Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2010;19(10):1027-1030
Objective To observe the myocardial injury attributed to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and to evaluate the impact of 4 ℃ saline perfusion on the ultra structure of myocardium. Method Twelve Pekimg white swine were induced to make models of ventricular fibrillation by direct current shock. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated 4 minutes after ventricular fibrillation established, and 10 swine survived from resuscitation. These swine were randomly(random number ) divided into hypothermia group ( n = 5) ( 4 ℃ saline infusion to lower the temperature) and control group ( n = 5). Haemodynamics were monitored. And ultra structure of myocardium was observed under electron microscope 24 hours later. The Mann-Whitney test was used to compare the consecutive variables of 2 samples. Results The damage to the ultra structure of myocardium, myofilaments and mitochondria, was found in the control group, while that to a much lesser extent in the hypothermia group was observed. Conclusions After cardiopulmonary resuscitation, 4 ℃ saline infusion has a protective effect on myocardium.
2.THE ANALYSIS ON SEDIMENTATION COEFFICIENT OF ALFALFA MOSAIC VIRUS
Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
The physical and chemical properties of alfalfa mosaic virus from white clover have been studied by analytical ultra-centrifuge. The results showed that this virus sample contains five different components which possess the S_(20) values of 98s, 82s, 72s, 65s, and 36s respectively. While measured the S values we have used schlieren light system by using UV system as control. The twice changed speed method also has been used to measure the S values at different concentration of samples under different ion strength.

The hybrid PET/MR has a unique advantage of simultaneous scanning of both PET and MRI images, which has been gradually applied in clinical practice. In the clinical studies of severe brain diseases (such as cerebrovascular disease, brain tumor and epilepsy),accurate quantification of cerebral blood flow (CBF) can help to understand the etiology, pathogenesis, and to make early diagnosis as well as therapeutic solutions. The hybrid PET/MR can implement a noninvasive, convenient and accurate method of arterial input function for quantification of CBF.The application of the hybrid PET/MR in quantification of cerebral blood flow were reviewed in this article.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2017;49(4):675-679
Objective: To determine whether 3-dimentional CT scans is able to effectively improve the detection rate of AO B3 distal radius fractures in clinics. Methods: From Jan 2013 to Jan 2014, 30 patients with distal radius fractures were retrospectively enrolled in this study, all the patients directly visited the skeletal trauma emergency department in Beijing Jishuitan Hospital post injury and all of them accepted open reduction and internal fixation of distal radius fractures at last. All the radiographic data including X ray films and 3-dimentional CT scans of these patients were collected. Two independent observers were required to make primary AO classifications for each fracture by X rays at first, then to make final AO classifications by 3-dimentional CT scans. Finally, the detection rates of CT scans and plain films for AO B3 distal radius fractures and B3.3 distal radius fractures were compared, the agreements of the two methods for diagnosing AO B3 and B3.3 fractures were calculated by Cohen''s Kappa calculations. Results: All the 30 fractures were confirmed to be AO B3 distal radius fractures intraoperatively, and 10 of them were B3.3 fractures. The results were completely consistent with the results of 3-dimensional CT scans. However, only 80%(24/30) AO B3 distal radius fractures and 60%(6/10) B3.3 distal radius fractures could be diagnosed only by X rays. The detection rate of CT scans was proved to be significantly higher than X rays for diagnosing B3 distal radius fractures(100% vs.80%,P<0.05), the detection rate of CT scans was also proved to be significantly higher than that of plain films for detecting B3.3 distal radius fractures(100% vs.60%,P<0.05).The agreement of 3-dimentional CT scans and X ray was poor for detecting both the AO B3 distal radius fracture and B3.3 distal radius fracture (kappa=0).Most importantly, in the study process, two special kinds of B3 distal radius fracture were initially found and described by us.One was named as radial B3 fracture, and the other was named as ulna B3 fracture. Conclusion: 3-dimentional CT scans can effectively improve the detection rate of B3 and B 3.3 distal radius fractures, and also help find two special kinds of B3 fractures.
6.Application of prostaglandin E1 improves graft viability in the immediate period after liver transplantation
Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 1996;0(03):-
Objective To study the cytoprotective effect of prostaglandin E1(PGE1)in the imme- diate period after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT).Methods Ten patients undergoing OLT were divided into 2 groups: group P (n=6) was administered with PGE1 and group C (n=4) served as control group. Serum ALT, AST, TBIL, DBIL, bile output and the period of intensive care unit (ICU) in both groups were observed in the first 3 weeks after OLT. Results Postoperative increases in serum ALT, AST, TBIL and DBIL levels were significantly suppressed by PGE1. In addition, PGE1 contributed distinctly to an increase of bile output (P

Objective To investigate the effects of acupuncture at points Baihui (GV20), Yintang (Ex-HN3) and Sishencong (Ex-HN1) on spatial learning and memory abilities and hippocampal expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in a rat model of post-stroke depression (PSD). Method Thirty male adult SD rats were allocated, using a random number table, tocontrol, acupuncture and sham operation groups, 10 rats each. A rat model of PSD was made by classical middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) using an intraluminal thread technique, chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) and solitary feeding. At the fourteenth day after the beginning of stress, the acupuncture group received acupuncture intervention for 14 consecutive days. At one week after the end of stress, the Morris water maze test was conducted to assess rat spatial learning and memory abilities. After the completion of the water maze test, hippocampal CA3 regional BDNF expression was determined by immunohistochemical method. Result Rat learning and memory abilities decreased significantly in the control group compared with the sham operation group (P<0.05). Space exploration time and the number of crossing platform reflecting memory abilities decreased significantly in the control group (22.36±6.20 s and 3.72±0.90 times, respectively) compared with the sham operation group (48.73±5.40 s and 8.60±1.10 times, respectively); there were statistically significant differences (P<0.01). Learning abilities, space exploration time, the number of crossing platform and BDNF expression increased significantly in PSD rats treated with acupuncture compared with the control group; there were statistically significant differences (P<0.01). Conclusion Acupuncture can improve spatial learning and memory abilities and raise hippocampal regional BDNF levels in rats with post-stroke depression.
