Five hundred elderly patients with ischemic stroke admitted from January 2008 to December 2010 were enrolled in the study, including 352 recurrent cases and 148 primary cases. There was a positive correlation of stroke recurrence with age, blood pressure, blood glucose and lipid levels, smoking and alcohol consumption of patients(P <0.05 ); while the stroke recurrence was negatively correlated with physical exercise(P < 0.05).Stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that the blood pressure, blood glucose and lipid levels were risk factors for the recurrence of ischemic stroke in elderly patients.

In China, fall ranks the top 3 among adverse events in hospital and it is the first cause of death in the elderly aged 65 and above. Fall risk factors and characteristics, nursing assessment and nursing care interventions are reviewed in this paper to explore risk factors and further improve the nursing care interventions for falls in hospitalized elderly patients.

Objective To explore the expressions of autophagy-related gene Beclin-1 and LC3 in adriamycin induced eardiomyopathy rats,to prnve that autophagy might take part in the development of adriamycin induced eardiomyopathy in rats,so as to provide experimental and theoretical evidence for preventing and treating adriamycin induced cardiomyopathy. Methods Forty-five male SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, control groups,ADR group and ADR+3-MA group. The model of adriamycin induced cardiomyopathy rats was established. The tissue sample taken from the left ventricle wall was checked for the morphons of autophagosome by electron microscope. The expressions of Beelin-1 and LC3 of myocardium were detected. Results The morphons of autophagosome in ADR group was significantly increased compared with that in control and ADR +3-MA groups. The expression of Beclin-1 in myocardium of ADR group was significantly inereased compared with that in control and ADR +3-MA groups (P < 0.05).The level of LC3 in myocardium of ADR group was significantly increased compared with that in control and ADR+3-MA groups (P < 0.05).Conclusions Autophagy plays an important role in adriamycin induced cardiomyopathy.

One hundred and twenty stroke patients were randomly divided into rehabilitation group (n =60) and control group (n =60).Patients were assessed with National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) ,Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA),Bathel Index (BI) and World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument Brief Version(WHOQOL-BREF) before and 6 weeks after treatment by the same doctor. The scores of NIHSS,FMA,BI and WHOQOL-BREF were improved significantly in rehabilitation group after treatment; while those of control group were no improved. The scores after treatment of rehabilitation group were significantly higher than those of control group ( P < 0.05 ).

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2010;19(9):793-796
Objective To evaluate and demonstrate ultrasonographic characteristics of mandibular ameloblastoma with active proliferation. Methods Nineteen subjects with ameloblastomas in the mandibles were examined with ultrasonography. In addition to sizes, internal echoes, the research was focused on blood flow of the tumors and destruction of mandibles. Ultrasonographic appearances of the tumors were compared with histopathological findings. Sensitivity and specificity of Doppler flow signals and destruction of mandibles for prediction of active tumor proliferations were calculated. Results Fifteen cases (79%)showed no or minimal flow signals on color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI), whereas the remaining 4 lesions demonstrated abundant flow signals,in which 3 cases were confirmed histopathologically with active tumor proliferations. The sensitivity and specificity of the Doppler flow signals for prediction of active tumor proliferations were 100% and 94%, respectively. Fourteen cases (74%) showed the mandibular cortices were thin but continuous, among the remaining 5 lesions showed local cortices destruction,3 of them were confirmed histopathologically with active proliferations. The sensitivity and specificity of the destruction of cortical bone for prediction of active tumor proliferations were 100% and 88 %, respectively. Conclusions Ultrasonography can be used as a new effective supplementary diagnostic method for mandibular ameloblastomas. CDFI of tumor vascularity and destruction of cortical bone could be used to predict active tumor proliferations and invasiveness.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the serum dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate ( DHEAS) level and bone mineral density ( BMD) in aged women. Methods Two hundred and seven elderly women aged 60-84 years were enrolled in the study. Acquisition histories, including age, body mass index, and blood pressure were recorded. Serum steroid hormones ( DHEAS, testosterone, estradiol, and cortisol) and bone metabolic markers:β-C-terminal telopeptide of type Ⅰ collagen (β-CTx ) , osteocalcin, and total procollagen type Ⅰ N propeptide ( TPINP) were determined. The BMD was also determined. The enrolled subjects were divided into 3 groups according to T values(T>-1. 0 s、-2. 5 s

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2016;48(1):183-186
SUMMARY Herewereportedapatientwithwarfarin-inducedautoimmunehepatitis(AIH),andex-plored new concerns for the pharmaceutical care of warfarin.A 57-year-old woman was admitted to hospi-tal for repeated anorexia, abdominal pain and abnormal liver function. She received prosthetic heart valve replacement because of rheumatic heart disease, and had started warfarin medication since 2 years before. Her liver function was elevated with highest alanine aminotransferase 861 U/L, aspertate aminotransferase 604 U/L,and total bilirubin 1 06.7 μmol/L.Her anticoagulant therapy was switched to low molecular weight heparin and the liver function returned to normal. The liver function was elevated when she started to take warfarin again. The patient was then on liver protection therapy, and warfarin was stopped again for the liver biopsy for diagnosis reason.Through medication consultation and evalua-tion,pharmacists were invited to work together with the physicians and helped to differentiate the reason for abnormal liver function, and provided therapeutic suggestions. Also the pharmacists gained experiences in the treatment of AIH,and discovered a new and severe adverse drug reaction for warfarin. In treating this case, the pharmacists’active involvement into the treatment and evaluation of the effect on the patient reflected the advantage and importance of the multidisciplinary cooperation for pharmacists and physicians when complex diseases are faced.

Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(9):44-47
Objective To discuss the clinical research status of traditional Chinese medicine treatment for mid-advanced non-small cell lung cancer based on literature analysis. Methods Clinical research articles about TCM treatment for mid-advanced non-small cell lung cancer were retrieved from PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, EBSCOhost, ScienceDirect, CBM, CNKI, VIP and Wanfang Data in March 6, 2014. RCTs and Q-RCTs were identified by retrieving. Metrology analysis was conducted from the aspects of publication time, article sources, publication organizations, cooperation and trial types, with a purpose to discuss the research status of this domain.ResultsTotally 432 articles were considered to be eligible for inclusion. The number of articles was on the rise. Academic journals were the most important sources of these articles. Publication organizations in Guangdong, Shanghai and Beijing produced the most articles. Cooperative researches increased, especially the cooperation between the same research units/universities. Research quality of RCT is increasing. Conclusion The quantity and quality of clinical researches on TCM treatment for mid-advanced non-small cell lung cancer have improved in different degrees. This domain shows great research prospect.
