2.Effects of Monosodium Glutamate on Survival and Reproductive Ability of Drosophila melanogaster
Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(04):-
Objective To study the effects of monosodium glutamate on viability and fertility of filial generation Drosophila. Methods Different concentrations(15,30,45 g/L)of L,H,T monosodium glutamate(MSG)were added in the medium for wildtype Drosophila melanogaster, and the non-MSG medium was taken as the control group,3 pairs of Drosophilas in each bottle and 3 repeats in each group, the first and second filial generation adult Drosophila's eclosion time(growth period) and the number of offspring within 7 days(reproduction quantity),and the death count in 30 days of 20 Drosophilas were observed and recorded. Results Compared with the control group, the reproduction quantity of Drosophila significantly increased, the growth period shortened in the first filial generation in 15 g/L of T MSG group. As the MSG concentrations increased, the reproduction quantity reduced significantly, the survival rate of Drosophila in 30 days declined significantly. The reproduction quantity in second filial generation increased at the initial stage of exposure and then decreased as the MSG concentrations increased. Conclusion The results of the present paper indicates that low-dose of MSG may be the advantage for survival and reproduction of Drosophila, but high doses will produce adverse effects.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2011;10(8):552-554
Objective To explore cardiovascular risk factors in patients of hypertension (HTN) complicated with non-alcoholic fatty liver but normal aminotransferase. Methods Forty-four cases (control group) of uncomplicated hypertension and 56 cases (study group) of hypertension complicated with nonalcoholic fatty liver but normal aminotransferase were screened from those who visited physical examination center of the hospital for regular checks-up during October 2009 to June 2010. Blood pressure ( BP), body mass index ( BMI), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), total serum cholesterol (TC) , triglyceride (TG), highdensity lipoprotein-cholesterol ( HDL-C ), low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol ( LDL-C ), gammaglutamyltransferase ( GGT ), uric acid ( UA ) , highly-sensitive C-reactive protein ( hs-CRP) and homocysteine (Hey) of the two groups were compared. Results Comparing with the control group, the study group had higher diastolic blood pressure ( DBP) (t = 1898. 5, P < 0. 05) , BMI (t = - 5. 036, P < 0.01), FPG (t= -2.026, P<0.05), TG (t = 1923. 5, P<0.05), GGT (t = 1789, P <0.01), UA 0 = 1715, P<0.01), hs-CRP (t = 1832.5, P < 0.01) and lower level of HDL-C (t =2357.0, P< 0. 01). Serum activity of GGT correlated positively with BMI (rs = 0. 349, P = 0. 000), TG ( rs = 0.413,P =0.000), UA (rs =0.446, P= 0.000) and hs-CRP (rs =0.350, P = 0.000), respectively. Conclusions When patients of hypertension complicated with non-alcoholic fatty liver but normal aminotransferase, their cardiovascular risk factors clustered further, with serum activity of GGT obviously increased which correlated positively with various risk factors, indicating increase in cardiovascular risks.

9. Establishing the pediatric clinical medicine comprehensive evaluation system: Exploration of the method and path
Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2016;43(4):585-590
Due to the weak foundation of clinical trials, the pre-market data of pediatric medicine is insufficient. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation system of pediatric clinical medicine is urgently needed to safeguard the children’s medication safety. This article provides the method and builds path to establish the comprehensive evaluation system from the aspects of biulding organizational structure, operational process and evaluation methodology, respectively. Further, based on the concept of "Evidence-based or otherwise evidence-created", and following the example of "Mini-Sentinel" of the United States, the big data in medicine can be used to overcome the "Evidence-created" difficulty in the evaluation of pediatric medication. Thus more extensive comprehensive evaluation can be made through collecting the clinical data generated from the real world for the pediatric medication. In the future, the comprehensive evaluation system of pediatric clinical medicine established on the basis of big data can be linked to the "Precision Medicine" Project in our country, the evaluation bases can be the "Mini-Sentinel" to collect big medical data and biological samples, thus to bring a steady flow of power for promoting the pediatric medicine active surveillance and pediatric precision medicine, and finally to safeguard the children’s health in our country.
10.Minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia: An update.
National Journal of Andrology 2016;22(5):387-392
Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) resulting from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) obviously impair the quality of life of middle-aged and elderly men. Current management of BPH includes wait-and-watch, medical therapy, and conventional surgery. As a new approach, minimally invasive surgery has been playing an increasingly important role in the management of BPH, with potential advantages of less operative trauma, quicker recovery, lower risk of postoperative complications and higher quality of life. This review mainly discusses prostatic urethral lift (Urolift® System), transurethral water vapor therapy (Rezūm® System) and robot-guided high-energy water ablation (PROCEPT Aquablation™ System).
