Aim To investigate the effects of the alco-hol extract from Coreopsis tinctoria Nutt. on urinary metabolomics of spontaneous hypertension rats ( SHR) . Methods SHR were fed with normal diet for 1 week and then, they were randomly divided into six groups:untreated control, the high, middle, low dos-age group of the alcohol extract(3.2 g·kg-1 ,1.6 g· kg-1,0.8 g·kg-1) , captopril group(4 mg·kg-1) and Duzhong tablet group(187.5 mg·kg-1). The u-rine of normal rats and SHR hypertension model rats was collected on 1,2,3,4 weeks. The metabolic pro-files were analyzed using 1 H-NMR. PLS-DA methods were used to discriminate the difference and the bio-markers. Results Compared with model group, the blood pressure of all groups was significantly lowered after 4 weeks ( P <0.01 ) . The alcohol extract from Coreopsis tinctoria Nutt. could significantIy reduce blood pressure, and the urinary metabolic profiles trea-ted with Coreopsis tinctoria Nutt. were changed signifi-cantly such as IIL,creatine,β-glucose,etc. Conclusion The alcohol extract from Coreopsis tinctoria Nutt. could significantIy reduce blood pressure and change the urinary metabolomics profiles of SHR rats.

AIM:To develop a new method of gas chromatography for simultaneously determining curcumol contentin and β-elemene in Zedoary Turmeric Oil.METHODS:Separation and quantification were achieved on a quartz capillary column(30 m×0.32 mm)of PEG with a column temperature gradient from 80℃(holding for 7 min)to 140℃ at a rate of 20℃/min,holding for 15 min, taking N2 as loader. The temperature for gasification was 210℃;the temperature for detection was 200℃;the compressive stress of column was 0.27 MPa.RESULTS:Under the optimal chromatographic conditions, the linear range of curcumol contentin was within 0.230 5-3.23 mg/mL and the linear range of the β-elemene was within 0.237 5-3.33 mg/mL.The average recovery of curcumol contentin was 100.4% with a relative standard deviation(RSD)of 1.1% and β-elemene was 100.2% with a RSD of 2.2%.CONCLUSION:The results show that it is a simple, rapid, accurate and sensitive method which is suitable for analysis of complex component(curcumol contentin and β-elemene)in Zedoary Turmeric Oil at the same time.

Objective:To analyze the dental and mandibular asymmetry of adults with Class Ⅱ subdivision malocclusion. Methods:The jaw bones of 30 adults with Class Ⅱ subdivision malocclusion(case group)and 30 with normal-occlusion(control group)were scanned by CBCT.Linear and angular comparison was conducted between the two groups. Results:Dental midline deviation was ob-served in case group, mostly in mandibular arch (60%).The development of Class Ⅱ molar relationship correlated mainly to distally positioned mandibular molar on Class Ⅱ side. Conclusion:In the adults with Class Ⅱ subdvision malocclusion odontogenic asymme-try is the major factor, bony asymmetry is the miner.

Objective To investigate the preliminary value of mitral annular displacement (MAD) with two-dimensional speckle tracking in evaluating left ventricular systolic function. Methods Forty-nine patients with dilated cardiomyopathy, aged 51±14 years (DCM group), and 43 age-matched (46±14 years) normal subjects (control group) were enrolled in this study. Two-dimensional and real-time three-dimensional (RT3D) imaging were obtained all at the apical four-chamber view. The parameters of MAD and RT3D-LVEF were obtained using off-line QLAB software. Results Compared with control group, MAD reduced significantly in DCM group (P<0.01). The parameters of MAD correlated positively with LVEF (P<0.01). The intra- and inter-observer variabilities for measurement of MAD were low. When one point was placed at the chest wall, the ratio of long axis shortening correlated best with LVEF among all the data of MAD. Conclusion Based on two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging, MAD is a rapid and reproducible method of determining LV global systolic function, may even replace LVEF in the future.

Objectiye To optimize the depth of the microchannel and the time point for sperm collection, and improve the efficiency of sperm screening on a microfluidic device. Methods Microchannels with four different depths of 25, 50, 100 and 200 μm were tested. Mice sperm were added to the inlet of the microchannel. The relative quantity and motility of sperm in the outlet were recorded at different collection times, i.e. ,5, 15, 30 and 60 min. Statistical method one-way ANOVA and appropriate post-hoc testing were applied to analyze differences between different groups, and further to select the best-fit depth of the microchannel and the time point for collection. Results In microchannels with depths of 25, 50, 100 and 200 μm, the sperm motilities measured in each outlet were (85.4 ± 2.3)%, (85.8 ± 5.8)%,( 87. 2 ± 2. 8 ) %, (76. 5 ± 2. 8 ) % respectively with statistical significance ( F = 5.8, P < 0. 05 ). No obvious differences were found among 25-100 μm channels, however the motility dramatically decreased in the 200 μm group. The relative sperm quantities were (5.2 ±2.0)%, (7.2 ±2.5)%,(12.3 ±2.0)%,(7. 7 ± 1.1 ) % respectively with statistical significance ( F = 6. 9, P < 0. 05), which increased with channel depth from 25 to 100 μm,while it decreased in the 200 μm channel Taking 2 indexes into account, 100 μmwas the most fit channel depth for sperm motility screening. The sperm motility in the outlet gradually decreased with time. At the time points of 5, 15, 30 and 60 min after adding sperm, the sperm motilities were (99. 6 ±0. 7)%, (87.2 ±2. 8)%, (79. 3 ±2. 2)% and (62. 6 ±8.0)% respectively with statistical significance ( F = 37. 3, P < 0. 01 ). Yet the relative quantities of sperm in the outlet increased almost three times in this process. At the time points mentioned above, the relative quantities of sperm were (5.8±1.1)%, (10.6 ± 0.9)%, (12.1 ± 1.7)%, (17.9 ± 3.4)% respectively with statistical significance ( F = 17.8, P < 0. 01 ). Thus 15-30 min was the ideal screening time. Conclusion An effective microdevice for sperm screening with optimized depth and collection time period is developed, which may contribute significantly for the screening of healthy sperm on microfluidic chips.

The study compared the traditional medical microbiology experimental teaching with a new experimental teaching pattern, with the students majoring in anaesthesia as the research object. The new pattern mainly deals with the cultivation of the students' creativity by reforming and exploring the plan, the content, the method of experimental teaching and the ways of checking the students' work, adding general and designing experiment, and working out the PPT of the experiments. The result shows the new experimental teaching pattern contributes to the cultivation of the students'abilities of performing experiment, the ways of thinking, creativity and comprehensive analysis. It's better than the traditional experimental teaching pattern.A new medical microbiology experimental teaching systerm which is suit to the students majoring in anaesthesia has been established.

For thousands of years, the natural resource for Chinese materiamedica has been the foundation of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, which provides abundant medicine for human. In recent years, increasing demands and irrational exploitation led to a lot of problems such as rapid decrease of traditional Chinese herbs reserves, low quality of medicine and dismishing traditional cultures. These restricted the development of the traditional Chinese medicine. To solve these problems, scientists have done much work on investigating traditional Chinese medicine resources, exploring the metabolic pathway of bioactive ingredients, cultivating new varieties, and carrying out synthetic biology. These studies provided a theoretical basis for sustainable utilizationand future developmentof traditional Chinese medicine resources.
