Objective To study the clinical significance of P - selection expression in children with viral encephalitis and the correlation between this expression and the cerebral infarction with critical viral encephalitis. Methods Flow cytometric was employed to detect the expression of P- selection on the surface of platelet membrane in 44 children with viral encephalitis(20 light patients and 24 critical patients) and 20 healthy control children. The area of the cerebral infarction was determined by computed tomographic scan in 20 patients with critical viral encephalitis. The correlation between the two variables was analyzed. Objective To understand the prevalence and distribution characteristics of symptoms of anorectal diseases in Chinese residents(older than 18) as to provide reference for prevention,care and treatment of anorectal diseases.Methods Stratified sampling was used according to the economic level in every province in the country,and each province selected two cities.Face-toface interviews were used to collect data in 68 906 interviewers and SPSS 17.0 was performed to analyze the data.Results Of 68 906 respondents,25 634 (37.20 ％) reported to suffer from at least one symptoms of anorectal diseases.The prevalence of the top 5 main symptoms of anorectal diseases were prolapse of anus neoplasms(14.55％),anal sore(16.53％),anal pendant expansion (14.98 ％),perianal abscess (5.88 ％),hematochezia (22.52 ％).Each symptom frequency difference was statistically significant (x2=7 727.6,P＜0.001).Populations which proned to suffer from symptoms of anorectal disease had the following characteristics:living in city,male,ageing 25-54 years old,having specialist qualifications,lacking of physical.Conclusion The prevalence of symptoms of anorectal diseases among Chinese residents was high,and each symptom had its distribution characteristics.More targeted interventions should be taken in anorectal disease prone people.

To further explore the result of bilingual teaching in pediatrics,we randomly chose 200 undergraduates of 4 class and released students'questionnaires about bilingual teaching with teaching content before and after class to assess students'understanding of bilingual teaching and analysed appraisal result.We found no significant difference of student score between students accepting bilingual teaching and not accepting the bilingual teaching,but there was difference for English tests and expression level.So we think that students can fully accept the bilingual teaching of pediatrics under the premise with selecting appropriate teaching methods and means.

27 autopsy cases died of anaphylactic shock induced by mainline during 1996-2005 were selected and analyzed. The results showed that most anaphylactic shock induced by mainline were rapid type and more easily happened in individual clinique and lawless clinique, and it could be arisen by either antibiotics or non-antibiotics. In some cases, there may be no pathologic findings by autopsy. So, all the materials must be taken into account for determination the anaphylactic shock, such as drugs, clinic symptom, autopsy findings, and so on.

Objective To establish a method of measuring adipose content and fat distribution of the thigh in normal glucose tolerance (NGT) subjects,and to investigate its relation to insulin resistance.Methods Insulin sensitivity was evaluated by hyperinsulinemic and euglycemic clamp technique,and femoral adipose content and fat distribution were determined by MRI in 30 individuals with NGT including 15 with normal weight and 15 overweighted or obese subjects.Results Compared to normal weight group,the subscutaneous adipose tissue of thigh (SCAT) [(176.7?21.6) cm~2 vs (115.0?12.8 ) cm~2,P＜0.05],adipose tissue of thigh beneath the fascia (SFAT) [(75.4?4.4 ) cm~2 vs (57.5?4.7 ) cm~2,P＜0.01] and intermuscular adipose tissue (IMAT) [(28.3?3.2) cm~2 vs (14.5?1.1 ) cm~2,P＜0.01] were greater in overweight/obesity group.Overweight/ obesity group had lower insulin sensitivity( glucose disposal rate under steady state of hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp:4.54?0.43 vs 7.88?0.75,P＜0.01).SFAT and IMAT were significantly correlated with insulin sensitivity.SFAT showed the most marked correlation with insulin sensitivity.Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the increased SFAT played a pivotal role in insulin resistance.Conclusion The adipose content and fat distribution are highly correlated with insulin sensitivity and the adipose tissue of thigh beneath fascia may play the most significant role in insulin sensitivity.

Guanylate binding protein-1(GBP-1) is an interferon-induced protein. To observe its antiviral effect against Hepatitis B virus (HBV) and Coxsackie virus B3 (CVB3), we constructed an eukaryotic expression vector of human GBP-1(hGBP-1). Full-length encoding sequence of hGBP-1 was amplified by long chain RT-PCR and inserted into a pCR2.1 vector, then subcloned into a pCDNA3.1(-) vector. Recombinant hGBP-1 plasmids and pHBV1.3 carrying 1.3-fold genome of HBV were contransfected into HepG2 cells, and inhibition effect of hGBP-1 against HBV replication was observed. Hela cells transfected with recombinant hGBP-1 plasmids were challenged with CVB3, and viral yield in cultures were detected. The results indicated that recombinant eukaryotic expression plasmid of hGBP-1 was constructed successfully and the hGBP-1 gene carried in this plasmid could be efficiently expressed in HepG2 cells and Hela cells. hGBP-1 inhibit CVB3 but not HBV replication in vitro. These results demonstrate that hGBP-1 mediates an antiviral effect against CVB3 but not HBV and perhaps plays an important role in the interferon-mediated antiviral response against CVB3.

To establish a replication cellular model of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and determine its application in antiviral drug evaluation,we constructed an expression plasmid which contained 1.3 copies of the HBV genome,and measured the level of viral replication after transient transfection in Huh7 cells.We then observed the effect of antiviral drug administration.1.3 fold of the HBV(ayw) gene fragment was cloned into pCR2.1 by PCR and restriction endonuclease digestion.The recombinant plasmid was trans ient transfected into Huh7 cells,HBsAg,HBeAg and HBV DNA in supernatant of Huh7 cells were measured by ELISA and real-time PCR respectively; intracellular HBV replicative intermediates and intracellular HBV transcripts were detected by Southern blot and Northern blot respectively.The antiviral effect of adefovir,a novel anti-HBV nucleotide analogue,was evaluated in this cellular model system.The results indicated that a recombinant plasmid of HBV replicon was constructed successfully; the HBV genome carried in plasmid pHBV1.3 could efficiently replicate and be expressed in Huh 7 cells,adefovir could inhibit HBV replication in this cellular model,and the inhibition was dosage-dependent.The conclusion is HBV replicon,which can initiate viral replication efficiently in hepatoma cells,may be a useful tool in the study of HBV replication and antiviral drug.
