1.The change of thyroid hormones and TSH concentration in people living in the island endemic goiter
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;(11):31-33
T3, T4, TSH concentrations in the blood of people without endemic goiter living in the island endemic goiter area (A area) were not changed in comparing with health people in Ha Noi (B area). But T3, TSH concentrations increased and T4 decreased in people with and without goiter in A area to compare with healthy people in B area. These above changes were clear in people with goiter in the A area.

2.Applying of radioactive immune quantitative method in evaluation result of treatment I-131 in patients with Basedow’s disease
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;503(2):59-60
175 Basedow’s disease patients (45 males and 170 females; mean age: 44.48 ± 8.89) were treated by I-131 at Bach Mai hospital and Military Hospital 103. Total T3 level in serum was 6.45 ± 2.81 nmol/l (n=146) and total T4 level was 243.58 ± 72.34 nmol/l (n=143). Before treatment T3 and T4 level increased abnormaly comparing with healthy people. By 4 months of treatment, T3 level was 2.15 ± 0.78 nmol/l and T4 level was 120.35 ± 36.81nmol/l, FT4 level was 15.67 ± 6.51pmol/l. With average dose of 6.52 ± 1.64 mCi I-131, most of patients had normalized total T3, T4 level

3.Effects of sex, day-night rhythm on the concentration of the growth hormones in normal people
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):44-45
Growth hormone (GH) concentration in the blood of healthy adult was measured by RIA (radioimmunoassay) method. The results are as follow: Concentration of GH in the blood of male is lower than in female(p<0.05). There is no significant difference in concentrations of GH at 8-10 AM and 6-9 PM.

4.Influences of day night rhythm and geographical region on the changes of thyroid hormones and TSH in normal people.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):28-30
A study on the healthy voluntary adults without acute or chronic thyroid diseases, with ages of 21-48 who lived in Hanoi, Hai phong and HoChi Minh city has shown that there were no differences of total T3, T4 and FT3, FT4, TSH in the morning, noon and afternoon and there were no significant difference of these between men and women in each region and between regions.

5.Determination of size and volume of thyroid in normal people by ultrasound and CT scanner.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):35-37
This study measured the size and volume of thyroid by ultrasound and CT scanner. The results have shown that the volume of thyroid in normal people measured by ultrasound was 13,02+/- 4,25 ml(male) and 11,36+/- 3,73 (female). Most of people had size of right lobe of thyroid larger than left lobe. The volume of thyroid measured by ultrasound increased 8,5% (male) and 13,1%(female) when comparing with these measured by CT scanner.

6.Effects of age and gender on the change in thyroid volume of normal people when determining by ultrasound
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;383(6):38-40
From 8 to 16 years old, the thyroid volume of normal people has insignificant difference between males and females. but from 17 years old and later, this volume is higher in males than in females. From 8 to 14 years old, there is insignificant difference in volume between left and right lobe, but from 15 years old, the volume of right lobe is higher than that of left lobe. The volume of thyroid tends to increase over time and gain maximum value at 25 to 30 years old, then decrease with age. this volume of normal male adult (18-80 years) is 13.35ml and that of normal female adult is 11.12ml.

7.Changes of T3, T4, FF4, TSH and thyroglobulin in the healthy people and patients with thyroid disease.
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1998;225(9, 10):50-55
The quantification of thyroid oringinated hormone and thyroglobulin by immunoradiometry assay (IRMA) in healthy people (newborn to elderly) and patients with thyroid diseases has shown that T3,T4 and TSH in healthy people changed clearly with age (maximal level after birth 24 hours and reduction after birth 72 hours. T3 and T4 were increased but TSH was reduced in patient with basedow when compared with these in healthy people. In the contrary, T3 and T4 were reduced and TSH was increased obviously in patients with hypothyroidism comparing with the healthy people.

Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1998;225(9, 10):40-45
A study on 352 patients with the first consultation was diagnosed Basedow in the Army central hospital 108 during 1996- 1997. The results have shown that age, models of change of T3, T4 in patients with Basedow and the comparison of T3, T4 with the clinical symptoms played an important indicators to monitor the progress of the disease, evaluation of normalization of thyroid and indication for operation.

9.Fundamental principle of radiotherapy with radio active-isotopes
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2003;10():9-12
Radiotherapy with radioactive-isotopes was used in the treating of some thyroidal diseases, malignant diseases of blood, and cancer… The efficacy of this method is depended on radiation, radiating energy, destiny of in vivo transformation of radioactive-isotopes, half-life disintegration time, and characteristics of treated cells and tissues. Author introduces some diseases treated by radiotherapy such as Basedow’s disease, simple goiter, polycythemia, and chronic disease of white blood cell… In addition author introduces some methods such as treating by radioactive colloid and radioimmunotherapy

10.Some clinical, paraclinical characteristics of differentiated thyroid metastasis cancer patients after surgery and before using I-13
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2005;0(12):25-30
A study on 70 thyroid cancer patients at the K Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital got the results: thyroid cancer in females was 3.37 times more than in males. Mean age was 38.813.3 years. Incidence of distance metastases was 5/70 (7.1%). Histology type: Papillary cell carcinoma was 68.6%, follicular cell carcinoma is 12.8% and mixed papillary-follicular was 18.6%. Incidence of hypothyroidism was 100% (70/70) after 4 – 6 weeks total thyroidectomy. Thyroid remnants after total thyroidectomy was 5.253.01ml. Thyroid uptake of I-131 before treatment was 6.85.2%. The median serum concentration of thymoglobulin was 105.289.3 mg/ml
