4.Current status of proton therapy techniques for lung cancer
Radiation Oncology Journal 2019;37(4):232-248
Proton beams have been used for cancer treatment for more than 28 years, and several technological advancements have been made to achieve improved clinical outcomes by delivering more accurate and conformal doses to the target cancer cells while minimizing the dose to normal tissues. The state-of-the-art intensity modulated proton therapy is now prevailing as a major treatment technique in proton facilities worldwide, but still faces many challenges in being applied to the lung. Thus, in this article, the current status of proton therapy technique is reviewed and issues regarding the relevant uncertainty in proton therapy in the lung are summarized.

6.Advances in the application of aberrant DNA methylation in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2023;57(8):1292-1297
The early diagnosis of lung cancer has become the focus of clinical attention, with the incidence and mortality of lung cancer increasing. Aberrant DNA methylation occurs in the primary stage of lung cancer, then the methylation degree can be changed dynamically due to the progress and the treatment of lung cancer. To date, a growing number of studies have reported that special gene methylation exploits in the clinical diagnosis, curative effect monitoring, and prognosis evaluation of lung cancer. Meanwhile, clinical trials about DNA methyltransferase inhibitors for lung cancer therapy are also underway. It is worth looking forward that detecting aberrant DNA methylation helps diagnose and treat lung cancer.

8.Therapeutic strategy and prognostic factors in colorectal cancer patients with pulmonary metastasis.
Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2012;15(10):1017-1019
Patients with pulmonary metastasis from colorectal cancer have been considered to be associated with poor prognosis. It is a problem to improve survival for patients who suffer pulmonary metastasis from colorectal cancer by analyzing the prognosis of patients who underwent pulmonary surgery or not and then choose the right treatment regimen. The identification of prognostic factors is particularly important in colorectal cancer patients with pulmonary metastasis.

9.Advances of pathological diagnosis of lung cancer based on clinical needs.
Chinese Journal of Pathology 2023;52(2):103-106
Pathological diagnosis of lung cancer keep updating and developing, in order to meet the clinical needs in the era of precision medicine. It mainly involves the advances of histological subtype classification, molecular testing for targeted therapy, biomarkers detection for immunotherapy and the pathological evaluation for neoadjuvant therapy. Nowadays, pathological diagnosis of lung cancer present a multidisciplinary model including clinical medicine, radiology and pathology. It is gradually moving towards standardization with expection to provide better guidance for clinical treatment and prognosis.

Primary pulmonary involvement of Hodgkin's disease is unusual, and can be distinguished from nodal Hodgkin's disease involving the lung secondarily. We report a case of with primary pulmonary manifestation of Hodgkin's disease in young woman who survived 2 years after diagnosis with literature reviews. She had unilateral cavitating lung lesions. After pathological examination, we diagnosed as primary pulmonary Hodgkin's disease, mixed cellularity type and treated with conventional chemotherapy and adjuvant radiation.
