1.Abnormal expression of BRMS1 and Cx43 protein in thyroid cancer occurrence and progression
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;42(11):550-554
Objective:To investigate the protein expression levels of breast cancer metastasis suppressor 1 (BRMS1) and Con-nexin 43 (Cx43) in thyroid cancer and their correlation with clinicopathologic parameters. Methods:Immunohistochemistry Streptavi-din-Peroxidase method was used to detect the BRMS1 and Cx43 protein expression in 195 tissue samples, including 90 cases with thy-roid carcinoma, 45 cases with thyroid adenoma, 30 cases with nodular goiter, and 30 cases with normal thyroid glands. Results:The positive rates of BRMS1 and Cx43 expression was 56.7%(51/90) and 41.1%(37/90) in thyroid carcinoma, respectively, which are sig-nificantly lower than the rates in thyroid adenoma, nodular goiter, and normal thyroid gland tissues (P<0.001). Of the three pathological types of thyroid cancer, the positive expression rate of Cx43 was 61.9%in papillary carcinoma, 27.8%in medullary carcinoma, 27.3%in follicular carcinoma, and 12.5%in undifferentiated carcinoma. Statistical differences in the BRMS1 expression among papillary car-cinoma and the other pathological types were also noted. Unlike the patients without lymph node metastasis, the positive expression of BRMS1 and Cx43 proteins were both significantly low among patients suffering from nodal metastasis. Subgroup analysis shows that the positive expression of BRMS1 and Cx43 protein gradually decreased with TNM staging. In addition, a positive correlation was ob-served between the BRMS1 and Cx43 protein expression (r=0.494, P=0.032). Conclusion:The decreased expression of BRMS1 and Cx43 proteins is significantly correlated with the metastasis of thyroid cancer and malignant grade. The combined detection of the two proteins can be ideal biomarkers for judging the prognosis of thyroid carcinoma.

Objective To study the release of synthetic gene expression induced by vasopressin Ⅱ (U Ⅱ ) in hypoxic pulmonary hypertension. Methods Rat model of HPH was establish. RIA was used to observe the different time points of hypoxia in plasma and the dynamic changes of U Ⅱ , ADM content in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). The impact of the release of U Ⅱ , as well as the relation-ship among U Ⅱ , ADM and HPH were explored to reveal the role of U Ⅱ in the pathophysiology of HPH. Results Rat HPH model was successfully established. Hypoxia promoted the expression, synthesis and release of U Ⅱ in lung tissue. U Ⅱ involved in the pathogenesis of HPH. HPH took place in the development of U Ⅱand was positive correlated with ADM. Conclusion The two peptides have opposite physiological effects on blood vessel, which suggest that these two peptides play an important role in maintaining the balance between the pul-monary circulation and lung ventilation as well as the stability of pulmonary artery pressure.

8.Distribution of Alkone,Alcohol and Ketone of Indoor Air in Some Apartments in Hangzhou
Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To explore the distribution of alkane, alcohol and ketone in indoor air of some apartments in Hangzhou. Methods 55 air samples were randomly collected from 31 apartments in Hangzhou by Carbotrap 300 air-sampling tube, during October-December, 2002, and April-May, 2003, then the volatile organic compounds in air samples were determined by heat-desorption GC-MS. Results 41 kinds of alkane, 11 kinds of alcohol and 9 kinds of ketone were found in air samples collected from 31 apartments in Hangzhou, average concentration of total alkane was 24.096 7 ?g/m3, average concentration of total alcohol was 3.670 7 ?g/m3, and average concentration of total ketone was 33.492 4 ?g/m3 respectively. The dominant indoor air pollutants were hexane, heptane, octane, nonane, decane, undecane, dimethylbutane, methylhexane, n-butanol, cyclohexanone, propanone, 2-butanone. The concentrations of alkane, alcohol and ketone in indoor air of apartments decreased with the time went on after the house decoration finished on the whole. 10 of 14 alkanes showed positive correlation to the temperature, 6 of them to the relative humidity at the sampling points. 2 of 11 alcohols and 3 of 9 ketones showed positive correlation to the relative humidity at sampling points. Conclusion The increasing temperature is the important factor for the release of alkanes in indoor air. The increasing relative humidity is the influence factor for the release of alcohols, ketones, and some alkanes in indoor air.
