Objective To investigate the effects of saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids on proliferation and autophagy of human lung cancer cells. Methods The lung cancer cells A549 were treated with stearic acid (saturated fatty acid) and doconexent (DHA, unsaturated fatty acid), respectively, in concentrations of 0, 30, 60, 120 and 240μmol/L. MTT test and cell clone formation assay were performed to detect the proliferation of A549 cells. The morphology of A549 autophagy was observed by confocal laser scanning microscopy after A549 cells were treated with stearic acid or DHA for 24 hours. Western blotting assay was used to detect the expression of autophagy-related protein after A549 cells were treated with stearic acid or DHA for 12, 24 and 36 hours, respectively. Results 30-240μmol/L stearic acid or DHA both inhibited the proliferation of A549 cells (P<0.05). Both stearic acid and DHA induced autophagy of A549 cells, meanwhile, down-regulated Phospho-mTOR (ser2481) and up-regulated LC3Ⅱ/LC3Ⅰ of A549 cells (P<0.05). Conclusions Both saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid can inhibit the proliferation and induce autophagy of lung cancer cells. The mechanisms of autophagy may be related to Phospho-mTOR (ser2481) signaling pathway.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the baseline data of outpatient clinical subjects with vertigo and study on the clinical characteristics of vertigo.
METHODThe questionnaires and clinical tests data of 3432 patients complained vertigo were retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTSAll the patients received interview and vestibular function test. These patients aged 4-89 years with an average age of (40 +/- 18.6) years. Among them 1513 (44.09%) were male and 1919 (55.91%) were female, with a male:female ratio of 1:1.27. Vertigo patients increased according to age and reached its peak in the 41-60 years among all patients. The incidence might increase along with the increase of education level in urban populations. The onset of vertigo might correlate with the careers but differed among different populations.
CONCLUSIONSVertigo attacks patients in all age spans, but vertigo is highly prevalent in the population aged 41-60 years. The onset of vertigo is related to many different factors.

Objective To evaluate the curative effect and feasibility of catheter-directed thrombolysis with urokinase for acute limb ischemia. Methods The clinical data of a total of 21 patients with acute limb ischemia, who were treated with infusion of urokinase through UniFuse thrombolytic catheter, were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical curative efficacy, prognosis and complications of catheter - directed thrombolysis (CDT) were summarized. Results In all patients, thrombolysis therapy was effective, the clinical symptoms were alleviated, and successful limb salvage was achieved. One patient died of cerebral hemorrhage due to renal decompensation. No other serious complications such as hemorrhage, hematoma or disability occurred. Conclusion Preliminary clinical study shows that CDT with urokinase is effective and safe for the treatment of acute limb ischemia. This therapy can help reduce unnecessary surgical procedures or stent implantation, and the risk of thrombolysis is controllable. (J Intervent Radiol, 2018, 27: 262-265)

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)on pain intensity, pain sensation and overall survival in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer. Methods:Clinical data of advanced pancreatic cancer patients treated by HIFU were collected from the patients enrolled during August 2020 to September 2022 at the second department for oncology of Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In this study,SPSS 26.0 software was used for the statistical analysis of NRS score and BPI score. The Kaplan-Meier survival analysis method was applied to calculate the median overall survival(OS)and then the survival curve was drawn. At the same time, the incidence of related adverse reactions during and after HIFU treatment was counted. Results:(1)Among the 45 patients,30 patients received HIFU combined with chemotherapy, and the other 15 patients only received HIFU.(2)Among the 45 patients,32 patients had pain relief after HIFU treatment, and the NRS score kept decreased across 1 week,2 weeks,3 weeks and 1 month after HIFU treatment(P<0.05).The pain sensation score of BPI scale also decreased correspondingly, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)The median OS of 45 patients was 11.1 months(95%Cl:9.30-1 2.90),of which 30 patients treated with HIFU combined chemotherapy had a median OS of 12.4 months(95%Cl:9.1 8-15.62),and 15 patients treated with HIFU only had a median OS of 4.6 months(95%Cl:1.11-8.10).(4)No serious adverse events were observed in all patients during and after HIFU treatment.Only 5 patients had asymptomatic mild elevation of blood amylase, and the incidence of mild adverse reactions was 11.1%. Conclusion:HIFU can effectively relieve pain and prolong the median survival time in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer.
