OBJECTIVE: To analyze the utilization of Chinese patent medicines in our hospital to provide scientific basis of rational use of drugs in clinic.METHODS: Data about annual consumption sum and consumption amount of Chinese patent medicines in our hospital during 2005～2009 were collected to analyze annual consumption sum,DDDs end daily cost of Chinese patent medicine statistically.RESULTS: The annual consumption sum of Chinese patent medicines showed a upward trend in our hospital during 2005～2009.The top 15 Chinese patent medicine in the list of consumption sum which took up a large proportion affected the total consumption sum.Injection was used more and more so that the ratio of its consumption sum to rank of DDDs was lower than one.CONCLUSION: Cheap and effective Chinese patent medicines play an important part in the clinic.DDDs order should be emphasized in the drug supervision and Chinese traditional medicines injection should be managed strictly.

OBJECTIVE: To facilitate separate-store management and cold-chain management for hospital drugs. METHODS: The temperature division of separate-store management of hospital drugs was analyzed. The cold-chain management of cold-storage and freeze-storage drugs was discussed. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: During the storage period of hospital drugs,the temperature of cold-storeroom should be kept at 2～8 ℃,that of shady and cool storeroom at 0～20 ℃,and that of the normal temperature storeroom at 0～30 ℃. In the cold-chain management,great importance should be attached to several key steps such as to standardize the transport vehicles,set up stores for the turnover of drugs,and to clarify the operational procedure and working standard. It is necessary to strengthen separate-storehouse management and cold-chain management for hospital drugs.

OBJECTIVE To investigate DNA hypermethylation of human 8-hydroxyguanine glycosy-lase(hOGG1 )gene and and the level of oxidative stress and DNA oxidative damage relations with arse-nic poisoning.METHODS In ende mic coal-pollution-borne arsenism area,Xinren county,Guizhou Province,according to the diagnostic criteria of ende mic arsenism(WS /T21 1 -2001 ),207 people with ende mic arsenism were selected and divided into four groups(The arsenic exposure group:46 cases, mild arsenism group:46 cases,moderate arsenism group:60 cases and severe arsenism group:55 cases).64 residents were selected as controls in a village about 12 km away fro m the ende mic arsenism area.With the informed consent principle,peripheral blood of all respondents was collected in order to analyze DNA methylation.Methylation-specific poly merase chain reaction were respectively performed to analyze hOGG1 Hypermethylation in arsenism respondents.Che mical methods were performed on the activity of super oxide dis mutase (SOD)and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px),while the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA)in the blood of patients were measured,and the contents of 8-hydroxy-2′-deox-yguanine(8-OHdG)urine of patients were measured and analysed.On the basis of methylation status are divided into hOGG1 gene methylation group (34 cases)and hOGG1 gene no methylation group (237cases).Analysis was performd on hOGG1 gene DNA methylation and the relationship between oxi-dative stress and arsenic poisoning.RESULTS The positive rates of hypermethylation of hOGG1 were associated with the degree of arsenic poisonin (co mpared with control group,χ2 =23.916,P <0.05, Co mpared with the Ende mic area normal group,χ2 =12.039,P <0.05 ).Co mparing with negative group,SOD〔(85 ±25)kU·L -1 〕,GSH-Px〔(70 ±26)kU·L -1 〕activity and 8-OHdG 〔(22.5 ±6.8)μg·L -1 〕contents were lower〔(1 18 ±41 )kU·L -1 ,(171 ±56)kU·L -1 ,(28.4 ±6.5)μg·L -1 ,P <0.05)〕in positive group.There was no significant difference between the MDA content(P>0.05).CONCLUSION Coal arsenic exposure can cause hOGG1 gene high methylation and oxidation and anti-oxidation system imbalance,causing DNA oxidative damage,it is one of the reasons to pro mote the develop ment of arsenic poisoning occurred.

The study aims to solve the instability problem of methylphenidate (MPH) in plasma, and establish a LC-MS/MS method for simultaneous determining of MPH in human plasma. The stabilities of MPH in different media were studied, and the degradation characteristics of MPH in these media were also investigated by HPLC and LC-MS/MS. To a 200 microL aliquot of freshly collected plasma sample, 10 microL 2% formic acid was added immediately to prevent the hydrolysis of MPH in human plasma samples. Chromatographic separation was performed on a Sapphire C18 column using the mobile phase of methanol - 5 mmol.L-1 ammonium acetate buffer solution containing 0.1% formic acid (46 : 54). MPH was quantified by tandem mass spectrometry operating in positive electrospray ionization mode with multiple reaction monitoring. The detection used the transitions of protonated molecules at m/z 234.2-->84.1 for MPH and m/z 260.3-->183.1 for propranolol (IS), separately. The intra- and inter-assay precisions were all below 5.0%. The accuracies were all in standard ranges. The linear calibration curve was obtained in the concentration range of 0.035-40 ng.mL-1. The methods fulfilled the demand. The method was used to determine the concentration of MPH in human plasma after a single dose of 36 mg MPH tablet to 6 healthy Chinese volunteers. The method is suitable for the precisely determination of MPH and for pharmacokinetic study of MPH in human plasma.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for the improvement of Metaanalysis. METHODS:13 repots about Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on antivirus traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)injections for respiratory tract infections were collected and analyzed. Their qualities were evaluated using QUOROM statement,CONSORT statement,Jadad scale and the quality evaluation method for Metaanalysis posed by Sacks,etc. Disagreements were resolved by consensus. RESULTS:The obtained average mark of 13 studies was(64?10.13)with the highest mark of 84 and the lowest of 52. Quality evaluations of reports were conducted from 5 aspects including 25 items. 5 aspects were all considered in 13 studies. 60% of the 25 items were in- volved in 13 reports at least and 88% at most. CONCLUSION:Meta- analysis methods are improved significantly in China. It should be still standardized to make sure correctness and reliability of results of meta-analysis. Meta-analysis method should be stan-dardized to obtain correct and reliable results.

Objective To explore the effect of compound Chinese medicine lotion in the preparation room of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University on the patients with flat wart.Methods Confocal laser scanning microscopy and clinical diagnosis were used to collect 100 cases of flat warts from March 2013 to March 2015.The patients were randomly divided into the treatment group ( Chinese compound lotion) and the control group ( tretinoin cream) with 50 cases in each group.Self-made compound Chinese medicine lotion or Victoria A acid cream for 20 days, after the treatment, the curative effect and relapse rate of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group (94.0%) was significantly higher than the control group (76.0%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The relapse rate in the treatment group was 4.3%, significantly lower than that in the control group the rate was 28.9%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions Self-made Chinese compound lotion on flat wart patients have a good effect, and its curative effect on verruca plana is better than tretinoin.

Objective To evaluate the effect of lentinan polysaccharide (LPS) on Alzheimer's disease (AD) rats, and providing a new idea for prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD).Methods 96 SPF rats were randomly divided into control group, model group, LPS low dose-treated group, LPS middle dose-treated group, LPS high dose-treated group and positive control group(piracetam treated), each had 16 rats.The model of AD was induced by injection of Aβ25-35(80 pmol/μL), rats in four treatment groups were treated with LPS (200 mg/kg), LPS (400 mg/kg), LPS (600 mg/kg) and piracetam(600 mg/kg) orally once a day for 60 days while control group and model group were given equal-dose saline.After treatment, the ability of navigation and memory were evaluated by water maze test (MWM), and then rats in all groups were sacrificed to obtain the hippocampus.HE staining was used to observe the histopathological changes, the expressions of TACE,Aβ,BACE1 and PP2A protein in hippocampus were detected by Western blot.Results Compared with the model group, high dose LPS could significantly improve the ability of learning and memory (P<0.01) and improve the ability of locating navigation (P<0.01).HE staining results showed that LPS treatment could repair the rat hippocampus injury induced by Aβ25-35 .Western blot analysis showed that the levels of Aβ, and BACE1 were down-regulated in LPS group compared with the model group, while the protein level of PP2A and TACE was up-regulated.Conclusion LPS has a protective effect on Aβ25 -35 induced AD model, and it is expected to be a strategy for treatment of AD .

BACKGROUND:Perioperative hypothermia may lead to coagulation function for patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty,and an increase in blood loss.OBJECTIVE:To compare the influence of temperature protection with non-temperature protection on coagulation function in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty.METHODS:Forty ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ patients scheduled for total knee arthroplasty were randomly divided into temperature protection and non-temperature protection groups (n=20 per group).The patients in the temperature protection group underwent heat-preservation including preheating room temperature,actively blanket warmer,were infused or flushed with fluids of 37 ℃ by heating apparatus;the patients in the non-temperature protection group received full-body-covered cotton quilt only.The nasopharyngeal temperature were detected at postoperative 10 minutes,intraoperative 1 hour and postoperative 1 hour,and 1.25 mL of venous blood were collected to detect the fibrin formation time,blood clot formation time,and maximum amplitude using thrombelastography.Additionally,the intraoperative blood loss and volume of drainage at postoperative 24 hours were recorded.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The nasopharyngeal temperature in the non-temperature protection group was significantly lower than that in the temperature protection group at postoperative 1 hour (P ＜ 0.05).(2) The intraoperative blood loss and volume of drainage at postoperative 24 hours in the temperature protection group were significantly less than those in the non-temperature protection group (P ＜ 0.05).(3) Compared with the temperature protection group,fibrin formation time and blood clot formation time at intraoperative and postoperative 1 hour were significantly lengthened,and maximum amplitude at postoperative 1 hour was significantly shortened in the non-temperature protection group (P ＜ 0.05).(4) These findings show that intraoperative hypothermia can weaken platelet function,inhibit coagulation factor activity,and increase the amount of blood loss and drainage.In the meanwhile,heat-preservation is able to reduce the loss of body heat,improve coagulation function and reduce blood loss for patients undergoing knee replacement.

Objective:To investigate the difference of clinical characteristics of children and adults with brucellosis osteoarthritis in Yinchuan, Ningxia.Methods:The clinical data of patients with brucellosis osteoarthritis who were diagnosed in General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January 2009 to September 2019 were collected retrospectively. According to age, the patients were divided into two groups: children (0-14 years old, 50 cases) and adults (≥15 years old, 236 cases). Epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations and laboratory examination results of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results:Among children, 39 were males and 11 were females, school age children (8-14 years old, 25 cases) were more common; among adults, 179 were males and 57 were females, middle-aged and elderly people (46-65 years old, 128 cases) were more common. The peak incidence of both groups was from March to August (39 children and 142 adults). In the two groups, a total of 266 patients (40 children and 226 adults) were recorded with a history of exposure, of which 226 patients (28 children and 198 adults) had contacted with cattle, sheep and other live animals. In clinical manifestations, compared with children, adults had higher incidences of low back pain [38.00% (19/50) vs 63.98% (151/236)], hyperhidrosis [6.00% (3/50) vs 30.08% (71/236)] and fatigue [8.00% (4/50) vs 34.75% (82/236)], and lower incidences of single joint pain [70.00% (35/50) vs 19.49% (46/236)], fever [72.00% (36/50) vs 49.15% (116/236)], and lymph node enlargement [30.00% (15/50) vs 2.54% (6/236)], and the differences were statistically significant ( P < 0.05). Among children, the knee joint involvement (62.00%, 31/50) and hip joint involvement (42.00%, 21/50) were more common, but spinal involvement was not found; while among adults, spinal involvement (55.51%, 131/236) was the most common. The incidences of elevated white blood cell count [18.00% (9/50) vs 6.36% (15/236)], elevated percentage of lymphocytes [82.00% (41/50) vs 27.12% (64/236)], elevated platelet [24.00% (12/50) vs 8.90% (21/236)], elevated aspartate aminotransferase [64.00% (32/50) vs 30.08% (71/236)], elevated alanine aminotransferase [38.00% (19/50) vs 20.76% (49/236)] and anemia [42.00% (21/50) vs 16.53% (39/236)] in children were higher than those in adults; the incidences of elevated percentage of neutrophils [0 (0/50) vs 9.75% (23/236)], hypoalbuminemia [2.00% (1/50) vs 14.41% (34/236)], low sodium [2.00% (1/50) vs 10.17% (24/236)], elevated C-reactive protein [50.00% (25/50) vs 77.12% (182/236)] in children were lower than those in adults, and the differences were statistically significant ( P < 0.05). The positive rate of blood culture in children (65.22%, 30/46) was higher than that in adults (40.54%, 60/148), and the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0.05). Conclusions:There are differences in clinical characteristics between children and adults with brucellosis osteoarthritis in Yinchuan, Ningxia. In particular, there is a significant difference between children and adults in the location of bone and joint involvement.
