Chinese Journal of Forensic Medicine 1986;0(02):-
This Paper reports the histochemical changes occcured at the early acute cardial ischemic area in-duced experimentally by ligation of left coronary artery of 50 male Wistar rats. The following histo-chemical changes at the ischemical areas were observed: obvious decrease of glycogen of cardical is-chemical for 1h, of both NADHD and LDH activity of ischemical for 2h as well as CCo,CK and ATP activity of ischemical for 4h. The decrease of CCo,CK and ATP activity propagated to the whole is-chemical area at the time of ischemical for 8h. The activity of NADHD,LDH'CK and ATP can toler-ated the postmortem autolysis influence up to 24h after death.
2.Effects of 50 Hz low voltage electric stimulation on angiogenesis and the expression of VEGF in the ischemic myocardium
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2008;30(6):378-380
Objective To study the effects of 50 Hz low voltage electric stimulation on angiogenesis and the expression of VEGF in the ischemic myoeardium in rats. Methods Twelve Wistar rats with experimentally induced myocardial ischemia were randomly divided into an electric stimulation (ES) group and a control group. The animals in the electric stimulation group were electrically stimulated at 50 Hz and 0.3 V through electrodes implanted in the epicardium of the anterior wall of the left artrium. Those in the control group were delivered sham electrical stimula- tion through similar implanted electrodes. Immunohistochemistry was used to count endothelial cells (ECs) and measure the capillary density (CD). A reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was employed to measure the expression of VEGF protein and VEGF mRNA. Results The number of ECs, and the CDs in the ES group were significantly greater than in the control group, and the expression of VEGF protein and VEGF mRNA was also significantly higher. Conclusions Low voltage electrical stimulation at 50 Hz can promote angiogenesis and the expression of VEGF in the ischemic myocardium in rats.

6.The changes of parathyroid hormone and serum calcium after total thyroidectomy.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(11):984-987
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the changes of parathyroid hormone (PTH) and serum calcium alter total thyroidectomy and summarize the methods to prevent and treat the hypoparathyroidism and hypocalcernia.
METHOD:
Seventy-three patients with total thyroidectomy in our hospital were divided into three groups according to the scope of the operation. The serum concentrations of PTH and calcium were measured and compared before surgery and after surgery 1 h, 1 d, 3 d and 5 d.
RESULT:
In three groups, the serum concentrations of PTH and calcium were significantly decreased (P<0. 05) after surgery and low serum PTH and hypocalcemia occured. The severity of low serum PTH and hypocalcemia was as follows: total thyroidectomy with bilateral compartment lymph node dissection (CLND)>total thyroidectomy with unilateral CLND>total thyroidectomy. The differences were statistically significant. The levels of PTH after surgery 1 hour and 1 day were effective to predict hypocalcemia.
CONCLUSION
Total thyroidectomy can affect the parathyroid function. The greater the scope of surgery, the higher the possibility of postoperative hypoparathyroidism. The reasonable operative procedures and more protection of parathyroid during operation can reduce the incidence of hypoparathyroidism. The level of postoperative PTH can be used as a predictive index of hypocalcemia.

7.Evolution of Facial Measurement Technology and Its Prospects with the Development of Artificial Intelligence
Medical Journal of Peking Union Medical College Hospital 2024;15(6):1242-1252
Facial anthropometry has profound importance in clinical diagnosis and the recognition of abnormal facial features. With the development of anthropometry, facial anthropometry has emerged as an independent research field and is widely applied in disciplines such as plastic surgery and cranio-maxillofacial surgery. This paper reviews the evolution of facial anthropometry and discusses its future trends in the context of artificial intelligence (AI). Currently, 3D facial imaging technology can accurately capture and reconstruct the three-dimensional morphology of facial soft tissues, and enhance the precision and objectivity of measurements, thus becoming the new "gold standard" for facial anthropometry. It not only provides reference for disease diagnosis and surgical planning but also plays a crucial role in evaluating cosmetic outcomes and aging research. In recent years, AI technology has developed rapidly, enabling direct recognition of abnormal facial features. Although facial recognition systems based on two-dimensional images are relatively mature, they have to struggle to fully capture facial features as they are limited by the dimensionality of information. While three-dimensional image-based recognition boasts high accuracy, it faces challenges in the recognition and classification of abnormal facial features due to limitations in the number of training samples. The integration of AI and facial anthropometry has effectively promoted automatic recognition technology for facial landmarks, thus providing more precise and interpretable methods for assessing disease-related facial features. Future research should focus on building reliable three-dimensional facial databases to further improve the accuracy of facial recognition. Additionally, developing facial recognition systems based on small sample sizes is necessary to provide robust support for the recognition of facial features associated with rare and special diseases.
