Objective To research the clinical safety and feasibility of self-made devices in gasless laparoscopic surgery. Methods A total of 5 generations of gasless laparoscopic devices (8 models) were designed and manufactured by ourselves from April 1993 to September 2004. After animal experiments, 15 types of different gasless laparoscopic operations were carried out in 87 patients. Results Out of the 87 cases, conversions to open surgery were required in 7 cases (conversion rate, 8.0%). The other 80 cases of gasless laparoscopic operations were successfully performed, involving cholecystectomy, colorectal resection, partial cecectomy, subtotal gastrectomy, inguinal herniorrhaphy, abdominal wall contraction, radical resection for carcinoma of renal pelvis, haital herniorrhaphy with Toupet’s fundoplication and total hysterectomy. Conclusions Our self-made gasless laparoscopic devices may be applied safely and effectively in clinical cases. Gasless laparoscopic surgery has been reflecting the complementary advantages of modern laparoscopic surgery and traditional open surgery. It is of supplementary significance in patients contraindicated to pneumoperitoneum and of distinctive importance for laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery requiring abdominal fistulization or prolonged incision, as well as hand-assisted hepatobiliary or pancreatic laparoscopic surgery.

SHG was sulfated by chlorosulfonic acid-pyridine method, and six samples which we got were prepared in different reaction conditions. There is a characteristic absorption peak near 260 nm in UV spectra and there are two characteristic absorption peaks near 1240 cm(-1) and 810 cm(-1) in the FT-IR. Degree of sulfation (DS) was calculated by elemental analysis and turbidimetry. Under the same conditions the absorption peaks become strong with the DS increase. The anticoagulant activity of SHG and sulfated modification samples was evaluated by the classic coagulant assays of prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thrombin time (APTT) live enzymes, and plasma thrombin time (TT). Results show that sulfated SHG has a good anticoagulant activity in vitro, and DS increased activity within a certain range.

There are two phenotypes of microglia, M1 and M2. Microglia in M2 polarization may associate with the phagorytosis of be-ta-amyloid and inhibition of Tau hyperphosphorylation, as well as in other pathology. Electroacupuncture can impact the phenotypes of mi-croglia, which may play a role in the treatment for Alzheimer's disease.

Aim To investigate the effect of phenyle-thanol glycosides from Cistanche tubulosa(CPhGs) on the proliferation and activation of rrPDGF-BB induced HSC and their target points for resisting hepatic fibro-sis,to elucidate the molecular mechanism in molecular level, and provide basic data for the further develop-ment of new drugs. Methods HSCs were cultivated by CPhGs with different concentrations ( 0 , 3. 91 , 7. 81 , 15. 63 , 31. 25 , 62. 50 , 125. 00 , 250. 00 , and 500 mg ·L-1 ) and IC50 of CPhGs was determined. CPhGs with different concentrations ( 25 , 50 , 75 , 100 mg · L-1 ) were selected, and after the cells were stimulated with rrPDGF-BB, cell proliferation was determined by MTT. ERK1/2 ,α-SMA, c-fos, c-jun and Collagen I mRNA and Erk1/2 ,P-Erk1/2 and CollagenⅠprotein ex-pressions were assayed by RT-PCR and Western blot. Results CPhGs of ( 50 ~100 ) mg · L-1 concentra-tions groups could effectively inhibit rrPDGF-BB-medi-ated proliferation(P<0. 05) and CPhGs of(25~100) mg·L-1 concentrations groups had no significant cyto-toxicity( P >0. 05 ) . CPhGs of ( 25 ~100 ) mg · L-1 concentrations groups could inhibit ERK1/2 ,α-SMA,c-fos, c-jun and CollagenⅠmRNA levels, and also ob-viously inhibited Erk1/2 ,P-Erk1/2 and Collagen Ⅰ pro-tein expression on HSC. Conclusions CPhGs has the protective effect against hepatic fibrosis. The mecha-nism of this process may involve the interference with PDGF/ERK1/2 signaling pathway and inhibiting the activation and proliferation of HSC.

Objective To explore the relationship between uric acid (UA) level and cognitive function in elderly patients with Parkinson,s disease (PD) and analyze the cognition related factors. Methods The clinical data of 60 elderly PD cases in our hospital from 2001 to 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. The 60 healthy people receiving medical examination in our hospital and matched by gender and age, were as control group. The information including gender, age, illness duration, Hoehn & Yahr stage (H-Y stage), serum UA level and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) scale were recorded. Results The serum UA level was significantly lower in PD group than in control group [(262±53) μmol/L vs. (332±45) μmol/L, t=-6.724, P<0.001]. In PD group, the serum UA level was slightly higher in males than in females [(271 ±48) μmol/L vs.(254±39) μmol/L, t=3. 282, P=0. 058]. The serum UA level was significantly lower in male PD patients than in male controls [(353± 62) μmol/L, t=- 5. 625, P<0. 001], and was lower in female PD patients than in female controls [( 294 ± 59) μmol/L, t = - 4. 721, P = 0. 012]. There were no significant differences in serum UA level among different H-Y stage subgroups (P>0. 05), but the serum UA level was lower in different H-Y stage subgroups than in control group (F=22. 039, P<0. 01 ). There was no correlation between the UA level and the illness duration (r=0. 961, P>0.05).The MMSE score had significant difference between elderly PD group and control group (t= -3. 168,P<0. 001). In PD patients, the MMSE score was positively correlated with serum UA level (r=0. 789, P= 0. 000), and was negatively correlated with H-Y stage (r= - 0. 577, P = 0. 019 ), age (r= -0. 333, P=0. 034), but was not correlated with illness duration (r= -0. 333, P=0. 207) and BMI (t=- 0. 410, P= 0. 115). Conclusions The level of serum UA is lower in elderly patients with PD than in normal controls. There is correlation between the serum UA level and cognitive impairment. Lower serum UA level predicts worse cognitive scores.

The Hospital Statistics Management System is built on an Office Automation Platform of Shandong provincial hospital system. Its workflow, role and popedom technologies are used to standardize and optimize the management program of statistics in the total quality control of hospital statistics. The system's applications have combined the office automation platform with the statistics management in a hospital and this provides a practical example of a modern hospital statistics management model.
