1.The study of correlative affecting factors on re-establishing stereopsis of surgically aligned adult concomitant strabismus
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2015;(11):1705-1707,1708
To analyze the effect of pre-surgical status on the post-surgical stereopsis in surgically aligned adult con-comitant strabismus.By using Titmus and Randot stereo tests,we measured near stereo acuity of 99 adults who had constant exotropia and were successfully aligned by surgery.A covariance analysis showed that the post-surgical stereo acuity was significantly determined by the type of strabismus (i.e.,whether that's intermittent or not;P =0.001),the duration of pre-surgical exotropia (P =0.002)and the year on-set (P =0.048)but not by the pre-surgical deviation (P =0.133).We conclude that the stereopsis of adult concomitant strabismus can be reestab-lished by surgery, while the extent of such an improvement is determined by the type of strabismus, the duration of pre-surgical exotropia and the year on-set of patients.

Objective:
To investigate the factors affecting human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination behaviors among gynecological outpatients based on extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2), so as to provide insights into the development of HPV vaccination behavioral interventions.
Methods:
Patients at ages of 45 years and younger that were admitted to the outpatient department of gynecological of Shanxi Provincial People's Hospital from October 2021 to August 2022 were recruited, and the factors affecting HPV vaccination behaviors were identified using UTAUT2.
Results:
A total of 431 female outpatients were enrolled, including 163 patients at ages of 36 to 45 years (37.82%), 272 cases with an educational level of college degree and above (63.11%) and 253 patients with per capita monthly household income of more than 3 000 Yuan (58.70%). The coverage of HPV vaccination was 24.36%, and the main cause of non-vaccination was difficulty in high-valent HPV vaccine appointment. Price value, social impact and efficacy expectation posed a positive impact on HPV vaccination behaviors via intention of vaccination (β=0.11, 0.08, 0.07, all P<0.05) and intention of vaccination and effort expectancy (β=0.10, 0.07, 0.06, all P<0.05), and effort expectancy played a mediating effect between intention of vaccination and vaccination behaviors (β=0.28, P<0.05).
Conclusion
Efficacy expectation, social impact, price value, intention of vaccination and effort expectancy may positively affect HPV vaccination behaviors.

China Pharmacy 2016;27(10):1318-1321
OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of catalpol on the activity and apoptosis of osteoclasts (OC) in the osteoblasts (OB)-OC co-culture system and its mechanism. METHODS:OB and OC were isolated respectively from the SD rats of 1-3 days and 5-7 days old to establish OB-OC co-culture system. After treated with 0(blank control),0.05,0.5,5,50 and 100 mg/L catal-pol for 48,72 and 96 h,the number of bone absorption lacuna for OC was observed by inverted microscope to reflect OC activity. After treated with 0(blank control)and 0.05 mg/L catalpol for 48,72 and 96 h,the activity of tartrate resistant acid phosphatase (TRACP)in OC was detected, and the apoptosis rate of OC was calculated. After treated with 0(blank control)and 0.05 mg/L ca-talpol,mRNA expression of osteoprotegerin(OPG)in OB was detected. RESULTS:In OB-OC co-culture system, the number of bone absorption lacuna in 0.05-50 mg/L catalpol groups was significantly lower than blank control group(P<0.01),indicating ca-talpol could inhibit OC activity, especially 0.05 mg/L catapol. Compared with blank control,0.05 mg/L catapol lowered the activity of TRACP but increased the apoptosis rate of OC(P<0.05);mRNA expression of OPG was up-regulated in OB(P<0.01). CON-CLUSIONS:In OB-OC co-culture system, catalpol can inhibit the activity of OC and induce the apoptosis of OC,and its mecha-nism may be associated with the mRNA expression up-regulation of OPG in OB.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1954;0(02):-
Objective To compare the thickness of the retina and its sublayers between young and elderly rats using a stereological method. Methods Six young(3 months old) and six elderly(2 year old) LongEvans rats were used in this study. The right eyeball was dissected from each rat and prepared as a set of serial sagittal sections and applied with HE staining. The sections and fields were sampled in the systematic random fashion and examined under a light microscope. The thickness of the whole retina and its 8 sublayers were identified and measured. Results Compared with that of the young rats, the thickness of the whole retina and most of the sublayers of the elderly rats were significantly decreased. The decrease was such so that the proportion of the thickness of each sublayer to that of the whole retina remained unchanged. Most interestingly, among the 8 sublayers of the retina, the thickness of the exterior plexus layer reduced nearly 46.2% during aging process. Conclusion Aging has a significant effect on the thickness of the rat retina.Such effect is better presented with the systematic random sampling method.
