Epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs)and anti-angio-genic drugs have individually demonstrated clinical benefit in the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Recent studies demonstrate that the combination of anti-EGFR and anti-angiogene-sis can more significantly enhance clinical benefit, and even can remit EGFR-TKIs resistance in the treatment of advanced NSCLC.According to the different kinds of anti-angiogenesis drugs, recent clinical studies mainly include the combination of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor monoclonal antibody bevacizumab plus EGFR-TKIs and multi-targeted receptor anti-angiogenic tyrosine kinase inhibitor plus EGFR-TKIs,and the for-mer results show a more significant improvement in terms of safety and efficacy in the treatment of advanced NSCLC.Therefore, the combination of bevacizumab plus EGFR-TKIs can be used as a new treatment standard in the treatment of some patients with NSCLC.

Objective To establish the HPLC fingerprint of cultured Cordyceps militaris. MethodsHPLC Method was used for the determination of C. militaris on Agilent ZOBAX SB-Aq C18 column (250 mm?4.0 mm, 5 ?m), and measuring with methanol 5%—60% in 30 min as elution detective wavelength at 260 nm, injection sample of 1.0 ?L and flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The systematic optimized design of the chromatographic conditions, such as supersonic extraction, mobile phase, and detective wavelength as well was carried out. Results Fingerprint consisted of 11 common peaks and the result of methodology determination fitted to the related standards. The evaluation of cultured C. militaris by systematically comparing chromatograms with a professional analytical software recommended by National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products has been established. Conclusion The method is accurate, simple, and useful for the quality control of cultured C. militaris.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(07):-
Fatty acid synthase is the key enzyme which catalyzes the de novo synthesis of long-chain fatty acids from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA.Only recently has it been appreciated that C75,the inhibitor of fatty acid synthase can make mice lose weight via reducing food intake and increasing energy consumption. The present paper reviews the potential mechanism by which the inhibitor of fatty acid synthase may influence the expression of hypothalamic neuropeptides mediating the behaviour of food intake in central nervous system and decrease adipose sediment or increase energy production.

The antitumor activities of artemisinin and its derivatives has become a hot topic in recent years.Artemisinin and its derivatives have been reported to exert antitumor effects mainly by blocking the cell cycle, promoting tumor cell apoptosis, inhibiting angiogenesis and so on.Also, their influence on signaling pathways has attracted considerable interest of many scholars.Currently, in order to discover some compounds with better therapeutic potentials, many studies dedicated to the synthesis and development of new artemisinin derivatives. In addition, the effects of artemisinin and its derivatives on multi-drug resistantace in tumor cells also become a trend of the future research. In this paper, we review the research advances in the antitumor activities of artemisinin and its derivatives during the past five years to provide a reference for future study .

Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;35(10):1-4
Connexin (Cx) is the main component of gap junction channels, which is essential for intercellular communication between adjacent cells.Cx plays an important role in regulation of the growth, differentiation and apoptosis of cells and is closely related to tumor formation and development. The expression of Cx appears to be different in different stages of tumor development, and the regulatory mechanism of Cx is also involved in many aspects. In this paper, recent advances in the studies on Cx are reviewed, including the relationship between Cx and development of tumor, the basic mechanism of Cx, as well as its applications in antitumor-drug screening and tumor therapy.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(S2):-
Objective To investigate the etiological diagnosis utilization value of bronchial provocation tes(tBPT) in patients with chronic cough variant asthma(CVA) .Methods The bronchial provocation test was performed to assess the bronchial responsiveness by inhaling methacholine in 1155 patients with chronic cough.RESULTS There was no significant difference of pulmonary function in vary age groups. The positive rate of bronchial provocation test was 50.6%(584/1155,285 males,299 females,In those patients with positive result,547 patients were diagnosed as CVA,25 patients as post-infection cough, and 12 patients as chronic bronchitis.Spe-cificity of BPT was 93.9%.The population under 30 years had the highest CVA diagnostic rate of 68.8%and those over 60 years had the lowest diagnostic rate of 23.5%.These two groups had significant difference when compared to the other age groups respectively. Conclusions CVA is the main cause of chronic cough. The BPT is a simple and effective method in the diagnosis of CVA at early stage.

Objective To observe the effect of fluvastatin(Flu) on differentiation and induction of human promyelocytic leukemia HL-60 cells and provide the theoretical foundation for treatment of human promyelocytic leukemia. Methods The cultured HL-60 cells were treated with 20 ?mol?L-1 Flu,the morphological changes of the cell differentiation were examined. The NBT reduction capability was detected in HL-60 cells treated with Flu for 72 h.After HL-60 cells were treated with 20 ?mol?L-1 Flu for 5 d,they were stained with non-specific esterase and the percentage of differentiation cells was analyzed. Results The HL-60 cells treated with Flu showed smaller cell body, reducing proportion of nucleus to cytoplasm, the nucleus tortuosity, fold or sublobe. There were specific granules and vacuoles in cytoplasm, displaying that some cells had differentiated to relative mature cells. As compared with control group, the NBT reduction capability in HL-60 cells treated with Flu for 72 h was significantly higher than that in control cells(P

Objective To discover the mutations of rare thalassemia genes by sequencing of α and β-globin genes,to understand the frequency of rare mutations and to enrich thalassemia gene mutation spectrum in Chinese population. Methods For the cases of phenotype and genotype inconsistent, the 1st generation of sequencing was performed for α or β-globin gene coding region sequence analysis. Results A total of 102 patients with rare thalassemia gene mutations were found by sequencing, including 79 cases of β-thalassemia with 35 kinds of mutant types, and 23 cases of α-thalassemia with 11 kinds of mutant types. Conclusion The thalassemia gene sequencing could reveal rare mutations in genes, identify the genotype of patients, provide important support for prenatal diagnosis of rare thalassemia families, and reduce the missing rate and birth rate of children with thalassemia.

Immunotherapy is revolutionizing the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) monoclonal antibodies have recently led to significant and durable improvements in the clinical outcome of NSCLC,and the anti-PD-1 antibody has been approved to use in first-line and second-line treatment of NSCLC.However, there are still many problems to be solved. The role of PD-L1 as a predictive biomarker remains unclear.Combination treatment models are being explored. This review summarizes the clinical efficacy, drug adverse reaction, combined treatment, and potential immune biomarkers of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibody research progress in the treatment of NSCLC.
