1.Effect of caregiving burden and coping style for the nurses of continuous renal replacement therapy by motivational interviewing
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2015;31(33):2561-2564
Objective To probe the effect of motivational interviewing(MI) on the caregiving burden and coping style of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) nurses. Methods A total of 60 CRRT nurses were divided into intervention group (30 cases) and control group (30 cases) by random digits table method. The intervention group was given MI measures and the control group was used humane care measures, 6 months later, the differences of the caregiving burden and coping style were compared between the two groups. Results The caregiving burden's level after the intervention of two groups' nurses dropped, the level in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group: (42.02±3.57) points vs.(56.35±4.71) points, and there was significant difference, t=13.280, P<0.05.The positive coping style of two groups CRRT nurses was enhanced and the negative coping style was weakened. The positive coping style's level in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group and the negative coping style's level was lower than that in the control group:(16.56±4.78) points vs.(13.81±1.09) points, (7.73±0.28) points vs.(9.83±0.96) points, the all differences were statistically significant, t=3.071, 11.502, P<0.05.The positive coping style in the intervention group CRRT nurses with their caregiving burden was negatively correlated, r=-0.424, P< 0.01, but whose negative coping style with their caregiving burden was positively correlated, r=0.282, P< 0.05.Conclusions MI is more conductive to reduce the CRRT nurses' caregiving burden, change their way of coping, so that the CRRT nurses will put in greater enthusiasm to work.

Objective To observe safety and efficacy of intrauterine device MYCu IUD that releases indomethacin. Methods In total, 2000 women requiring IUD for contraception were chosen from domestic multiple clinical centers according to an unified standard. MYCu IUD and TCu380A IUD were randomly inserted for 1000 women each, respectively. All women were regularly followed-up one, three, six and 12 months after insertion. Results All the women were followed-up for 11 985.9 and 11 753.6 person-months in MYCu IUD and TCu380A IUD groups, respectively, with cumulative IUD application rates of 97. 80% and 94. 70%, and cumulative pregnancy rates with IUD of 0. 10% and 0. 31%, respectively. Cumulative expulsion (or partial expulsion) rate in MYCu IUD group was 0. 10%, significantly lower than that in TCu380A IUD one (1.73%), P <0. 01, and cumulative removal rate due to medical reasons (bleeding or pain) was 1.51 % and 2. 94%, respectively, P < 0. 05. Rate of IUD-associated termination and overall rate of termination differed significantly between the two groups, P <0. 01. Adverse reactions one, three, six and twelve months after IUD insertion included irregular bleeding, prolonged menstruation, increased menstrual blood volume and pain, less in indomethacin-containing MYCu IUD group than those in TCu380A IUD without containing it, P < 0. 01. Conclusions MYCu IUD is a comparatively ideal IUD that should be promoted for extensive use, with extremely low expulsion rate, good contraceptive effect, convenience and safety in insertion and removal, and less adverse effects.
3.Effects of Ginsenoside Rg3 on oxidative stress and apoptosis in diabetic kidney disease rats
Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2017;25(10):929-932
Objective To explore the effects of Ginsenoside Rg3 on oxidative stress and apoptosis in rats with diabetic kidney disease (DKD) induced by STZ.Methods DKD model induced by injection of STZ were randomly divided into 4 groups:diabetic kidney disease group(DKD),low, middle, and high dose Rg3 treated group (L-Rg,M-Rg,H-Rg).Normal rats were selected as control group (NC).Then the Rg3 treated groups were daily administrated with Rg3 (2,5,10 mg/kg) for 10 weeks, while the other two groups were given distilled water.Urinary protein was tested after collecting urine for 24 hours. The fasting plasma glucose (FPG),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),creatinine (Scr),and activity of oxidative stress markers such as GSH-Px,MDA,and SOD in serum were measured. The pathological changes of the kidney were evaluated by HE staining.Cell apoptosis was detected by TUNEL method, and expression of apoptosis related proteins Bax and Bcl-2 were detected by Western blotting. Results After Rg3 intervention, the general status and renal function such as BUN and Scr were significantly improved,24 h urinary protein decreased, serum SOD activity was enhanced, while the content of MDA decreased, apoptosis rate and expression of Bax decreased, and Bcl-2 increased. Conclusion Ginsenoside Rg3 has a protective effect on renal injury in diabetic rats, which may be related to the enhancement of the antioxidase activity in serum, and the inhibition of the apoptosis of renal cells.
