1.Study on the affinity of serum glucoprotein and alphafeteprotein (AFP) in some cancerous patients with lectin Con. A prepare from seeds of canavalia ensiformis in Vietnam
Pharmaceutical Journal 2001;297(1):9-12
Using highly purified Con. A extracted from Vie seeds of canavalina ensiformis in Vietnam to make Con. A – Sepharose 4B affinity column for the expression of serum AFP and other Glycoprotein in patients which liver and breast cancer showed a high specific interaction between lectin Con. A and AFP as well as some pathological glycoprotein. That was the mainly basis for our later research on marking lectin affinity AFP in early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma, especially in patients at high risk such as chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis.

2.Study on expression of serum concentration of antibody IgA1 in normal people and patients with hepatocellular epithelioma by j1-sepharose 4b-lectin affinity column chromatography
Pharmaceutical Journal 2000;288(4):16-18
We have used jacalin, a lectin purified from Vietnamses Jackfruit to design J1- sepharose 4 B affinity column for studying IgA1 concentration from healthy and Hepato Cellular Carcinoma sera. The results obtained showed that IgA1 concentration from human Hepato Cellular Carcinoma serum (7.85+/- 0.80 mg/ml) is 2.76 times higher than that of healthy human (2.84+/-0.28 mg/ml). The use of modified ELISA technique for determination IgA1 concentration from sera indicated the same results in comparison with Affinity chromatography technique.

Geographical and racial factors constitute important distinctions between Kawasaki disease (KD) and multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), but no study has been conducted in Vietnam. Forty-one children with KD from January 2018 to July 2020 and 42 with KD/MIS-C from August 2020 to December 2022 were included in this study. Of the patients, 52.3% were aged between 12 and 35 months. Only two were aged over 5 years, and both were belong to the KD/MIS-C group. A 59.5% of the patients were male. Apart from fever, all symptoms tended to be more frequent in patients with KD/MIS-C. The prevalence of diffuse skin rash, hand and foot edema or erythema and gastrointestinal signs was significantly higher in patients hospitalized with KD/MIS-C. There was no significant difference in laboratory findings between the two groups. Coronary artery dilation was more frequently observed in patients with KD/MIS-C compared to those with KD (40.5% vs. 14.6%, P = 0.009).
