Objective To observe the latency and amplitude characteristics of event-related potential P300 under different target stimu-lus. Methods During January to December, 2014, 35 patients with memory impairment received P300 test under the percentage of target stimuli of 0.10 and 0.25. The latency, amplitude and area under amplitude were compared. Results There was no significant difference in la-tency (t<0.256, P>0.800), but the amplitude and area under amplitude increased under 0.10 compared with those under 0.25 (t>4.259, P<0.05). Conclusion Less target stimulation may improve the patients' attention and increase amplitude of P300, but no more interference in la-tency, suggesting latency of P300 is more stable for assessment of cognitive function.

To explore the nyopic shift after cataract extrac tion(ECCE ) with intraocular lens implantation (IOL． ) during childhood．2l children (24 eyes) with ECCE+0L are retrospectively analyzed,and were divided into two groups according to the age． The initial and last postoperative refractive errors were compared． The mean myopic shift was -0.89±0.40 (3～5 years group ) and -0.97± 0.l8 (6～ l0 years N) The difference between two groups was not significantly different(t=0.2l, P>0.05 ) ．The myopic shift was less than l.5re in 91.6W of the w． 83.32 of the eyes achieved a visual acuity of 0.5 or better in their pseudosphakic eyes． Undercorrecting most children 3 to 10 years of ag e by 1.00D from the IOL power predicted to achieve emmtropia．

Objective To understand the type and frequency of the gene mutation in exon 6 of phenylalanine hydroxylase(PAH) in the children of Ningxia,in order to provide foundation for phenylketonuria(PKU) gene diagnosis and prenatal diagnosis.Methods The exon 6 and flanking introns of 73 cases of classic PKU patients in Ningxia[all confirmed at Ningxia Neonatal Screening Center from Jan.2010 to Jun.2013,and distributed in Ningxia 22 County (city,district),aged from 15 days to 13 years,including 38 male cases,35 female cases,and Hui 39 cases,Han 34 cases] as well as 100 healthy newborn babies(Hui 50 cases;Han 50 cases) were sequentially analyzed by using the approach of PCR direct sequencing.Results There were 6 kinds of mutations detected,including EX6-96A ＞ G(6.85％),Q232X(2.74％),D222G(1.37％),V2301 (1.37％),R176X (0.68％) and N223I (0.68％).Mutation detection rate of exon 6 was 13.70％,and there were 3 mutation types:50.0％ missense mutation (3 types) ;33.3 ％ nonsense mutation (2 types) ;16.7％ cleavage site mutation(1 type).After reviewing the previous studies,the researchers had found out that EX6-96A ＞ G,Q232X and R176X were ever reported in China,and V2301 and D222G had been reported in our country for the first time but N223I was a new kind of PAH gene mutations were not been reported in the world.Conclusions It has defined the gene type and frequency of PAH gene mutations in exon 6 in the children of Ningxia and it will enrich the research of PKU in this area,and provide the basis for the development of gene diagnosis of PKU.

Objective To observe the efficacy and side effects of Jianpi Qutan Decoction combined with Quetiapine in the treatment negative symptoms of schizophrenia.Methods 60 inpatients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into two groups,with one group treated with Jianpi Qutan Decoction combined Quetiapine and the other group treated with Quetiapine.Effects and side effects were assessed with the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Treatment Emergent Symptoms Scale (TESS) respectively 1,4 and 8 weeks before and after the treatment.Results There was no significant difference in the overall efficacy between the two groups,but the improvement of the negative symptoms and illness provocation was significantly better in the treatment group than that in the control group respectively (P＜0.05).Moreover,the adverse reaction was milder in the treatment group.Conclusion It is suggested Jianpi Qutan Decoction in combination with typical antipsychotics is effective and safe in treating negative symptoms in schizophrenia patients.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of treating depressive patients with somatic symptoms with combined TCM and western medicine.Methods 69 patients were randomly divided into 2 groups:a combined therapy group (treated with Yangyin-Qinggan decoction and paroxetine) and mono-therapy (treated with paroxetine alone as an active control),The depressive and somatic symptoms were assessed before (0 week),during (2 weeks and 4 weeks) and at the end point (8 weeks) of the treatment.Results ①Both therapies alleviated the depressive symptoms:HAMD assessed among patients receiving combined therapy are listed as:(0 week:19.29±2.38),(2 weeks:17.38 ± 2.37),(4 weeks:15.27 ± 2.15),(8 weeks:13.35 ± 2.09) ;combined therapy started to ease the depressive symptoms after 2 weeks of treatment (2 week compared with 0weeks),similar improvements could also be noticed after 4 weeks of treatment 4 weeks with 2 weeks:P＜0.05)and at the end of this research (after 8 weeks of treatment:8 weeks with 4 weeks:P＜0.05).HAMD for mono-therapy are as:(0 week:18.69±3.03),(2 weeks:16.63±3.09),(4 weeks:15.20±2.95),(8 weeks:14.60±2.72) ; mono-therapy started to alleviate the depressive symptoms also,after 2 weeks of treatment (2 weeks compared with 0 week:P＜0.05),yet only slight improvements could be seen after 4 weeks (4 weeks with 2 weeks:P＞0.05) and 8 weeks of the treatment (8 weeks with 4 weeks:P＞0.05).The combined therapy turned to be more effective in alleviating depressive symptoms at the end point of the treatment (P＜0.05).②In terms of improving the somatic symptoms,the Somatization Symptom Scale (SSS) among patients with combined therapy were as follows:(0 week:48.74±4.07),(2 weeks:46.74±4.16),(4 weeks:43.74±3.77),(8 weeks:41.18 ± 3.50) ; Combined therapy was witnessed to start to ease those symptoms after 2 weeks o f treatment (2week compared with 0 weeks,P＜0.05),similar patterns were found again,after 4 weeks (4 weeks with 2 weeks:P＜0.05) and 8 weeks of the treatment (8 weeks with 4 weeks:P＜0.05).Mono-therapy was found to ease the somatic symptoms in a less-effective way,yet no difference was found between any two SSS after 2 weeks,4weeks or 8 weeks of treatment (P＞0.05,respectively).Combined therapy was better at improving the somatic symptoms (P＜ 0.01).Conclusion Combined therapy proved to be more effective in both relieving depression and somatic symptoms.

Objective To differentiate between peri-prosthetic infection and aseptic loosening using quantitative analysis of triphasic bone scintigraphy.Methods Twenty-eight patients (9 males,19 females; mean age 67.5 years,range 49-80 years) with recurrent joint pain after arthroplasty were retrospectively assessed.All patients underwent triphasic bone scintigraphy.ROI of each joint was drawn and the ratios of affected to unaffected side were calculated.The ratios of blood flow phase,blood pool phase,static phase,Creactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation (ESR) were quantitatively analyzed by ROC curve.The final diagnosis was based on microbiological and histological examinations.The optimal cut-off value was chosen based on the ideal sensitivity and specificity.Results Nine patients were diagnosed as septic loosening,17 patients aseptic loosening,1 patient bursitis of hip joint and 1 patient suture reaction.Taking the positive results of blood flow phase or blood pool phase as standard for diagnosing septic loosening,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of bone scintigraphy were 7/9,78.9％ (15/19) and 78.6％ (22/28),respectively.The AUC of blood pool phase was 0.942,and the sensitivity and specificity were 8/9 and 78.9％(15/19),respectively,with the optimal cut-off value of 1.40.The AUCs of blood flow ratio and CRP were 0.816 and 0.795,with cut-off values of 1.53 and 1.20,respectively.The AUCs of static phase ratio and ESR were 0.474 and 0.722,respectively,both P＞0.05.Conclusions For the diagnosis of septic loosening,quantitative analysis of triphasic 99Tcm-MDP bone scintigraphy,particularly with the ratio of blood pool phase,is more accurate than qualitative analysis.

Objective To investigate the effect of elispheric motion on balance and walking ability of hemiplegic patients after stroke. Methods From September to December, 2016, 40 hemiplegic patients after stroke were randomly divided into control group (n=20) and ob-servation group (n=20). Both groups received conventional rehabilitation, additionally, the control group received juggling ball training, and the observation group received elispheric motion combined with juggling ball training, 20 minutes a day, six days a week for six weeks. They were assessed with the Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Sensory (FMA-S), Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Lower Extremity (FMA-LE), Berg Bal-ance Scale (BBS) and TimedUp and GoTest (TUGT) before and six weeks after training. Results After training, the scores of FMA-S, FMA-LE, BBS significantly increased (t>10.012, P<0.05) in both groups, and were higher in the observation group than in the control group (t>2.129, P<0.05);the time of TUGT significantly shortened (t>10.001, P<0.001) in both groups, and were shorter in the observation group than in the control group (t>4.669, P<0.05). Conclusion Elispheric motion can facilitate to improve the balance and walking ability of hemi-plegic patients after stroke.

ObjectiveTo compare the performance of color Doppler utrasonography (CDUS) alone,magnetic resonance imagine (MRI) alone, and the combination of the two in the diagnosis of thyroid carcinona (TC). MethodsCDUS and MRI results of 54 focuses of carcinoma in 45 cases diagnosed as TC by postoperative pathological results were reviewed. The sensitivity of CDUS, MRI, and the combination of the two in the diagnosis of TC was compared. ResultsThe sensitivity of CDUS and MRI was 77.78％ (42/54)and 81.48％(44/54) respectively. The difference had no statistical significance (P ＞ 0.05 ). The specificity of CDUS and MRI was 88.17％ and 92.47％ respectively, the positive predictive value was 79.25％ and 86.27％ respectively,and the negative predictive value was 87.23％ and 89.58％ respectively. The sensitivity of the combination of CDUS and MRI was 94.44％ (51/54). The difference between the combination and CDUS or MRI alone had statistical significance( P ＜0.05). ConclusionsCDUS has higher detection rate than MRI in microcalcification of TC focus. However, MRI can show more clearly of the peripheral invasion and cervical lymph node metastasis.The combination of the two can improve the accuracy of TC diagnosis.
