1.Advances in research on pericolonic tumor deposits in colorectal cancer

It has been a problem in clinical practice that recurrence and distant metastasis of patients with colorectal cancer undergoing surgery.Recently,pericolonic tumor deposits has attracted extensive attention of scholars,and they think pericolonic tumor deposits may be closely related with colorectal cancer postoperative recurrence and metastasis.This review aims to introduce concept of pericolonic tumor deposits,pathological characteristics and its important role in clinical staging and prognosis,so as to provide clinical doctors medical advice to set more reasonable treatment and achieve the purpose of reducing tumor recurrence or metastasis for patients with colorectal cancer.
2. Study on the effect of T-2 toxin and selenium on CD44 expression in the cultured human fetal chondrocytes in vitro

Objective: To investigate the effect on the structure of reestablished cartilage in vitro and CD44 expression on chondrocytes and compare the inducing effect on the reestablished cartilage in vitro between cortical bone matrix gelatin and cancellous bone matrix gelatin. Methods: To plant human fetal chondrocytes on the BMG, the damage of the cultured chondrocytes was observed by the optical microscope (HE staining). The immunohistochemistry of CD44 was quantitative analysis by the image collection and analysis system. Results: With the increasing concentraton of T-2 toxin, the damage of chondroytes was more and more evident and CD44 expression was lowered. After adding selenium, the damage was relieved and CD44 expression increased. The density of chondrocytes on the cortical bone matrix gelatin was much higher than that on the cancellous bone matrix gelatin. Conclusion: T-2 toxin can lower the CD44 expression on the chondrocytes and adding selenium can relieve the damage caused by T-2toxin and increased CD44 expression. The inducing effect on reestablished cartilage in vitro of cortical bone matrix gelatin was much higher than that of cancellous bone matrix gelatin.
3.Analysis on monitoring results of Kaschin-Beck disease in Xi'an City in 2007

Objective To investigate the status of Kachin-Beck diseage(KBD)in Xi'an and provide a scientific basis for decision-making in controlling the disease.Methods According to original disease data of KBD,children aged 7 to 12 were chosen to receive clinical and X-ray examination according to the KBD monitoring standard stipulated by the government in 6 villages of 3 countries in Xi'an.The local adults were elinically diagnosed and divided into different groups according to the clinical degrees and their ages.Resuhs Among 373 schod children who had clinical examinations,15 early cases were detected,and the detectable rate was 4.02%(15/373);Among 325 school childrenundergoning by X-ray,1 case was detected,and the detectable rate was 0.31%(1/325).In 5630 adults clinically tested,1402 patients were detected,the detectable rate was 24.90%(1402/5630).The patients distributed mainly in the population aged above 36 years old.Conclusions The situation of KBD control is still serious in Xi'an city.KBD monitoring and health education should be carried on.Furdher Tesearch on treatment methods and drug therapy should be performed.
4.THE STUDY ON THE MECHANISMS OF IMMUNOSUPPRESSIVE EFFECT OF TRIPTERYGIUM WILFORDII HOOK ( TWH )

The mechanisms of immunosuppression of TWH were studied. The results indicated that TWH was able to reduce the antibody forming cells of splenocytes in mice and to suppress directly the proliferation of B cells to lipopolysaceharide ( LPS ) and to decrease the production of IL-2. Furthermore, TWH was able to produce immu-nosuppressive effect by activiting Ts cells.
5.Application Effect of Protein A/G Affinity Chromatograph in Heapatitis C Virus Antibody Purification

Objective To analyze the factors of Protein A/G affinity column,influencing purification effect,and get the best condition to improve application effect of Protein A/G affinity column. Methods We Purified anti-HCV-IgG serum with different disposal modality,different sample input modality and different application number of affinity column before detecting and analyzing the purified samples. Results The Protein A/G affinity column had the best purified effect after using saturated ammonium sulfate to first purification,which increased the affinity column adsorption effect within 30 minutes adsorption. Conclusion Using antibody with first purification and adding the adsorption time could improve utilization rate of affinity column and prolong the service life.
6.Inhibitory effects of Sanguisorba officinalis L.on MRSA biofilms formation

Objective To investigate inhibitory effects of Sanguisorba officinalis L.on biofilms of MRSA41577.Methods Congo red agar method and crystal violet semi-quantitative method were used to detect the biofilms-forming ability of tested strains; TTC assay was used to detect inhibitory effects of Sanguisorba officinalis L.on biofilms formation and mature biofilms of MRSA41577,as well as effects of Sanguisorba officinalis L.in combination with vancomycin on mature biofilms of MRSA41577.Results Sanguisorba officinalis L.showed significant inhibitory both on biofilms formation and mature biofilms, minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) and minimal bactericidal concentration(MBC) of biofilms formation were 1 mg/mL and 8 mg/mL,MIC of mature biofilms was 4 mg/mL.The sensitivity of mature biofilms to vancomycin was greatly increased when Sanguisorba officinalis L.was combined with vancomycin with subinhibitory concentrations.Sanguisorba officinalis L.at 1/4 MIC can inhibit mature biofilms when combined with vancomycin at 4 μg/mL, while vancomycin didn't show inhibitory effects on mature biofilms when concentrations were below 64 μg/mL. Conclusion Sanguisorba officinalis L.has significant inhibitory on biofilms formation, the mechanism may be related to Sanguisorba officinalis L.destroyed biofilms and make vancomycin penetrate into the biofilms to finish the bactericidal activity.
7.Removal of protein extract from moringa oleifera seed presscake on turbidity water

Objective To study the removal effect of Moringa seedprotein on turbidity water. Methods The protein of Moringaoleifera seed was extracted by salting out and salting out methodand the protein concentration of Moringa oleifera seed wasdetermined by Coomassie blue staining;The removal effect of Moringa seed protein on turbidity water was determined by coagulation test.The contents of COD, ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen in the water were determined to determine the effect of Moringa seed protein on water quality. Results The experimental results showed that Moringa oleifera seed protein has good removal effect on high and medium turbidity water, and its removal effect is in a dose - dependent manner.The removal rate of 7 mg/L of Moringa seed protein to high and medium turbidity water reached 92.25 % and 64.71 % respectively. But the removal efficiency of low turbidity water was less than 7 mg/L, the removal rate of low turbidity water was only 31.91%.The results of determination of COD, ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen showed that the Moringa seed protein did not increase the content of organic matter in the water while removing turbidity effectively. Conclusion Moringa oleifera seed protein has a certain removal effect on turbidity water, among which the removal effect of high and medium turbidity water is strong, and the removal effect of low turbidity water is poor.Moringa oleifera seed protein had little effect on water quality.
8.A Study on Scale of Attitude Test of Vocational Development Inventory

Objective: To develop a cross-culture revision of VDI created by Crites. Methods: A total of 900 college students were tested at ramdom with VDI. Results: ①Item analysis confirms that the quality of items is high; ②Cronbach ? coefficients, and the test -retest stability coefficients ranged from 0.660 to 0.840, and 0.557 to 0.761, respectively; ③There were significant differences between post graduates and undergraduates. Conclusion: The psychometric properties of the inventory developed in the current study are acceptable.
9.Construction of a cDNA Library and Cloning of an Arabinosidase cDNA from Armillariella tabescens

The expression cDNA library of A. tabescens was constructed by SMART technique, which useλTriplEx2 as a vector. The titer and the percentage of the constructed library were about 1.0 × 106pfu/mland 98.3% respectively, and the titer and the capacity of the amplified library were about 3.1 × 108pfu/mland 4.2 × 1010. The library was used to provide expressed sequence tags (ESTs). 147 Expressed SequenceTaqs (ESTs) were gained from 176 clones, which were selected randomly and sequenced at the 5'end. Thesequences were submitted to the EMBL database. Blasting the sequences in the GenBank, 43 of them werefound that they have significant similarity with data in GenBank. EST AJ620046 was has significantsimilarity with the arabinosidase of Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron. Using SMART-RACE a full-length cDNA ofAJ620046 was successfully obtained. In order to initially characterize the biochemical properties ofAJ620046, the ORF of AJ620046 named AF was cloned and expressed in Pichia Pastoris yeast.Recombinant pHIL-S1-AF constructed by inserting AF into pHIL-S1 was transformed into Pichia PastorisGS115. Preliminary experiments indicated that AJ620046 was expressed as a 32 kDa protein in recombinantyeast.
10.Effect of Case Method on the Clinical Teaching of Medical Oncology

Objective Explore the effect of case method on clinical teaching of Medical Oncology. Methods The case method was taken in the teaching of Clinical Oncology for trial group,and the traditional method teaching was taken for contrast group of our university. At the end of term, we made a questionnaire and statistics examination records. Results (1) It was conducive to good learning ability. Case method teaching in Clinical Oncology could cultivate student's ability to study independently. (2) Comparing examination records of the two groups, it also showed a significant difference ( <0.05) . Conclusion (1) Case method teaching has good teaching effect, and it can cultivate student's ability to study independently. (2) Application of case teaching method in Clinical Oncology received a very good teaching result, but the assessment system should be established and improved.
