each rabbit in the other three groups was given 0.5g of cholesterol every day. The rabbits of fresh and old garlic groups were fed in addition respectively with fresh garlic, and garlic that had been stored for seven months, the doses being 2g for each. The results showed that fresh garlic had a significant effect of reducing diet-induced hypercholesterolemia and diminishing arteriosclerotic changes in aorta, but old garlic failed to show such effects.During the 50-day period when rabbits were fed with fresh or old garlic no toxic reaction was observed.

AIM: To explore the effect and mechanism of endothelin receptor antagonist on local angiotensin system of hypertrophic myocardial tissue. METHODS: Twenty four rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, control group (CG), hypertrophy group (HG) and endothelin receptor antagonist group (EG). The ratios of left ventricle weight to body weight (LVW/BW) and left ventricle weight to heart weight (LVW/HW) were measured to reflect myocardial hypertrophy. Protein expression of AT1R was detected by immunohistochemistry. The concentration of Ang Ⅱ was determined by ria. Activity of ACE was examined by spectrophotometry. A piece of myocardial tissue was observed in light microscope after HE or VG dyeing. RESULTS:(1) In comparison to CG, LVW/BW, LVW/HW, ACE activity, the concentration of Ang Ⅱ and the expression of AT1R of HG were increased significantly (P

The endogenous free radical clearing agent SOD andblood CAT in the blood and urine of 2 groups of pro-lapse of intervertebral disc and cervical spondylopathywere all lower than that of the healthy control group, while the—SH reflecting the metabolic disturbance offree radical was higher,After massotherapy, bloodSOD,CAT were increased, while LPO,—SH in urinewere all decreased, demonstrating that there is a dis-tinct parallel relationship existing in the changes ofthese enzyme in blood and urine.

Background:
The purpose of this research was to assess the role of heparanase (HPSE)/syndecan1 (SDC1)erve growth factor (NGF) on cancer pain from melanoma.
Methods:
The influence of HPSE on the biological function of melanoma cells and cancer pain in a mouse model was evaluated. Immunohistochemical staining was used to analyze HPSE and SDC1. HPSE, NGF, and SDC1 were detected using western blot. Inflammatory factors were detected using ELISA assay.
Results:
HPSE promoted melanoma cell viability, proliferation, migration, invasion, and tumor growth, as well as cancer pain, while SST0001 treatment reversed the promoting effect of HPSE. HPSE up-regulated NGF, and NGF feedback promoted HPSE. High expression of NGF reversed the inhibitory effect of HPSE down-regulation on melanoma cell phenotype deterioration, including cell viability, proliferation, migration, and invasion. SST0001 down-regulated SDC1 expression. SDC1 reversed the inhibitory effect of SST0001 on cancer pain.
Conclusions
The results showed that HPSE promoted melanoma development and cancer pain by interacting with NGF/SDC1. It provides new insights to better understand the role of HPSE in melanoma and also provides a new direction for cancer pain treatment.
