Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(25):1927-1931
Objective To describe the status quo of hope among nurses in tertiary general hospitals and to explore its influencing factors. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted. The Hope Status Scale, the Nurse′s Job Stressor Scale and self-designed demographic questionnaire were delivered to 1 160 nurses from nine hospitals. Results The score of hope scale was 23.05 ± 6.16. Different gender (t=2.045, P=0.004), age (F=7.193, P=0.000), marital status (t=2.806, P=0.005), length of employment (F=11.421, P=0.000), department (F=2.394, P=0.015), monthly income (F=5.351, P=0.001), participate in extracurricular activities (F=37.448, P=0.000) reached a statistically significant level. A significantly negative correlation was found between hope and work stress of nurses (r=-0.233, P=0.000);Logistic regression results showed that participating in extracurricular activities, length of employment, monthly income, departments and job stressors were major influencing factors of hope state of nurses. Conclusions More attention should be paid to the improvement of nurse′s hope. According to the influencing factors of hope, measures should be taken to strengthen the level of hope.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(3):402-406
Tumor has long been a hard-nut problem in the world medical field. The effect of the conventional drugs is very limited because of the intervention of multiple micro-environmental factors during the occurrence and progression of tumors. With the characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity and multi-targets synergistic effect, the long-circulating tumor targeted compound preparations show its unique advantages in improving tumor microenvironment and enhancing the therapeutic effect of treatment, thus it has gradually become a hotspot of studies both at home and abroad. Through consulting a great number of professional literatures at home and abroad in recent years, the authors summarized the current studies in vitro and in vive on long-circulating tumor targeted compound preparations in different carriers, in the expectation of providing new ideas and methods for the development of long-circulating tumor targeted compound preparations.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2015;33(1):75-79
OBJECTIVEThis study aims to investigate the effects of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and calcium hydroxide on proliferation and differentiation of human pulp cells from primary and permanent teeth.
METHODSCell proliferation was detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay. The mRNA expression levels of dentinogenesis-related factors, including alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and dentin sialophosphoprotein (DSPP), and odontoclastogenesis-related factors, such as osteo- protegerin (OPG) and receptor activator of NF-κB ligand (RANKL), were determined by real time polymerase chain reac- tion (PCR).
RESULTSPrimary and permanent pulp cells treated with calcium hydroxide exhibited significantly lower proli- feration rates than the control cells (P<0.01). By contrast, the MTA-treated group showed significantly higher proliferation rates than the control group (P<0.01). Real time PCR results showed that calcium hydroxide-treated primary pulp cells exhi- bited significantly decreased ALP, DSPP, and OPG expression compared with the control group (P<0.01). Conversely, the MTA-treated group displayed significantly increased ALP, DSPP, and OPG expression (P<0.01). Calcium hydroxide-treated primary pulp cells also exhibited significantly upregulated RANKL expression (P < 0.01); by contrast, MTA-treated cells did not show any change in RANKL expression (P>0.05). Likewise, MTA-treated permanent pulp cells showed significantly upregulated ALP and DSPP expression (P < 0.01). However, the calcium hydroxide-treated group remained almost the same as the control group (P > 0.05). Neither MTA nor calcium hydroxide affected OPG and RANKL expression in per- manent pulp cells (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONMTA is more suitable as a pulp-capping agent, particularly in primary teeth, than calcium hydroxide.
