Objective To investigate the clinical significance of DHS and LCP in treating elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture.Methods 58 elderly patients were randomly divided into 2 groups.30 of them( DHS group) were treated with DHS,while 28 cases of them were treated with LCP.Blood loss,operation time,bone healing time and Harris score were analyzed.After 1-year follow time,effective rate and complication rate were also recorded and evaluated in the 2 groups.Results The complication rate in LCP group was lower than that in DHS group(P ＜0.05),while the effective rate and Harris score in LCP were higher than that in DHS group( P ＜0.05 ).There were no significant differences in blood loss,operation time and bone healing time between the 2 groups ( P ＞ 0.05 ).Conclusion Compared with DHS,LCP is effective in treating elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture.

Objective To screen for ?-glucosidase inhibitors from the extracts of marine invertebrates collected at the seashore of Qingdao China.Method The 95% ethanol extracts of 33 species of marine invertebrates were screened for the presence of ?-glucosidase inhibitors using rapid colorimetric method.Result Some extracts have inhibitory activity against ?-glucosidase,among which the extracts of Tubularia marina,Asterina pectinifera,Apostichopus japonicus and Scapharca subcrenata have much higher inhibitory rate: 56.1%,67.3%,62.2%,and 66.3% at the concentration of 0.6 mg?mL-1.Conclusion The results suggested that marine invertebrates are sources of new ?-glucosidase inhibitors.

Objective To investigate the chemical constituents in sponge Tedania sp..Methods Solvent extraction,gel and silica column chromatography were used to separate the chemical constituents,the structures of whichwere identified by physicochemical properties and spectral analyses.Results Six compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as cholesterol(1),stearic acid(2),?-sitosterol(3),daucosterol(4),4-hydroxybenzoic acid(5)and thymidine(6).Conclusion Compounds 1,2,3,5 were first found from this marine invertebrate.

Objective To investigate the bacterial distribution and resistance in orthopedic patients with wound infections in the hospital in 2014 .Methods The bacteria identification and the antimicrobial susceptibility test were conducted by VITEK‐2 compact automatic system .Results A total of 864 pathogenic strains were collected ,with Gram‐positive bacteria 451 strains (52 .2% ) , Gram‐negative bacteria 398 strains(46 .1% ) .The first major pathogens of Gram‐positive bacteria were Staphylococcus aureus(n=233 ,27% );The top three pathogens of Gram‐negative bacteria were Pseudomonas aeruginosa(n=94 ,10 .9% ) ,Enterobacter cloacae (n=63 ,7 .3% ) ,Acinetobacter baumannii(n=58 ,6 .7% ) .All the Staphylococcus aureus isolates were susceptible to vancomycin , tigecycline ,nitrofuratoin ,quinupristin/dalfopristin ,linezolid .The resistant rates of Acinetobacter baumannii were higher than 50%to multiple antibiotics .Conclusion Staphylococcus aureus were predominant pathogens in orthopedic patients with wound infec‐tions in our hospital .Meantime ,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter cloacae were the prime pathogens in the Gram‐negative bacteria .The drug‐resistance situation is still severe ,and more effective measures should be taken to control the dissemination and growth of resistant strains .

Purpose To investigate the clinicopathologic features, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of primary gastric inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor ( IMT) . Methods Four cases of gastric IMTs were studied by clinicopathologic analysis, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, and the related literature was reviewed. Results In four cases there are two males and two females, age range from 21 to 51 years old, and tumor size ranged from 1. 5 to 6. 5 cm in the greatest dimension. Histologically, these tumors were composed of varied spindle cells and chronic inflammatory cells, in a myxoid or hyalinized stroma. Occasionally, there were calcifica-tion and ossification areas. Most of the spindle cells had bland appearance and a minority of the tumor cells showed mild atypia. One to two mitotic figures were recognized in 10 high power fields ( HPFs) in 1 to 2 patients. Smooth muscle actin staining was observed in all tumors and ALK staining observed in two tumors. One tumor focally expressed CD34. S-100, desmin, CD68, CD117 and DOG1 was negative in all IMTs. The patients were followed up from 24 to 66 months, and none of them had tumor relapsed or metastasis. Conclu-sions Primary gastric IMTs have an intermediate behavior, and a few cases have malignant potential. It should be distinguished from other spindle cell lesions similar to IMT.

This article introduces definitions of three special tests, namely, non-inferiority test (to verify that the efficacy of the experimental drug is clinically not inferior to that of the positive control drug), equivalence test (to verify that the efficacy of the experimental drug is equivalent to that of the control drug) and superiority test (to verify that the efficacy of the experimental drug is superior to that of the control drug), and methods of sample size estimation under the three different conditions. By specific examples, the article introduces formulas of sample size estimation for the three special tests, and their SAS realization in detail.

This paper was aimed to explore the relationship between different commercial specification and chemical constituents on Radix Rehmanni,which provided experimental evidences for drawing up the commodity commercial specification and grading criteria of Radix Rehmanni.Several classified indexes,including grade,surface color,section color,section texture were carried to explore the change rules of chemical constituents by setting the contents of iridoid glycoside,sugars,water content,total ashes,acid-insoluble ashes and water extract as the markers.The results showed that the grade,surface color and section texture had less impact on chemical constituents.However,the section color had more influence.Along with the section color gradually being deepened,the contents of iridoid glycoside and oligosaccharides of Radix Rehmanni were lower,and the contents of monosaccharide and polysaccharide were higher.It was concluded that there was correlation between commercial specification and chemical constituents of Radix Rehmanni.

Objective To determine the concentration of blood serum visfatin and some iron metabolism‐related indicators:Ser‐um ferritin、hepcidin、serum transferring receptor(sTfR)level in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients and explore the inter‐rela‐tionship between blood serum visfatin and iron metabolism .Methods Eighty‐five patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus were selected and divided into 2 groups including 43 patients with normal weight (the normal weight of diabetic group , group B)and 42 obese patients (the obese diabetic group ,group D) .Meanwhile ,86 healthy examinees were selected and divided into 2 groups including 43 cases with normal weight (the control group ,group A)and 43 cases with obese (simple obesity group ,group C) .Serum visfatin ,ferritin ,hepcidin ,serum transferring receptor level and other clinical parameters of all groups were determined . Results Blood serum visfatin concentration was not found to be associated with ferritin ,hepcidin ,serum transferring receptor in all the groups(r=0 .111 ,P>0 .05) .Conclusion Blood serum visfatin may be not associated with ferritin ,hepcidin ,serum transferring receptor in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients .

Objective To investigate the limitation of quantitative measurement of cerebral blood flow (CBF) of normal white matter by using a single subtraction with thin-slice TI1 periodic saturation (Q2TIPS Ⅱ ) pulsed arterial spin labeling (PASL)technique. Methods Thirty-one patients with brain tumors were examined at 3.0 T MRI system . A second version of quantitative imaging of perfusion using a single subtraction with additional thin-section periodic saturation after inversion and a time delay (Q2TIPS) technique of pulsed arterial spin labeling in the multisection mode and T2* dynamic susceptibility-weighted contrast-enhanced (T2* DSC)MR imaging were both implemented. Cerebral blood flow map obtained from PASL and DSC were reviewed. The regions of interest( ROI )were placed in the region of normal white matter contralateral to the lesion in the proximal and distal slices. In regions of interest, the signal intensity (SI)was measured from the maps of cerebral blood flow map obtained from PASL and DSC. Pair-t test was performed to determine if there were significant signal differences between proximal and distal slices. Pearson linear correlation analysis of signal intensity was performed for values from the same slices of PASL-CBF and DSC-CBF maps. Results In the deep white matter of distal slice, PASL-CBF map showed perfusion deficit while DSC-CBF map showed low CBF in the corresponding brain area. With the increased inversion time,the PASL-CBF map showed obviously improved perfusion signal in deep white matter (but still some perfusion deficit)and slightly decreased perfusion signal in grey matter. The mean signal of normal white matter measured from distal slices of PASL-CBF maps was( -22.1 ±55.5) ml· 100 g-1 · min-1 while it was (89.5 ±45.5) ml. 100 g-1 · min-1 in proximal slices. There was a significant difference of signal intensity from PASL-CBF maps between distal and proximal slices ( t = - 9. 512, P ＜ 0. 01 ＝, while no difference of signal intensity between distal[ (62. 8 ± 29.9) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1] and proximal slices [(57. 1 ±29.6) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1 ]was obtained from DSC-CBF maps(t= -1.607,P＞0.05). There was no significant correlation between PASL-CBF and DSC-CBF in both distal ( r = 0. 093, P ＞ 0. 05 ) and proximal slices ( r = - 0. 234, P ＞ 0. 05). ConclusionsPASL has limitation in the accurate quantification of cerebral blood flow of normal white matter. The quantification of CBF was affected by the limitations of the technique itself and the different parameters chosen..

Objective This article aims to study the impact of cyclopamine,a Hedgehog signaling pathway inhibitor,on the proliferation and apoptosis of QBC939 cholangiocarcinoma cells.Methods The proliferation of QBC939 cells was detected with the MTT assay,and the apoptotic rate was analyzed with the flow cytometry assay.RT-PCR and Western blow were used to detect the expressions of tumor-related genes and proteins in QBC939 cells before and after cyclopamine treatment.Results Our results show that cyclopamine inhibited the growth of QBC939 cells in time and dose dependent manners.After a 5,10,or 20 μmol/L cyclopamine treatment for 48 hours,QBC939 cells showed increased apoptotic rates significantly higher than those in the control group (P＜0.01).Furthermore,cyclopamine down regulated the mRNA and protein levels of PTCH1,GLI1,and EGFR in QBC939 cells.Conclusion Therefore,blockage of the Hedgehog signaling pathway with cyclopamine could suppress the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of QBC939 cholangiocarcinoma cells.
