Objective To study the effects of respective early enteral (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN) surpport on intestinal permeability and systemic inflammatory response in patients with abdominal trauma.Methods Thirty abdomen trauma patients were divided into 2 groups:1. EN group (n=15),2. PN group(n=15).The L/M (lactulose over mannitol) permeability was determined on the day of operation and 3,5,7 days post-op. ?AIM: To investigate the corneal high order aberrations in adults with myopia and to study its correlations with myopic degree and keratometry.?METHODS: A total of 63 patients ( 126 eyes ) from the ophthalmology department of our hospital were included in this study during May 2014 to June 2015. Visual acuity, intraocular pressure ( IOP ) , diopter, slit lamp examination, central corneal thickness ( CCT ) , funduscopic examination, corneal topography and corneal total higher order aberrations ( THOAs ) were recorded. Right eye was selected. According to the spherical equivalence ( SE) , 63 eyes were divided into two groups, the mild to moderate myopia group (M-M group, SE<-6. 00D) and the high myopia group (H group, SE≥-6. 00D). The correlations of corneal THOAs with diopter, keratometry, IOP and CCT were analyzed. Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test was used for normality test. Independent-samples t test was used for comparison between two groups. Pearson correlation analysis was for comparison between two continuous variables.?RESULTS: Z44 was found a statistic difference between the M-M group and H group (t=2. 51,P=0. 02). IOP was negatively correlated with Z5-3(r= -0. 52,P=0. 01), and CCT was positively correlated with Z4-4(r=0. 43,P=0. 03) in H group. There was no correlation between higher order aberrations and SE in M-M group ( all P>0. 05 ) Total coma aberration ( TCA ) was negatively correlated with SE (r=-0. 57,P=0. 002) and spherical degree (Sph, r=-0. 55,P=0. 003) in H group. Z40 was positively correlated with average K (AK) (M-M group:r=0. 40,P=0. 02. H group:r=0. 55, P=0. 03), K steep (Ks) (M-M group:r=0.39, P=0.02. H group:r=0.51, P=0.01) and K flat (Kf) ( M-M group:r=0. 40, P=0. 02. H group:r=0. 57, P=0. 01) in both groups. Z53was negatively correlated with Ks(r=-0.4, P=0. 04) in H group.?CONCLUSION: The THOAs parameters are influenced by diopter and keratometry. TCA is negatively correlated with SE and Sph in patients with high myopia, and spherical aberration is positively correlated with keratometry.

Objective To evaluate the role of mierosurgery in surgical treatment to urethrocutaneous fistula after urethroplasty in hypospadias and improve surgical results.Methods From 1999 to 2006,44 urethrocutaneous fistulae (more than 3mm in diameter) after urethroplasty for hypospadias in 33 patients were repaired with different skin flaps.For example,Thiersch technique,urthroplasty,etc.Microsurgical tech- nique was employed in every case.Results The success rates of different procedure were 84.8% (28/33) for Thiersch technique,100% (11/11) for urethroplasty respectively.The total success rate was 88.6%(39/ 44).Conclusion It's just application of skin flap for repairing of big or complex urinary fistula after hypos- padias surgery.The application of microsurgical technique can increase success rate.It is necessary to excise scar and partial urethra for hypospadias fistula combined with urethral structures,cicatricial eontracture and in- curvation of penis.Rich blood-supply,low tension and atraumatic technique are all very important to improve surgery success rates of urinary,fistula after hypospadias repair.

Recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF, 20 ng/ml) and Genistein (740 μmol/ml) were added to the cells from 12 cases of human pituitary tumors and co-cultured in vitro. The 3H-thymidine uptake of tumor cells was measured by scintillation counter and tyrosine kinases activity was detected by using immunocytochemical method. The results showed that 3H-thymidine uptake and tyrosine kinases activity were increased in 10 out of 12 cases of human pituitary tumor by EGF and both declined by Genistein. It was suggested that EGF had a strong mitogenic effect on majority of pituitary tumors. Genistein could abolish the effects of EGF promoting the proliferation of the tumor cells, inhibit the growth of the tumor and might be useful in pituitary tumor treatment.

The adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (EGJA) is located in a unique anatomical position and at the junction of the squamous epithelium and the columnar epithelium. The biological characteristics of this disease are different from those of esophageal or gastric cancer. The diagnostic classification of EGJA has been subject to controversies, and no gold standard therapeu-tic regimens have been established, especially in the choice of treatment of locally advanced EGJA. Results from large-scale clinical tri-als and imaging technology development showed that the treatment of EGJA has been individualized. Furthermore, this problem high-lights the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration. This article focuses on current progress in studies on EGJA.

Background High myopia is seriously harmful to visual function.To explore the mechanism of high myopia is significant for the prevention and treatment.Complement proteins C1q and C3 have emerged as critical mediators of synaptic refinement and plasticity,however,their effects in retina on myopia remain elusive.Objective This study was to investigate the expressions of complement factors C1q and C3 in the retina with negative lensdefocused myopia in guinea pigs.Methods The use and care of animals complied with the application of Peking Union Medical College Hospital Iaboratory Animal Welfare Ethics Committee.Twelve 3-day-old pigmented guinea pigs were assigned randomly to the lens-defocused group and the normal control group.The left eyes were covered by -10 D PMMA lens for 4 weeks as the defocused eye group,and the right eyes were covered using 0 D PMMA lens in the same way as the fellow control eye group.The right eyes of the normal guinea pigs were used as the normal control eye group.The refractive diopter of guinea pigs was examined by retinoscopy.The animals were sacrificed at the fourth week and the expressions of complement C1q and C3 in the retinas of guinea pigs were detected by Western blot.Results The diptors were (-1.21±0.71)D,(+2.46±0.75)D and (+1.75±0.50)Din the defocused eye group,normal eye group and the fellow eye group at the fourth week,showing a significant difference among the groups (F=51.55,P=0.69),and diopters were insignificantly different between the normal eye group and fellow eye group (q =2.62,P=0.08).However,the diopters of the defocused eye group were significantly higher than those of the fellow eye group (q =10.92,P＜0.01).The expressions of C1q and C3 proteins in the retinas were significantly different among the defocused eye group,fellow eye group and normal eye group (C1 q:F=8.810,P =0.003;C3:F =14.490,P＜0.001),and expression levels of C1q and C3 proteins in the defocused eye group were significant higher than those of the fellow eye group (C1q:q=4.14,P=0.01 ;C3:q=4.71,P=0.005) ;while no significant differences were found between the fellow eye group and the normal eye group (C1q:q =1.61,P =0.27; C3:q =2.82,P =0.070).Conclusions The expression levels of C1q and C3 up-regulate in the retinas with lens-defocused myopic animal model.Excessive complement activation in retinas may be involved in the development of myopia.

Objective To optimize the formula ratio of matrix and the preparation process of Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm. Methods The optimal matrix prescription of Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm was optimized by uniform design,and the optimal preparation process was determined at the same time. The viscosity and the appearance of the Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm (film residue,uniformity,ductility,skin adhesive ability of the plaster)are used as indexes. Results The preparation process of Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm is good,and through the analysis of experimental data,the optimal ratio of the matrix is NP-700∶aluminum hydroxide ∶glycerol ∶0.1% tartrate solution=3∶0.3∶25∶5. Conclusion The Preparation process is good and the optimal matrix has moderate viscosity,no film residue,and with better uniformity,ductility and skin adhesive ability.

Objective:To explore the mechanism of growth factor autocrine stimulation in human pituitary tumors. Method: Immunohistochemical analyses of EGF、TGF-αand EGFR were studied on paraffin-embeded sections of 30 pituitary tumors. Results: Expression of EGFR and its ligand EGF、TGF-αhas a variable stained cells intensity,density and type. EGFR and the ligands expressed in majority of pituitary tumors.Conclusion:The EGF autocrine stimulation exists in pituitary tumors,and tyrosine kinases inhibitors may be useful for pituitary tumors treatment.
