1.Protective effect of Minocycline on photoreceptor cell in retinal pigmentary degeneration mice

Objective To observe the effect of Minocycline on RP process of retinal pigmentarydegeneration rd mice[C3H/HeN(Pde6brd-/rd-)]. Methods 40 rd mice were divided into ten groupsrandomly:5 experimental groups and 5 control groups,4 rd mice in each group.The experimental groupreceived intraperitoneal injection of minocycline 22.5mg/kg while the control group received saline 10ml/k2 every day from the posmatal day 1(P1).Mice were sacrificed at P1,P7,P14,P21 and P28respectively.Eyeballs were enucleated to carry out histology observation and apoptosis cell detection.Meanwhile,to statistically analyze the number of retinal photoreceptor cells,the thickness of outer nuclearlayer(ONL)and the number of apoptosis cells. Results (1)Photoreceptor cell began to apoptosis onP7,peaked on P14,and totally disappeared on P28.(2)No statistically significant differences were foundof the number of photoreceptor cells and the thickness of ONL on P7 between the experimental group andthe control group.(3)The number of photoreceptor cells and the thickness of ONL in the experimentalwere more than that in the control group at P14,P21,P28 respectively,the differences are statisticallysignificant(P<0.05).(4)The apoptotic cells on ONL were less in the experimental group than that in thecontrol group on P7 and P14 respectively,the difference are statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Minocycline appears to protect photoreceptor cell from apoptosis in the early stage of theretinal degeneration mice,but it may not completely prevent RP from occurrence.
2.Empathy deficiency and its influencing factors of patients with schizophrenia

Objective To investigate the features of empathy deficiency of the patients with schizophrenia, and to analyze the relationship between empathy ability, clinical symptoms, and social function.Methods The patients with first-episode schizophrenia (n=30)and the normal controls (n=30)were selected.Interpersonal Reactivity Index-C(IRI-C),Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS),and the Scale of Social Function in Psychosis Inpatients (SSPI )were used to measure the score of empathy, mental symptoms and the social ability;the total score of empathy and the scores of four scales in two groups were compared;the relationships between the empathy ability score and clinical symptom score,social function score in patients group were analyzed.Results The IRI-C score of the patients in schizophrenia patients group was lower than that in normal control group (P<0.05).The schizophrenia patients with higher PANSS negative syndromes had the lower IRI-C score, and serious empathy deficiency;there was negative correlation between empathy ability and PANSS negative syndrome in schizophrenia patients group(r=-0.572,P<0.01);the IRI-C score wasn’t correlated with SSPI score(r=0.166,P>0.05) in schizophrenia patients group. Conclusion The first-episode schizophrenia patients have empathy deficiency, which is affected by the negative syndromes. The more severe negative symptoms of the patients are,the worse empathy ability is.
3.Influence of administration of dexmedetomidine before uterectomy in stress and immunologic function in patients

Objective To explore the effect of dexmedetomidine on the stress and immunologic function in the patients undergoing uterectomy,and to provide an evidence for the medication in clinical anesthesia.Methods A total of 60 hysteromyoma patients who needed uterectomy were selected.All the patients were in ASAⅠ-Ⅱlevel. The patients were divided into observation group (n=30)and control group (n=30)according to administration of different types of drugs. Before anesthesia, the patients in observation group were given dexmedetomidine (l μg·kg-1 )with a concentration of 4 g· L-1 for 10 min,while the patients in control group were given equal normal saline.The induction was performed 10 min after infusion pump.Sevoflurane and fentanyl were used for maintaining during the anesthesia.The blood samples of the patients in two groups before entering the operation room (T0),2 h after operation (T1),and extubation after operation (T2)were collected.The serum cortisol (COR)and interleukin-2 (IL-2)concentrations,plasma T lymphocyte subpopulations and NK levels were detected. Results The differences of COR and IL-2 concentrations at T0 between two groups were not statistically significant (P >0.05).The COR concentrations at T2 in two groups were significantly higher than those at T0 (P <0.05). The COR concentration at T2 in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group (P <0.05). The serum IL-2 concentration was gradually decreased with the prolongation of time observation in two groups.The serum IL-2 concentration in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (P <0.05).The differences of CD3+ ,CD4+ ,CD8+ ,CD4+/ CD8+ ,and NK levels at T0 between two groups were not statistically significant (P >0.05).The differences of CD8+ level in each time point between two groups were not statistically significant (P > 0.05).The CD3+ ,CD4+ ,CD4+/ CD8+ , and NK levels at T1 and T2 in control group were significantly lower than those at T0 (P < 0.05 ). The CD3+ , CD4+ , CD4+/ CD8+ , and NK levels at T2 in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P <0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine assisting anesthesia can alleviate the postoperative stress reaction,and reduce the effect of anesthesia and operation wound on the cellular immune function.It is beneficial for the postoperative rehabilitation.
4.Study of classification of traditional Chinese medicine datasets based on the business domain

TCM informatization has accelerated its development in the period of rapid development of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industry. Thus, it is important that to classify the TCM industry management datasets on the business domain, as the business domain of TCM datasets are increasingly rich. The study is to analyses the information flow in business domain of TCM industry management datasets, based on the research of experts. The combination of facet and line classification was applied for the classification and then TCM industry management data resources were divided into eight business domains to compile the“Classification code table of TCM industry management datasets on the business domains”. The results of this study helped exchange basic information among hospitals, universities, research institutes, enterprises, cultural industries, Chinese medical research centers, general administration and other institutions. Besides, it can also help provide the reference to the strategic decisions in TCM and health services.
5.Measurement of bone metabolism markers and changes of bone mineral density in patients with bone and joint disease and fractures in perioperative period

BACKGROUND:The bone mineral density is a static parameter that reflects the bone mass in a relatively long time. If you want to know the dynamic changes of bone metabolism, bone metabolism markers should be evaluated.
OBJECTIVE:To explore changes of bone metabolism markers and bone mineral density during perioperative period in patients with spine and joint degeneration and osteoporotic fractures.
METHODS:We retrieved PubMed and Wanfang database for articles published from 2005 to 2016. The key words were“bone metabolic markers, bone mineral density, serum, urine”. Twenty-nine articles were analyzed according to inclusion and exclusion criteria.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At present, bone formation markers commonly used in clinic mainly included bone alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin, procol agen type I N-terminal peptide, and procol agen type I C-terminal peptide. Bone resorption markers included tartrate resistant acid phosphatase, col agen type I N-terminal telopeptide, col agen type I C-terminal telopeptide, deoxidation pyridinoline, pyridinoline, and hydroxyproline. Bone mineral density had little change, and bone resorption markers were elevated in patients with spine and joint degeneration and osteoporotic fractures, indicating active resorption. Increased bone formation markers in patients with fracture during perioperative period suggested that new bone formed in perioperative period of fracture. In the perioperative period, bone formation markers reduced and bone formation was inhibited in patients with bone degeneration. Increased bone resorption is more obvious in perioperative period in patients with bone and joint disease and fractures, which probably further aggravated the degree of osteoporosis, and should be treated by regular anti-osteoporosis therapy.
6.Mutual regulation between miRNA and DNA methylation in gastric cancer

Epigenetic modification plays an important role in the development and prognosis of gastric cancer.MicroRNA (miRNA) and DNA methylation are two important epigenetic control mechanisms.MiRNA inhibits the translation of target messenger RNA (mRNA),and is involved in post-transcriptional regulation.Abnormal methylation of promoter CpG island is closely related with the tumorigenesis,which can lead to abnormal expression of cancer gene,tumor-suppressor gene or other tumor-related gene.The mutual regulation between miRNA and DNA methylation plays an important role in gastric cancer,and the regulation network provides a new direction for the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer.
7.Cytoskeletal vimentin protein expression in rats with exhaustive eccentric exercise injury

BACKGROUND:Due to different experimental methods, the change of cytoskeleton proteins after centrifugal movement is stil controversial.
OBJECTIVE:To establish exhaustive eccentric exercise injury model in rats and to observe cytoskeletal vimentin protein expression at different time.
METHODS:A total of 48 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly and equal y divided into six groups:quiet control group, immediately after exercise group, and 12, 24, 48, 72 hours after exercise groups. In the exercise groups, the rats were subject treadmil exercise at the speed of 16 m/min in a-16° slope, for 100 minutes at the interval of 5 minutes. The quiet control group maintained unchanged, without exercise. The cytoskeletal vimentin was detected with immunohistochemical staining using anti-vimentin antibody, and vimentin expression changes were observed at different time after exhaustive eccentric exercise through the changes of target area percentage.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The results of target area percentage showed that, there was no significant difference between quiet control group and immediately after exercise group (P>0.05). Compared with the immediately after exercise group, the target area percentage was slightly increased in 12 hours after exercise group, without significant difference (P>0.05). Compared with the 12 hours after exercise group, the target area percentage was also slightly increased in 24 hours after exercise group, without significant difference (P>0.05). Compared with quiet control group and immediately after exercise group, the target area percentage was increased in 24 hours exercise group (P<0.05). Compared with immediately and 12 hours after exercise groups, the target area percentage was increased significantly in 48 hours after exercise group (P<0.01). Compared with 48 hours after exercise group, the target area percentage began to decline in 72 hours after exercise group (P<0.05), which was higher than quiet control level. After exhaustive eccentric exercise, cytoskeletal vimentin begin to express at varying degrees. The vimentin expression is increased gradual y at 12 hours and reached the peak at 48 hours, then begins to decrease.
8.Progress of photodynamic therapy combined with anti - VEGF for patients with choroidal neovascularization

Choroidal neovascularization( CNV) is a common severe complication of ocular fundus diseases, with great potentiality to cause blindness. The treatments of CNV include photodynamic therapy ( PDT ) and anti-vascular endothelial growth factor( VEGF) therapy. However, PDT produces little visual benefits, and may result in ischemia, inflammatory responses, even the secondary expressions of VEGF. Anti-VEGF therapy sustained visual efficiency by repeated injections, causing economic burden and adverse effects related to injection. Recently, PDT combined with anti-VEGF therapy has progressed in laboratory and clinical research. Therefore, the combined modality therapy became one of the treatment options for CNV. In order to reduce the side effects of mono -therapy, further study is required to determine appropriate combinations and dosage.
9.The application of the project-integrated teaching method in the teaching of optometry special examination techniques

Objective To explore a new project-integrated teaching method and evaluate its effect in the course of optometry special examination techniques. Methods Class Three of Optometry 2011 was chosen as experimental group and used the new project integrated teaching method while Class Four was chosen as control group and used traditional teaching method , both class having 30 students. After the end of the course the students of both class were assessed the theoretical knowledge and operating skills of the same standard. The self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate stu-dents' self evaluation of the teaching effect. After students of both groups practiced in the same depart-ment of ophthalmology optometry clinic special inspection post for half a year, teachers' evaluation of the students' training performance was collected. Final examination scores, experimental examination scores and the teachers' evaluation scores of the two groups were compared by t-test respectively and the self-assessment results of the students of both groups were compared by chi-square test. Results The final examination and experimental examination scores of the experimental group were both higher than those of the control group significantly(P=0.001,0.002 respectively). The experimental group students had a significantly better self-assessment than the control group in learning interest ( P=0.007), understanding(P=0.046), self-learning ability(P=0.000), summary ability(P=0.009), ana-lytical ability(P=0.000) and innovation ability(P=0.000). The clinical teachers' evaluations of the ex-perimental group were better than the control group. The differences were statistically significant in standardization of practice, application ability, examination report reading ability and case analytical ability(P=0.000). Conclusion The project-integrated teaching method can help to improve the students' leaning motivation and cultivate students' autonomous learning ability and comprehensive analysis capa-bility and so on, which is helpful to reaching a good teaching effect and ensuring the teaching quality.
