Objective To compare the performance of 2009 and 2010 reference standards of the United States Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI)in antimicrobial susceptibility for Enterobacteriaceae. Methods The breakpoints of susceptibility for ceftriaxone, ceftazidime and aztreonam in CLSI M100-S19(2009)were used to analyze results of antimicrobial susceptibility of Escherichia coli (308 isolates)and Klebsiella pneumoniae(194 isolates),as well as those revised in M100-S20(2010).Results With both the breakpoints in CLSI M100-S19(2009)and CLSI M100-S20(2010),proportions of antimicmbial resistance of ceftriaxone, ceftazidime and aztreonam for isolates of extended-spectrum β-lactamases(ESBLs)-producing E. coli were 84.2 percent vs.98.0 percent and 84.9 percent vs.98.0percent,respectively:those for isolates of ESBLs negative E. coli were 4.2 percent vs.7.7 percent and 5.6percent vs.8.4 percent, respectively;those for isolates of ESBLs positive Klebsiella spp.were 67.2 percent vs.90.2 percent and 67.2 percent vs.90.2 percent, respectively:and those for isolates of ESBLs negative Klebsiella spp.were 9.8 percent vs.10.6 percent and 10.6 percent vs.10.6 percent, respectively. Conclusions Proportions of antimicrobial resistance for ceftriaxone, ceftazidime and aztreonam with the rcference breakpeints of CLSI M100-S20(2010)increase to various extent,8.8 compared to those with the old ones in 2009.Compared with ESBLs negative isolates,ESBLs positive isolates are affected much more by the breakpeints of CLSI M100-S20(2010).Proportion of affected Klebsiella spp.by the revised breakpoints of CLSI M100-S20(2010)for ceftazidime and aztreonam is higher than that of E. coli with ESBLs positive.
3.The effect of saponin isolated from stems and leaves of ginseng (SLG) on immunologic function in mice
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
The effects of SLG on the immune function of normal and immune-suppressed mice were investigated. The results showed that SLG (50mg/kg, im) could correct the suppressive effect of cyclophosphamide, dexamethasone or prednisolone on spleen and. thymus weight, serum specific antibody level and lymphocyte transformation. SLG could also improve the phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophages and enhance peripheral blood ANAE+-lymphocyte ratio of mice. No obvious effect of SLG on the normal mice were observed except that it could increase the antibody level of normal mice. The results implicate that SLG may have some immunomodulatory effect.

5.The characteristics and treatment of rare embryonal tumors of central nervous system in children
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2021;36(3):168-171
Embryonal tumors of central nervous system (CNS) are highly invasive malignant tumors that mainly affect infants.Even if the current active treatment strategies are given, the prognosis is still very poor. The 2016 World Health Organization(WHO) classification integrates the genetic information of diseases with histopathology, so as to make the classification and diagnosis of these tumors more accurate. In the new classification, embryonal tumors of CNS include the most common medulloblastoma, and the rare embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, C19MC-altered, embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, not otherwise specified (NOS), medulloepithelioma, CNS neuroblastoma, CNS ganglioneuroblastoma, CNS embryonal tumor, NOS, atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, and CNS embryonal tumor with rhabdoid features.Further study and exploration on the biological nature of these rare brain tumors will provide scientific basis for new treatment methods.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1996;0(01):-
Objective To observe the changes of molecular markers of prethrombotic state (PTS) in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) undergoing coronary agioplasty. Methods Thirty-two patients with CAD (group A) and twenty-four CAD patients with noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) (group B) were chosen as objects undergoing coronary agioplasty, and molecular markers of PTS, lipid peroxide (LPO), endothelial function were measured before and 20 minutes, 24 hours, and 7 days after the opration respectively. Results There were significant changes of molecular markers of PTS, LPO, and endothelial function in both groups after the opration, but the changes were even more pronounced in group B. It was on the 7th day that there were still the changes in group B, whereas the changes were prone to the levels of pre-opration in group A. Conclusion There was a series of significant changes of molecular markers of PTS, LPO, and endothelial function in CAD patients after the angioplasty, and the changes were even more pronounced in those with DM.
