1.Applying of radioactive immune quantitative method in evaluation result of treatment I-131 in patients with Basedow’s disease
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;503(2):59-60
175 Basedow’s disease patients (45 males and 170 females; mean age: 44.48 ± 8.89) were treated by I-131 at Bach Mai hospital and Military Hospital 103. Total T3 level in serum was 6.45 ± 2.81 nmol/l (n=146) and total T4 level was 243.58 ± 72.34 nmol/l (n=143). Before treatment T3 and T4 level increased abnormaly comparing with healthy people. By 4 months of treatment, T3 level was 2.15 ± 0.78 nmol/l and T4 level was 120.35 ± 36.81nmol/l, FT4 level was 15.67 ± 6.51pmol/l. With average dose of 6.52 ± 1.64 mCi I-131, most of patients had normalized total T3, T4 level

2.Effects of sex, day-night rhythm on the concentration of the growth hormones in normal people
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):44-45
Growth hormone (GH) concentration in the blood of healthy adult was measured by RIA (radioimmunoassay) method. The results are as follow: Concentration of GH in the blood of male is lower than in female(p<0.05). There is no significant difference in concentrations of GH at 8-10 AM and 6-9 PM.

3.Influences of day night rhythm and geographical region on the changes of thyroid hormones and TSH in normal people.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):28-30
A study on the healthy voluntary adults without acute or chronic thyroid diseases, with ages of 21-48 who lived in Hanoi, Hai phong and HoChi Minh city has shown that there were no differences of total T3, T4 and FT3, FT4, TSH in the morning, noon and afternoon and there were no significant difference of these between men and women in each region and between regions.

4.Changes of alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and carcinoembrionic antigen (CEA) in some patients with cancer
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;266(11):6-9
The authors used radioimmunoassay (RIA) method for determining AFP and CEA concentrations in the blood of healthy adults and cancer patients. The results are follow: 1. Serum AFP concentration in the blood of healthy adults is 2.67+/-1.21 IU/ml, n=81 (from 0 to 5 IU/ml) and CEA concentration is 3.95+/- 1.12ng/ml (from 0 to 6 ng/ml). 2. The serum AFP concentration is higher in patients with hepatic cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis and more higher in the group of patients with primary cancer of liver. In serum of patients with cancer of stomach, colorectal and bronchi, the CEA concentrations are significantly increased than healthy. So RIA method determining CEA, AFP concentrations in serum has an important value in diagnosing cancer of liver, gastrointestinal tract and bronchi.

5.The change of thyroid hormones and TSH concentration in people living in the island endemic goiter
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;(11):31-33
T3, T4, TSH concentrations in the blood of people without endemic goiter living in the island endemic goiter area (A area) were not changed in comparing with health people in Ha Noi (B area). But T3, TSH concentrations increased and T4 decreased in people with and without goiter in A area to compare with healthy people in B area. These above changes were clear in people with goiter in the A area.

6.Changes of thyroid hormones, GH, prolactin in diabetic patients type II
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;392(12):27-28
The quantification of total T3, T4, FT3, FT4, GH and STH in patients with type II diabetes, without thyroid or pituitary of gland diseases. The patients have suffered the diabetes for 5 years has shown that the concentrations of T4, TSH, FT4 in diabetic patients changed insignificantly while the concentration of T3 was lower than this in normal people. The concentration of GH, prolactin in the diabetic patients and in normal men was lower than these in femal.

7.Evaluation of changes of image and weight of thyroid in patients with the basedow by scintigraphy.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):11-13
An evaluation of image and weight of the thyroid in patients with the basedow by scintigraphy has shown that there were no significant changes of length of right and left lobe of thyroid between age groups of patients with basedow. The weight of thyroid calculated as formula of Goodwill were more than these calculated as formula of Okubo and these in men were more than in women. The size and weight of thyroid in patients with basedow were more than these in normal people.

8.Incidence of hypothyroidism in patients with Basedow disease after treatment by I-131
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 1998;(1):30-33
98 patients with Basedow disease were treated by I-131 at Department of Nuclear Medicine, Bach Mai Hospital. The results are as follow: after 7-9 years of I-131 therapy, no recurrence was reported in 100% patients. Incidence of hypothyroidism after 1 year is 4.0%. Accumulated incidence of hypothyroidism in every year is 1.75%. This incidence is lower than that of foreign authors. The treatment of patients with Basedow disease by I-131 in Vietnam is safe, economic and simple method.

9.Determination of serum TRAb (TSH receptor antibodies) concentration in adults and basedow patients before and after I-131 treatment by RIA method
Journal of Medical Research 2002;17(1):51-54
Serum TRAb concentration in healthy and Basedow patients before and after I-131 treatment was measured by RIA (Radioimmunoassay) method. The results were as follows: We standardized RIA method for measuring TRAb. Serum TRAb concentration in healthy adults (n=20) was at undetectable level. Serum TRAb concentration in the Basedow patients before I-131 treatment was 326.98+/-206.21mM/ml (n=20), which are hundreds times higher in comparison with normal people. After I-131 treatment: 5/12 Basedow patients have TRAb concentrations in the threshold of indefectibility and in 7/12 patients were 127.67+/-59.21 mU/ml, lower than before treatment.

10.Study on the concentration of blood TRAb in the healthy people and patients with basedow before and after treatment with the I-131
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2000;(4):25-27
TRAb concentration in the blood of healthy adults and Basedow patients before and after I-131 treatment was measured by RIA (Radioimmunoassay) method. The results were as follow: RIA method for measuring TRAb was standardized. TRAb concentration in the blood of healthy adults was in the very low level (undetectable). TRAb concentrations in the Basedow patients before I-131 treatment were 426.98+/-206.21 mU/ml and by many times higher than that of healthy adults. After I-131 treatment: TRAb concentrations in the 5/12 Basedow patients could not be measured (undetectable) and in 7/12 patients were 127.67+/-59.21 mU/ml.
