1.Signaling pathways inducing embryonic stem cells to differentiate into epidermal and corneal epithelial cells
Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2017;31(2):195-202
Stem cells are a group of self-renewal cells with the potential to differentiate into a variety of cell lineages. Embryonic stem cells can differentiate into more than 200 types of cell lineages belonging to endodermal, mesodermal and ectodermal tissues. Corneal epithelial cells derive from epidermal ectoderm during embryonic development. When the ocular surface is severely damaged, corneal epithelium with proliferation potential is essential for its reconstruction. Recent studies are focused on differentiation of bioactive corneal epithelial cells. This review summarizes signaling pathways including Notch, Wnt, bone morphogenetc protein or fibroblast growth factor pathways that are involved in regu?lating the development of embryonic ectoderm and corneal epithelial cells revealed in previous studies.

Objective To observe the serum level of the CD62p,CD63 which indicates the platelet activity of the elderly patients treated by different-dose simvastatin after PCI.Methods Sixty-eight patients with acute coronary syndrome post PCI were randomly divided into 20 mg/d simvastatin group(36 patients)and 40 mg/d simvastatin group(32 patients). We examined the patient's blood CD62p,CD63 levels on the day before the treatment of PCI in both groups. Then all of the patients in both groups received different-dose simvastatin treatment(20mg/d or 40 mg/d qn po);we observed the results again after four weeks in both groups, and compared the results. Results The patients' blood CD62p,CD63 levels decreased significantly after the treatment of simvastatin in both groups(P

Objective To discuss the impact on serum interleukin-4 and interleukin-17 in patients with hypertension and early renal damage treated with intermediate frequency If pulse electrical stimulation on acupuncture points. Methods Selected 100 patients diagnosed with early renal damage in hypertension, those were divided into control group and treatment group randomly,50 patients in the control group treated with conventional antihypertensive drugs and symptomatic treatment of diseases, while the treatment group on the basis of conventional therapy plus IF pulse point therapy,20 days after treatment compared serum IL-4 and IL-17 levels. Results Treatment group, serum IL-14 and IL-17 levels were significantly lower than the control group (all P < 0.05). Conclusion Shenshu, Mingmen ,Guanyuan and other points by electrical stimulation pulse frequency ,could make IL-4 ,IL-17 and other indicators of early renal damage improve the role, and reduce hypertension early target organ damage, and help reduce pressure and reduce the amount of antihypertensive drugs.

Anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody-associated encephalitis is a kind of autoimmune encephalitis mediated by anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody, which belongs to anti-neuronal intracellular synaptic protein antibody-associated encephalitis. Clinical manifestations include stiff-person syndrome, cerebellar ataxia, limbic encephalitis, seizures, etc., often associated with a variety of autoimmune diseases, rarely associated with tumors. Detection of anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody is crucial for clinical diagnosis. Immunotherapy helps to relieve symptoms and improve prognosis. The incidence of this disease is low, and there are few reports at home and abroad. This paper intends to review the research on this encephalitis, hoping to improve the clinicians′ understanding and the level of diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

In recent years, obesity is becoming one of the focus problems of social public concern.Maternal obesity may pose a threat on maternal health, for examble the increase of obstetrical complications,it may also affect the short-term and long-term health of the offspring.Maternal obesity may affect children's mental disorder,no review to date has discussed it systematically in China. Now,the health hazards of maternal obesity for the offspring including childhood autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, neural tube defects, neurobehavioral development disorders and so forth were reviewed, and to provide a reasonable guidance of obesity management.

The method for preparation of models of myocardial ischemia in rats have been well described in the literature, are of practical value and have been chosen by many researchers for pharmacological studies of drugs for human diseases. However, there is still lack in some details of their operability and practicability. We re-selected the coronary artery ligation site, simplified the procedures and improved the experimental method for preparation of the models, and made satisfactory result. In this paper we will review the selection of method for preparing myocardial ischemia model in rats, describe some details of the surgical operation, explored the influencing factors and so on, and provide a reference for selecting most appropriate animal model in research.

Objective To explore the effect of gender on the concentration of D-dimer between the healthy and the patients with aortic dissection. Methods From January 2015 to January 2016,53 patients with aortic dissection were treated in a hospital and 50 patients of health control group were matched by age,Sysmex CS5100 was used to detect the concentration of D-dimer in the selected population, and the results were analyzed statistically. Results In the same age group, the concentration of D-dimer in healthy control group female was higher than that in male, difference was statistically significant (t=5.357,P<0.05);The concentration of D-dimer in male patients with aortic dissection group was higher than that of female patients, difference was statistically significant(t=-2.041,P<0.05).The concentration of D-dimer in patients with aortic dissection group was higher than that of the healthy control group, difference was statistically significant(t=5.757,P<0.05).Conclusion The concentration of D-dimer between healthy adults and patients with aortic dissection exist gender differences, and it has a certain correlation.

Objective To explore the methods of the standardized management used in humanistic nursing care and to assess its effects. Methods Measures of the standardized management began to be used in such care at the hospital since January 2013.Questionnaires of patient satisfaction with nursing care for inpatients and those discharged were used to assess the effects of the standardized management measures periodically and synthetically. Results The patient satisfaction with humanistic nursing care keeps increasing year by year from 2013 to 201 5.The differences among three sets of data are statistically significant(P < 0.05 ).Conclusions Humanistic nursing care calls for promotion of standardized management. It is high time to build such a standardized management system at the hospitals.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2024;36(10):838-841
Objective:
To investigate the situation of road traffic injuries (RTIs) among middle school students in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide the basis for implementation of interventions against RTIs among students.
Methods:
From 2021 to 2023, a multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 82 junior high school classes and 89 senior high school classes in Shaoxing City as the survey population. Data on basic information, commuting travel, road safety behaviors and road safety knowledge awareness were collected through questionnaires, and the prevalence of RTIs in the past year was analyzed.
Results:
A total of 6 287 middle school students were surveyed, and 971 cases of RTIs were reported, with a reporting rate of 15.44%. The reporting rate of RTIs was higher in males than in females (17.68% vs. 13.34%, P<0.05). The reporting rate of RTIs was higher in high school students than in junior high school students (17.70% vs. 12.66%, P<0.05). The students who mainly walked to school (18.00%), walked 5 days a week (17.82%) and traveled with classmates (17.58%) had higher reporting rates of RTIs. Among those who walked for ≥20 minutes, the reporting rate of RTIs was higher in males than in females (P<0.05). Among different road safety behaviors, the reporting rate of RTIs was higher in males than in females who used electronic devices (P<0.05). The reporting rates of RTIs were relatively high among students who played for ≥10 minutes on the way (32.92%), crossed traffic lights directly when being late for school (41.54%) and crossed traffic barriers directly (30.67%). The reporting rate of RTIs among middle school students decreased with the increase of road safety knowledge scores (P<0.05).
Conclusions
Male students, high school students, students with road risky behaviors and with low awareness of road safety knowledge have higher reporting rates of RTIs. It is necessary to strengthen road safety knowledge education for students.
