Hospital TQM system is designed to fit China′s specifics, based on the Total Quality Management (TQM)theory and integrating the system theory concepts, comprising two structural modules of perceived quality and non-perceived quality. The former is a trinity framework made up of patient satisfaction, employee commitment and social reputation, while the latter is a management system featuring“Six pillars and six columns”,constituting a three-dimensional management for integrated operation and integration of the hospital.

Objective To evaluate the value of digital tomosynthesis (TOMOS)in diagnosis of odontogenic cystic lesions of the jaws with oral fixed metal dentures, and compared with multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT). Methods The imaging findings of 40 cases with fixed metal dentures pathologically proved odontogenic cystic lesions of the jaws jn retrospective were retrospectively analyzed. All cases were performed by MSCT and TOMOS scanning, and 13 cases enhanced at the same time. The characteristics of the imaging findings in TOMOS and MSCT were compared. The diagnosis merits and disadvantages, especially their ability to detect the lesions and adjacent structures, were assessed. Results There were no significant difference (consistency check Kappa value>0.4) in evaluating the structure characteristics of the lesions, the relationgship between the lesions and cortex ,and the relationship between the lesions and surrounding organs. TOMOS is superior to MSCT in displaying apical change, the same in pure cystic and cystic-solid lesions interfered by artifacts. However, it is inferior to MSCT in detection of soft tissue invasion. Conclusion There is similar assessment value of TOMOS and MSCT in displaying odontogenic cystic lesions of the jaws. TOMOS can be chosen when the imaging findings of the lesions are interfered by metal artifacts.

Objective To study the protective effect and mechanism of Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide on liver injury induced by isoniazid( INH) combined with rifampicin( RFP) in mice. Methods Forty-eight mice were randomly divided into six groups ( control, model, huganpian, Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide at low, middle, and high dose ) . The mice were administered orally with isoniazid and rifampicin simultaneously except the control. After 2 h,the control and model groups were administered with normal saline, and others were treated with huganpian and Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide, respectively, once a day for 2 weeks. The liver index and serum levels of ALT and AST,malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutathione peroxidase( GPx) were measured. Pathology examination of liver tissue was performed. Results The activities of ALT and AST, liver index, content of MDA in liver homogenate of mice treated with Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide and huganpian decreased obviously, while the liver SOD activity increased. Histopathological exzamination showed that Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide alleviated the degeneration and necrosis of hepatic cells. Conclusion Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide shows protective effects on mice with hepatic toxic injury induced by isoniazid and rifampicin, which maybe due to its antioxidation effect.

S. The migration of CNE-2Z cells was inhibited by chloride channel blockers (ATP, NPPB and tamoxifen), but the inhibitory effect of the blockers varied with cells at different stages. CONCLUSIONS: The migratory ability is associated with the cell cycle in CNE-2Z cells. Chloride channels play an important role in cell migration of CNE-2Z cells.

AIM: To clarify the role of Cl - in regulatory volume decrease (RVD) of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells (CNE-2Z).METHODS: Analysis of living cell images was used to detect the volume changes following exposure to hypotonic solution. Iron replacement and block of iron channels were also applied in the present study. RESULTS: Extracelluar hypotonic treatment made the cells swell and induced RVD. The RVD was correlated positively to the swelling in the range of 160-230 mOsmol/L. Substitution of gluconate for Cl - in perfusing solutions markedly increased RVD. Depletion of cellular Cl - abolished, and chloride channel blockers inhibited RVD. CONCLUSION: Cl - is the key iron to establish the RVD in CNE-2Z cells. Activation of Cl - channels and Cl - efflux are the major mechanisms of RVD.

AIM: The roles of Cl-channels in regulatory volume decrease (RVD), cell proliferation and cell cycle progression in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells (CNE-2Z) were investigated. METHODS: Image analysis of living cells was used to detect the volume changes following exposure to hypotonic solutions. Cell viability was determined by the trypan blue assay. MTT method was applied to detected cell proliferation. The effect of the blocker on the cell cycle distribution was monitored by the flow cytometry. RESULTS: 5-nitro-2-(3-phenylpropylamino) benzoic acid (NPPB) inhibited RVD and cell proliferation in a dose-dependent manner. NPPB at the concentration of 100 ?mol/L arrested cells in G 1 phase (G 1 population increased from 54% to 71% at 48 h after treatments), but did not significantly alter cell viability. CONCLUSION: Block of chloride channels suppressed cell proliferation by arresting cells in G 1 phase. The results suggest that activation of Cl-channels and RVD is necessary for facilitating cells to proceed to the S phase from G 1 phase and maintaining cell proliferation.

In traditional Chinese medicine herbs (TCM), including Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae (Danshen), Radix Puerariae Lobatae (Gegen), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), and Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong) are widely used for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and also often co-administered with Western drugs as a part of integrative medicine practice. Carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) plays a pivotal role in the metabolisms of pro-drugs. Since (S)-2-(2-(6-dimethylamino)-benzothiazole)-4,5-dihydro-thiazole-4-carboxylate (NLMe) has recently been identified by us as a selective CES1 bioluminescent sensor, we developed a rapid method using this substrate for the direct measurement of CES1 activity in rats. This bioluminescence assay was applied to determine CES1 activity in rat tissues after a two-week oral administration of each of the four herbs noted above. The results demonstrated the presence of CES1 enzyme in rat blood and all tested tissues with much higher enzyme activity in the blood, liver, kidney and heart than that in the small intestine, spleen, lung, pancreas, brain and stomach. In addition, the four herbs showed tissue-specific effects on rat CES1 expression. Based on the CES1 biodistribution and its changes after treatment in rats, the possibility that Danshen, Gegen and Danggui might alter CES1 ac-tivities in human blood and kidney should be considered. In summary, a selective and sensitive biolu-minescence assay was developed to rapidly evaluate CES1 activity and the effects of orally administered TCMs in rats.
10.Application of 4D flow in diagnosis of pediatric congenital heart disease
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2018;34(3):460-463
Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common congenital malformation.MRI plays an important role in evaluating postoperative cardiac function of CHD.The new technology of 4D flow can be used to encode phase flow coded cine based on 3 vertical dimensions at the same time.Meanwhile,4D flow can perform multi-parameter functional assessments of blood flow vector and peak flow velocity, also can visualize the structure and blood flow of the inner heart and the outer heart. The principle of 4D flow and its application in children with CHD were reviewed in this article.
