Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of methotrexate(MTX)on the hip involve ment in patients with ankylosing spondylitis(AS).Methods Among the AS patients with hip joint involvement admitted to the department from 1999—2002,50 patients were treated with sulfasalazine(SSZ)(control group, CG)and 48 MTX(observation group,OG).One kind of NSAIDs was taken by the patients in both groups as the basic therapy. The treatment was maintained in both groups after being discharged.Patients were followed-up for three years. The observation parameters included symptoms, signs,Bath AS disease activity index(BASDAI), Bath AS functional index(BASFI),hip joint function score, the CT staging of hip joint involvement, serum in- flammation markers, laboratory tests and side effects. The data were analyzed with SPSS10.0 statistics software. Results At the 1st,2nd and 3rd year,44,38 and 32 cases in the OG and 45,38 and 31 cases in the CG were followed up respectively.During the three-year follow-up period, the hip joint function score of the OG was significantly higher than that of the CG(P

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1986;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the phenotypes and expression of activated T-cell membrane molecules on lymphocytes in the peripheral blood(PB) of children with aplastic anemia (AA) and find out its clinical significance. Methods The lymphocytes from PB of the 115 AA patients were analyzed by flow cytometry and compared with normal group. Results The expression of CD8+ increased and the expression of CD4+ decreased. The ratio of CD4/CD8 cells decreased ,and was more significant in the patients with serious AA(SAA). The expression of HLA-DR and ??T-cell also increased, and was more significant in SAA patients. The expression of CD3+ was not significantly changed. Conclusions There is significant immune abnormal in AA patients and more important in SAA patients. The immunosuppressant is useful in clinical treatment.

BACKGROUND: Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) transplantation has been gradually developed to improve the prognosis of cerebral infarction and its sequelae in clinical trials, which has been identified as effective and safe. A small sample size, however, results in the lack of evidence-based medical evidence.OBJECTIVE: To systematically review the efficacy of MSC transplantation on the prognosis of cerebral infarction. METHODS: In order to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of MSC transplantation for the prognosis of cerebral infarction, we searched Cochrane Library, PubMed, Ovid, CBM, CNKI, WanFang, and VIP Data from its inception to November 2016. Articles addressing MSCs transplantation alone or with conventional drug treatment and/or rehabilitation training versus conventional drug treatment alone or with rehabilitation training were included. Two authors independently screened the literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias. Thereafter, qualitative description and Meta-analysis were performed. RESLUTS AND CONCLUSION: Ten RCTs involving 626 cerebral infarction patients were included in the Meta-analysis. The results showed that the MSCs group was superior to the control group with statistical significance in the daily life ability(Barthel index)[MD=20.06, 95%CI(9.95,30.18),P=0.000 1],motor function(Fugl-Meyer scale)[MD=14.60,95% CI(12.96,16.25),P<0.000 01],personal disability (functional independent measure)[MD=15.16,95%CI(9.06,21.26),P<0.000 01]and neurological deficit score(National Institute of Health stroke scale)[MD=-2.59,95% CI(-3.14,-2.05),P<0.000 01].Low fever and mild headache were reported by four included studies, and waist pain was only by one study, but these symptoms went away by themselves or after symptomatic treatment. Subgroup analysis suggested that MSCs from the bone marrow were superior to those from the umbilical cord and cord blood, but showed a greater heterogeneity. It is suggested that the MSC transplantation ameliorate the prognosis in patients with cerebral infarction, significantly improve the activities of daily living, motor function, personal disability and neurological function, with no presence of serious adverse effects. However, high-quality studies with large sample size are required for further investigation on the clinical application of MSC transplantation.

Objective To study the clinica features, diagnosis and surgical treatment of simple and complex macromastia. Methods The clinical and pathological data of 21 patients with macromastia in our hospital from 1990 to 2000 were analysed retrospectively. Simple macromastia in 16 patients with 29 breasts, complex macromastia in 5 patients with 8 breasts. Results The average age of patients was 23 years old. All the 21 patients were treated surgically. Among the 5 patients with complex macromastia, subcutaneous mastectomy and reconstruction were performed on 2 patients with breast fibroadenomatosis; of the 2 patients with giant fibroadenoma, one underwent tumor excision, the others were subjected to tumor excision with reduction mammaplasty; the last one with breast fibrous disease, selective partial breast excision and reduction mammaplasty was performed. All the patients had satisfactory mammary appearance and hadn't recurrrence of the breast disease in follow up period. Conclusions (1) Macromastia often happens in the adolescent and young women. (2) It is necessary to do biopsy during operation for distinguishing the simple from the complex macromastia. (3) The treatment for simple macromatia is reduction mammaplasty; for complex macromatia is dissection of the disease area completely and redution mammaplasty simultaneously. For macromastia with fibroadenomatosis, subcutaneous mastectomy with reconstruction can prevent tumor recurrence and get better mammary appearance.

OBJECTIVETo optimize the extraction process of root of Polygoni multflori and validate the interrelation between antioxdative capacity and the content of 2,3,4,5-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-beta-D-glucoside in root of P. multiflori.
METHODThe optimum extraction was abserved with the orthogonal design; 2,3,4,5-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-beta-D-glucoside was determined by HPLC and the antioxidative capacity by using photochemiluminescence detection method with the Photochem supplied by Analytik Jena AG; the concentration of ethanol, amount of ethanol, extraction time and extraction times were the four factors in the extraction.
RESULTThe concentration of ethanol and extraction times had significant effect on the content of 2,3,4,5-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-beta-D-glucoside and the antioxidative capacity of the crude extract.
CONCLUSIONThe best extraction process is to extract three times by using 10 fold EtOH(60%), refluxing at 85 degrees C and to extract one and half hours each time.
