Objective To observe the effects of different H.pylori strains (cagA + and cagA -) infection on Fas/FasL expression and the pathogenesis of gastirc carcinoma. Methods Gastric biopsy specimens were taken from 80 patients, and these patients were divided into 9 groups according to the H E staining and H.pylori infection. H.pylori (+) groups were subdivided into cagA + and cagA - groups. RUT, PCR and histology were used to detect H.pylori and PCR for cagA detection. Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect Fas/FasL expression. Results The infection rate of H.pylori was 60.0%, and rate of cagA(+) is 90.47%. H.pylori (+) specimens express Fas/FasL more higher than H.poylori (-) ones ( P 0.05). Conclusions Our data suggest that H.pylori infection can induce the expression of Fas/FasL in gastric epithelial cells. Gastric adenocarcinoma express high amount of FasL, which may plays an important role in immune escape of stomach cancer.

Objective:To investigate the relationship between levels of plasma thrombopoietin(TPO) and thrombocytopenia.Methods:Sixty-eight thrombocytopenia with different causes were injected with rhIL-11 domestically made, by 25 ?g/(kg?d) for 10 days continuously. The plasma TPO levels were determined by quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique in thrombocytopenic patients between before and after treatment.Results:(1)The serum TPO controls of patients with thrombocytopenia after acute leukemia(AL) chemotherapy were lower than normal controls. The plasma TPO levels in aplastic anemia(AA) and myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS) patients were all elevated compared to those in normal controls. The serum TPO levels in patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP) and liver cirrhosis had no difference with the normals. Bone marrow megakaryocytes(MK) count in after chemotherapy AL and AA patients were lower than those with normal serum TPO levels controls. (2)In all above patients used interleukin-11(rhIL-11), their TPO levels were close to normal in efficiency patients. On the contrary, their TPO did not change dramatic. Those react to rhIL-11, their TPO levels were inversely correlated with platelet count. Conclusion:Testing serum TPO levels would be helpful for distinguish the thrombocytopenia with different causes, and provides theorical support to patients to use rhIL-11 reasonably.

Objective:To investigate the correlations of urinary adverse reactions with dose to the bladder and urethra during external pelvic irradiation for locally advanced cervical cancer. Methods:This study retrospectively collected relevant dosimetric parameters and urinary symptoms, such as frequent, urgent, and painful urination, from locally advanced cervical cancer patients treated with external pelvic irradiation in the Department of Oncology, Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University. The dosimetric parameters examined in this study included the maximum, minimum, and mean doses to bladder and urethra (i.e., Dmax, Dmin and Dmean), mean doses received in an area of 0.1, 1, and 2 cm 3 around the planning target volume, D0.1 cm 3, D1 cm 3, D2 cm 3, and percentages of irradiated volumes in the whole organ volume under doses of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 Gy, V5 Gy, V10 Gy, V15 Gy, V20 Gy, V25 Gy, V30 Gy, V35 Gy, V40 Gy, V45 Gy, V50 Gy. Then the correlations between urinary symptoms and these dosimetric parameters were analyzed using the independent-sample t-test and the Logistic regression model. Results:The median volumes of bladder and urethra were 294.8 and 4.71 cm 3, respectively. Patients were divided into two groups based on the median division. The univariate analysis showed that urethral Dmax, Dmin, Dmean, V5 Gy, V10 Gy, V15Gy, V20 Gy, V25 Gy, V30 Gy, V35 Gy, V40 Gy, V45 Gy and V50 Gy correlated with urinary complications ( t = 14.30, 21.65, 32.19, 33.36, 16.62, 17.91, 21.52, 20.11, 12.27, 37.25, 30.18, 36.24 and 21.98, P<0.05). The multivariate analysis further indicates that urethral D2 cm 3, V20 Gy, V40 Gy and Bladder V40 Gy, D1 cm 3, D2 cm 3 were independent predictors of grade 2 urinary adverse reactions ( P<0.05). Conclusions:This study reported the correlations of relevant dosimetric parameters of urethra with urinary toxicity during external pelvic irradiation. It holds that urethral D2 cm 3, V20 Gy and V40 Gy should be restricted to minimize the risks of grade 2 urinary complications.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2018;26(6):473-477
Atherosclerosis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease caused by the interaction of environment and genetic factors. Epigenetic modification is a bridge between environmental factors and genetic factors. DNA methylation is an important regulatory mode of epigenetic modification, which can regulate gene expression at the pre-transcriptional level. Studies have shown that DNA methylation plays an important role in the occurrence and development process of atherosclerosis. Therefore, atherosclerosis-related DNA demethylation, especially carotid atherosclerosis-related DNA demethylation, can be achieved by natural or synthetic DNA demethylases, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing or treating atherosclerotic cerebrovascular disease. This article reviews DNA methylation and its relationship with atherosclerosis and DNA demethylation therapy.
