Objective To study the protective effect of tadenan on morphologic and enzymatic changes of the detrusor muscle after bladder outlet obsttuction (BOO).Methods 28 white male rabbits were divided into four groups of 7 rabbits in each group.Control group received operation but not forming obstruction model, while the other three groups received operation forming obstruction model. Two weeks after operation, tadenan group received tadenan orall.y at 100mg · kg-1 · d -1 for three weeks;peanut oil group received vehicle only and the obstruction group did not teceive any drugs for three weeks. After three weeks, the bladder detrusor muscles of each group were collected.Morphologic changes were observed under electron microscope. The MDA concentration and the activity of SOD,NOS and Ca2 + -Mg2+ -ATP ase were measured. Results Eletron microscopy showed lots of abnormities in the detrusor muscles in obstruction group. The diltation and degranulation of rough endoplasmic reticulum were abvious.Dropsy and vecuole denaturalization were found in mitochondria. The mitochondrial crista decreased or disappeared.A plenty of lysosomes were also found in the detrusor muscle cells. The activity of SOD[A group( 86.568 ±4.657),B group(89.218 ±4.430 ),C group ( 33.696 ± 3.010 ),D group ( 32.258 ± 2.001 ) U/ng protein ],NOS [ A ( 12.87 1 ± 1.240 ),R(9.274 ± 1.137),C(2.365 ±0.358 ),D(3.614 ±0.147) U/mg protein) ] and Ca2+ -Mg2+ -ATP ase[ (A(5.231 ±0.329),R( 5.362 ± 0.266),C ( 2.285 ± 0.354 ),D ( 2.654 ± 0.307 ) μmolPi/mg protein ) ],the concentration of MDA[A(8.369 ±0.170 ),B( 10.358 ±0.383 ),C(36.598 ± 3.120),D(42.574 -± 2.009) nmol/mg protein) ].Conclusion Tadenan had the protective effect on ultrastructure of detrusor cell, and it reduce the production of free radical and avoide excessive superoxidation to prevent the process of pathologic changes of the detrusor muscles.

Rhynchophylla is a Chinese herb commonly used in clinical practice. It's also the primary herb of some famous Chinese herbal compound such as Tianma Gouteng decoction, and Lingyang Gouteng decoction. According the record from many previous materia medica literatures, rhynchophylla should be added later during decoction. Pharmaceutical research showed that rhynchophylla alkaloids were not stable. Which has resulted in many problems in the research and its application. For example, there was not a quantitative determination method in "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" of past and present versions, which seriously impacted its quality control and product application. Firstly, records from previous materia medica literatures and "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" were systematically sorted based on the chemical stability of rhynchophylla. Secondly, pharmaceutical research including chemical compositions and their stability, pharmacological effects, extraction process and quality analysis, was reviewed after reference of literatures published at home and abroad in recent decades. Positive reference and evidence for further research and development of rhynchophylla will be provided in the article.

Objective To study the effect of octreotide on patients with postoperative acute adhesive small bowel obstruction. Method In this study, 87 patients with postoperative acute adhesive small bowel obstruction were divided into 2 groups: experimental group (46 patients) and control group (41 patients). Patients in the control group were treated with routine therapy, including gastrointestinal decompression, intravenous infusion, antibiotic and enema. Patients in the experimental group were treated with routine therapy plus somatostatin analogue (octreotide) 0.1 mg. ih q8 h. for 72 hour. The alleviation of abdominal symptom and sign and the possibility of surgical intervention are observed and compared. Results Compared to the control group, the obstruction in the experimental group alleviated significantly, the abdominal pain relieved, the amount of draining decreased, and the passage of gas was earlier. Conclusions Based on the routine therapy, the use of octreotide significantly relieves the symptoms of obstruction and shortens the course of conservative therapy.

The quality and integrity of clinical trials and associated data are not only derived from accuracy of trial data analyses, but also closely embodied to the authenticity and integrity of those data and data documents as well as the compliant procedures obtaining those data and relevant files in the life cycle of clinical trials. The compliances of good clinical practices and standards suggest the reliability, complete and accuracy of data and data documents, which is constructing the convincible foundation of drug efficacy and safety validated via clinical trials. Therefore, the monitoring and auditing on clinical trials and associated data quality keep eyes on not only verifications of reliability and correctness on the data analytic outcomes, but also validation of science and compliance of the trial management procedure and documentations in the process of data collections.

Microbiology 1992;0(02):-
Since 2000,most of H5N1 subtype influenza A virus had a unique mutation of NS gene with 15base pair deletion from 263 to 277. In order to investigate the bio-characteristics of this mutation, two different NS recombinants,RWSN-248 and RWSN-m248,were generated via plasmid rescue from A/WSN/33(H1N1) and A/SD/04(H5N1). RWSN-248 had a higher viral titer than RWSN-m248 in MDCK and COS-1 cells that have an IFN response, but they had the similar growth ability in Vero cells that lack an IFN response. Both of two recombinants grew well in embryonated chicken eggs and had the similar viral titer and MDT. The results above revealed that the deletion from 263 to 277 sites of NS gene did not influence viral virulence to but decreased viral anti-IFN ability of H5N1.

Objective To evaluate the effects of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) on hepatic cancer cells spreading in blood. Methods AFP mRNA in peripheral blood of 19 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma was detected before and after HIFU therapy by RT PCR.Results ①Before HIFU therapy, 11 of 19 cases were AFP mRNA positive (57.9%), while the control group were all negative. AFP mRNA was correlated with some clinical parameters such as serum AFP level, tumor size, portal vein embolism and extrahepatic metastasis ( P 0.05). ③After one week of HIFU therapy, the AFP mRNA positive rate of the group with tumor size less than 8 cm was much lower than that of tumor size larger than 8 cm ( P
