1.Tongue flap combined with local mucosal flap for repairing palate fistulae

Objective To introduce a modified surgical technique for repairing palate fistulae.Methods Based on the clinical categories of palate fistulae,local mucosal flap was designed,if possible,to reduce the area of the fistulae and reshape the fistulae.Then the thin tongue flap with anterior pedicle was designed for repairing the palate fistulae,without much limitation of tongue movement and excessive tension of tongue flap pedicle short lingual frenulum correction was performed firstly to release the motion of tongue,if necessary.The donor site was closed directly.Three weeks later division of the tongue flap,as well as detailed appearance correction of tongue,was carried out at the same time.Results 12 cases were treated,and followed up for 6-12 months.For all the cases,the defect of fistulae was totally repaired,while aesthetics appearance of tongue was satisfactory,and no interference with speech with the use of tongue as donor site.Oral hygiene and mastication were unimpaired.No patient described disability of sensory or gustatory postoperatively.Conclusions Tongue flap has sufficient blood supply,while impairment of donor site is minimal.The planning and procedure of surgery are relatively simple.It is an ideal flap in treatment of palate fistulae.
3.Effects and mechanism of celecoxib on rat colitis induced by trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid

Objective An investigation was conducted to assess the effects and mechanism of celecoxib [a selective cyclooxygenase(COX) 2 inhibitor] on a rat colitis model induced by trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS). Methods The rats were divided into four groups. Group 1 and group 2 were experimental groups. Group 3 and group 4 were control groups. Colitis was induced by intracolonic administration of TNBS (25 mg/ml) in a vehicle of 50% ethanol (0.25 ml) in rats of experiment groups. Three hours before induction of colitis ,the rats were beginning and continuing to treat orally with celecoxib (1.25 mg/kg, group 1) and distilled water (1 ml/0.3 kg, group 2) twice per day for 7 days , respectively. The rats in group 4 were treated orally with celecoxib (1.25 mg/kg) twice per day for 7 days. Group 3 served as healthy control. All rats that survived until the end of the experiment (7 d) were killed and the severity of damage were assessed. The prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) concentrations of colonic mucosa were tested by radioimmunoassay. Results The colonic damage scores were 11.15?3.3 in group 1 and 8.50?2.82 in group 2. 5.Effect of labeling esophageal carcinoma with sliver clips by esophagoscopy in mapping the target for radiotherapy

Objective To study the effect of labeling esophageal carcinoma with sliver clips on two sides by esophagoscopy in mapping the target for conformal radiotherapy (CRT). Methods Eighty patients with esophageal carcinoma (28 patients in early stage, 52 patients in late stage), who were eligible for CRT, were collected and the tumor volume was detected by three methods: CT (A),CT combined with X-ray (B) and CT combined with sliver clip labeling by esophagoscopy (C). The differences of the tumor length and position in head-foot site (Y-axsis) among three methods were compared. Results The comparison of average length of tumor in early stage patients showed significant difference among three methods in all types of tumor (F= 4.07 ~ 7.43, P<0.05 ) except papillary type (F= 1. 71, P>0. 05). There was difference (ranged from 0. 5 cm to 2. 0 cm) in detection of position in head-foot site between A and B methods and C method. Significant difference was found in determining the displacement on head-foot site among three methods (F = 34. 36 ~193.50,P <0.01). The comparison of average length of tumor in middle or terminal stage patients showed significant difference among three methods in all types of tumor (F=4. 07~30.10 ,P<0.05) except mushroom type (F = 2.44, P> 0. 05). Significant difference was found in determining the displacement on head-foot site among three methods (F= 12.00 ~ 21.16, P < 0. 01 ). Conclusion These findings indicate that C method is more sensitive and correct in mapping the target for CRT in comparison with other two methods.
6.Spectroscopic studies on binding of beta-elemene to human serum albumin.

Beta-Elemene is an antitumor drug which is isolated from the traditional Chinese medicinal herb Curcumae Phaeocaulis Rhizoma, it is the main component of elemene which is extracted from the plant and delivered via blood circulation after intravenous injection. The antitumor effect of beta-elemene in vitro and in vivo was definite, and beta-elemene could improve the patient immunity and no sever side effect, drug resistance or bone marrow suppression were found during the clinical studies. And human serum albumin (HSA) is a primary extracellular protein which has a high concentration distribution in blood plasma and has many characteristic physiological functions. Therefore, the binding of beta-elemene to protein may be very important for absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination. Therefore, the study on the interaction of beta-elemene with drug-carrying protein is very important. In this work, molecular binding of beta-elemene to human serum albumin (HSA) was investigated by using spectrofluorometer. the binding constants suggested that a strong interaction and the formation of a complex between beta-elemene and HSA. This clearly implies that beta-elemene can be stored and removed by the proteins in the body. Furthermore, the fluorescence quenching results showed that the HSA fluorescence was quenched by beta-elemene through static quenching mechanism. Thermodynamic parameters showed that hydrophobic interactions play a role in the binding of beta-elemene to HSA. The negative deltaH(0) and positive deltaS(0) in case of beta-elemene therefore showed that electrostatic attraction play a role in the binding of beta-elemene to HSA.

To solve separating problem of natural soda, fifty-seven strains screened from soil, floul water and activated mud were of flocculating activity. Two strains of bacteria, which were screened from above mentioned strains have higher activity and better steady than the whole culture liquid of bacteria was observed that its flocculating use to natural soda was strong and the mean flocculating rate of two strains were 79.80% and 87.% respectively.
8.The detection of c-myc,Bcl-2 protein and DNA ploidy in invasive breast carcinoma and its significance

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of c-myc、Bcl-2 protein expression, DNA ploidy and their relationship in breast cancer. MethodsWT5”BZ The expression of c-myc、Bcl-2 protein in 146 breast tumor tissues was examined by using immunohistochemical methods(S-P)and DNA ploidy in 72 cases of breast carcinoma by flow cytometry. ResultsKG1 Nuclear expression of c-myc protein was detected in 9 6% of tumors, and it was related to the DNA aneuploidy and prognosis. Cytoplasmic expression of c-myc protein was present in 91 8% of the carcinomas. Moderate to strong c-myc protein expression in cytoplasmic was associated with the positive status of ER. Bcl-2 protein was positive in 78 8% of cancers. Overexpression of Bcl-2 protein was associated with ER(+) status and the lack of axillary lymph node metastasis. DNA aneuploidy was found in 51 4% of 72 cancers, it was related to nuclear expression of c-myc protein and prognosis.WT5”HZConclusion Nuclear expression of c-myc protein and DNA ploidy are important prognostic factors.
