1.Analysis on Quantitative Differentiations of Diseases and Precision Treatments ofZhang Zhongjing
World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(10):2016-2019
This paper was aimed to summarize the concept of fuzzy mathematics inZhang Zhongjing’s Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases, in order to refine the accurate dialectical thinking ofZhang Zhongjing in aspects of the theory, method, prescription and medicine for the discussion of precision treatments byZhang Zhongjing. It was aimed to find a breakthrough point from evidence-based medicine (EBM) to precision medicine in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It also illustrated TCM by scientific theories. It provided evidences for the inheritance and promotion of TCM as well as methodological references for TCM research.

A novel type of carbon nanotube-coated Au nanoparticle and [bmim]BF4 composite modified glassy carbon electrode was fabricated by a layer-by-layer self-assembly technique. The electrochemical performance of acetaminophen (ACOP) on the modified electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The Nafion/GNPs/RTIL/MWNTs/GC electrode showed an excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of ACOP and accelerated electron transfer between the electrode and ACOP. For ACOP, the reversible electrochemical process was observed on the Nafion/GNPs/RTIL/MWNTs/GC electrode, while irreversible electrochemical process occurred on the GC electrode. For the Nafion/GNPs/RTIL/MWNTs/GC electrode, the anodic peak potential of ACOP was moved from 0.562 V to 0.413 V, with a potential drop of 149 mV. At the same time, the reduction peak potential was 0.384 V, and the potential difference was only 29 mV. It was shown that the modified electrode possessed higher electrocatalytic activity and more sensitive effect for the detection of ACOP than both MWNTs/GC electrode and GC electrode. The effects of the different experimental conditions on the electrochemical behaviors of ACOP were explored. Under the optimum conditions of preparation and experimental, the linear calibration curves of ACOP were obtained in a wide range of 2 x 10(-1) to 4.0 x 10(-4) mol x L(-1) with a correlation coefficient 0.999 2 and a detection limit of 2.6 x 10(-8) mol x L(-1) (the ratio of signal to noise, 3:1). The recovery rate was 97.9%-100.8%. This method can be used to determine ACOP in paracetamol tablets with satisfactory results.

Objective:
To enrich the gene mutation sites and accumulate treatment experience of congenital dyserythropoietic anemia (CDA) type Ⅱ by reporting one case of CDA patient with new mutation site of SEC23B and was successfully treated by homozygous allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) .
Methods:
The mutation within SEC23B gene in a child case with the reduced hemoglobin for more than 3 months, and his family were analyzed in combination with literatures review.
Results:
A 3-day 5-month female child was admitted due to "decreasing hemoglobin for more than 3 months" , blood routine test showed HGB 44 g/L, positive for acid hemolysis test (Ham test) . Bone marrow showed that the proportion of erythroid line was 69%, mainly middle and late juvenile erythrocytes, binuclear and odd nucleated erythrocytes could be observed, and nuclear fragmentation and nuclear budding could be seen occasionally in nucleated erythrocytes, transmission electron microscopy disclosed that bone marrow harbored the typical double-layer membrane structure of nuclear erythrocytes. There were two unreported new mutation sites in the SEC23B gene, including 1504 G>C/wt and c. 2254-2255 insert A/wt. The two mutations were derived from the father and mother of the child respectively. At the late stage, the child was successfully treated with allo-HSCT, the original mutation turned negative.
Conclusion
This study reported the mutation type of SEC23B gene insertion for the first time in China. Allo-HSCT could be utilized as a treatment for CDA.
