1.Study on the wake-promoting effects of taste stimulation care in comatose patients after traumatic brain injury
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(10):760-762
Objective To determine the effects of early taste stimulation care in comatose patients with severe traumatic brain injury (STBI). Methods Sixty patients with severe STBI who had been in coma for more than 6 hours and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) scored 5-8,were divided into two groups according to random digit table. The control group received conventional care, while the taste stimulation group received both conventional care and early taste stimulation intervention. They were assessed according to GCS at 10, 20 and 30 days after treatment. Results After the intervention, the GCS scores in the taste stimulation group were higher than those of the control group after 20 days (10.70±0.48 vs 8.65±0.58, t=2.714, P<0.05) and 30 days (11.70 ± 0.49 vs 9.60 ± 0.57, t=2.792, P<0.05). Conclusions Early taste stimulation care has a certain wake-promoting effect on comatose patients with STBI.

The system construction and work flow of automatic oral drug dispensing system(AODDS) in our hospital are introduced, its' advantages and disadvantages of the application are analyzed. After applying AODDS,drug dispensing speed and accuracy are significantly increased.AODDS is conducive to promote hospital pharmaceutical care and pharmacy quality administration. The application of AODDS in our hospital may be referred for other hospitals to select AODDS.
3.Establishment of QAMS Multi-component Quantitative Detection Method for Jieyu Anshen Granules and Construction of Comprehensive Quality Evaluation Model
Herald of Medicine 2024;43(11):1827-1832
Objective To establish a method for simultaneous determination of 13 components in Jieyu Anshen granules by quantitative analysis of multi components by single marker(QAMS),and to construct its comprehensive quality evaluation model. Methods The mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.1%phosphoric acid, the contents of regaloside C,regaloside E,regaloside B,gardenoside, geniposide, spinosin, jujuboside A,jujuboside B,saikosaponin a,saikosaponin d,bisdemethoxycurcumin, desmethoxycurcumin and curcumin in Jieyu Anshen granules were determined.Orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA)and entropy weight-technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution(EW-TOPSIS)methods were used for comprehensive quality evaluation. Results The methodological verification met the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. The orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA)showed that geniposide, yayoisaponin d,regaloside B,curcumin, spinosin and saikosaponin a were the main factors for the quality difference of Jieyu Anshen granules. The EW-TOPSIS method showed that the average values of Ci of 14 batches of samples were 0.284 9-0.640 7.Conclusion The established method can be used for the quality control and overall evaluation of Jieyu Anshen granules.

Brain signals refer to electrical signals or metabolic changes that occur as a consequence of brain cell activity.Among the various non-invasive measurement methods, electroencephalogram(EEG)stands out as a widely employed technique, providing valuable insights into brain patterns. The deviations observed in EEG reading serve as indicators of abnormal brain activity, which is associated with neurological diseases.Brain?computer interface(BCI)systems enable the direct extraction and transmission of information from the human brain, facilitating interaction with external devices.Notably, the emergence of artificial intelligence(AI)has had a profound impact on the enhancement of precision and accuracy in BCI technology, thereby broadening the scope of research in this field.AI techniques, encompassing machine learning(ML)and deep learning(DL)models, have demonstrated remarkable success in classifying and predicting various brain diseases. This comprehensive review investigates the application of AI in EEG-based brain disease diagnosis, highlighting advancements in AI algorithms.
5.Evaluation of Rational Application of Antibiotics in a Cancer Hospital in Tianjin in 2018-2021
Chinese Hospital Management 2024;44(3):84-88
Objective To investigate the use and application trend of antibiotics in a cancer hospital in Tianjin,so as to provide reference for the rational clinical use of antibiotics. Methods The related data of antibiotics in the hospital from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected, and the utilization rate, defined daily doses(DDDs)of drugs, antibiotics use density(AUD),defined daily cost(DDC)and ranking ratio(B/A)of antibiotics were statistically analyzed. Results In 2018-2021,the annual use of antibiotics, utilization rate of antibiotics and AUD showed a downward trend. The mean annual utilization rate of antibiotics was 22.42%,and the mean annual AUD was 26.79 DDDs/(100 person·d).The top three antibacterial drugs in terms of annual consumption and DDDs were cephalosporins, carbapenems and penicillins. The main antibacterial drugs at all levels were unrestricted. There were 6 antibacterial drugs with DDC>100.Voriconazole had the highest DDC.The B/A of ciprofloxacin sodium chloride, moxifloxacin tablets,Latoxefin sodium, moxifloxacin sodium chloride was close to or equal t0 1,indicating that the synchronization of these antibacterial drugs was good. Conclusion In 2018-2021,the selection and use of antibiotics in the cancer hospital in Tianjin was reasonable, and the clinical application indicators met the national standards.

Objective To investigate the mechanisms that mediate the neuroprotective effect of the intestinal microbial metabolite sodium butyrate(NaB)in a mouse model of Parkinson's disease(PD)via the gut-brain axis. Methods Thirty-nine 7-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were randomized equally into control group,PD model group, and NaB treatment group. In the latter two groups,PD models were established by intraperitoneal injection of 30 mg/kg 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)once daily for 5 consecutive days, and normal saline was injected in the control group. After modeling, the mice received daily gavage of NaB(300 mg/kg)or an equal volume of saline for 14 days.Behavioral tests were carried out to assess the changes in motor function of the mice, and Western blotting was performed to detect the expressions of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)and α-synuclein(α-syn)in the striatum and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB),tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α),interleukin 6(IL-6),and the tight junction proteins ZO-1,Occludin,and Claudinin the colon.HE staining was used to observe inflammatory cell infiltration in the colon of the mice.RNA sequencing analysis was performed to identify the differentially expressed genes in mouse colon tissues, and their expressions were verified using qRT-PCR and Western blotting. Results The mouse models of PD with NaB treatment showed significantly increased movement speed and pulling strength of the limbs with obviously upregulated expressions of TH,Occludin, and Claudin and downregulated expressions of α-syn,NF-κB,TNF-α,and IL-6(all P<0.05).HE staining showed that NaB treatment significantly ameliorated inflammatory cell infiltration in the colon of the PD mice.RNA sequencing suggested that Bmal1 gene probably mediated the neuroprotective effect of NaB in PD mice(P<0.05).Conclusion NaB can improve motor dysfunction, reduce dopaminergic neuron loss in the striatum, and ameliorate colonic inflammation in PD mice possibly through a mechanism involving Bmal1.
