2.Progression of molecular genetics in Ph-like acute lymphoblastic leukemia: reports from the 56th American Society of Hematology annual meeting
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2015;24(2):74-78
The event free survival and overall survival rate of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)have been improved significantly based on the risk stratify diagnosis and treatment. But there are still some patients suffering therapeutic failure and relapse. With the great development of genome sequencing technology, more and more genetic aberrations behind the refractory and relapse ALL have been identified.Ph-like ALL is charactered with gene expression profile similar to that of BCR-ABL1 positive ALL,involving abnormal activation of cytokine receptor and tyrosine kinase. It has been proved that treatment combined with Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) can significantly improve the poor prognosis.Ph-like ALL is one of hot topics during the 56th American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual meeting in 2014.Progression in molecular genetics for Ph-like ALL will be introduced together with the author' s research experience.

5.Effects of lumbar epidural anesthesia on cell apoptosis in rat kidneys with ischemia-reperfusion injury
Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(7):981-985
Objective To investigate the influence of lumbar epidural anesthesia on cell apoptosis in rat kidneys with ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods Thirty male Wistar rats were divided into three groups at random, including a sham-operated group,a model group, and an anesthesia group. Then the local norepinephrine, local angiotensin Ⅱ,plasma superoxide dismutase, plasma malondialdehyde and cell apoptosis index were observed at the 24 h after the reperfusion in rat kidneys of ischemia 60 min. Results Compared to the sham-operated group,ischemia-reperfusion of kidney caused a significant increase in contents of local norepinephrine, local angiotensin Ⅱ],and malondialdehyde in the model group and anesthesia group as well as increasing in the cell apoptosis index (P < 0.05),and those parameters above were lower in the anesthesia group than those in the model group (P <0.05).Meanwhile,the activities of plasma superoxide were higher than those in model group (P < 0.05).Conclusions The lumbar epidural anesthesia can reduce the excessive accumulation of neuroendocrine hormone in kidney, alleviate oxidative stress, which plays an important role in restraining the ischemia-reperfusion injury and cell apoptosis.
6.Study of critical thinking status and its influence factors of medical students
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2017;16(2):209-213
Objective To understand the status and related influencing factors of critical thinking of medical students, so as to provide recommendations for the training methods of critical thinking of medical students. Methods A total of 380 medical students in third and fourth grade of a medical university were investigated by using the California Critical Thinking Tendency Questionnaire and stratified random sam-pling method. 356 valid questionnaires were recovered. SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis, including t-test, analysis of variance and multiple linear regression analysis and other methods. Results The Cronbach'sαcoefficient of the scale was 0.728, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 68.43%. The average score of positive critical thinking ability of medical students was 196.02, showing that they had positive thinking ability. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the degree of extracurricular read-ing, whether there was a part-time job, and the students' self-study time per week had positive correlation with the critical thinking of medical students (P<0.05). Conclusion The critical thinking ability of medical students needs to be improved and the factors of critical thinking need to be further studied, and the research and practice of cultivating medical students' critical thinking ability must be deepened.
7.The eosinophilic otitis media's research progress.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(17):1577-1580
The eosinophilic otitis media(EOM) is an intractable disease characterized by the presence of a highly viscous yellow effusion with extensive accumulation of eosinophils in the middle ear; granulation tissue can been discovered in the middle ear cavity; most of patients have association with bronchial asthma; resist to conventional treatment for otitis media; EOM patients show gradual deterioration of hearing and sometimes become deaf suddenly; effective treatment involves use of topical and oral steroids. This article summarizes the progress of the EOM's diagnosis and treatment.

8.Influence of Operative Stress on Serum Levels of Adrenocorticotrophic Hormone,Cortisol,Atrial Natriuetic Peptide, and Interleukin-6 in Children with Abdominal Neoplasms after Operation
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(23):-
Objective To investigate the regularity and clinical significance of cortisol(Cor),adrenocorticotrophic hormone(ACTH),atrial natriuetic peptide(ANP) and interleukin-6(IL-6) changes before and after operation stress. Methods The ACTH,Cor,ANP and IL-6 levels in 18 children with abdominal neoplasms(12 male and 6 female,8 cases with sacrococcygeal teratoma,5 cases with hepatoblastoma, and 5 cases with nephroblastoma) were measured before and after operation(24 hours before operation;4,24,48,and 72 hours after operation).Eighteen children were divided into the study group and the control group. The children in the former group were accompanied with stress ulcer, intestinal obstruction and infection shock or even death after operations, while the children in the later group recovered without any complication. The ACTH,Cor,ANP in serum were measured by radioactive immune analysis(RIA) assay, and serum IL-6 level were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results In 2 groups, serum levels of ACTH,Cor,ANP,IL-6 increased significantly 4 h after operation. The changes in ACTH and ANP were similar in 2 groups.Cor in the control group reached its peak 24 h after operation, and then decreased gradually to the pre-operation levels 72 h after operation;IL-6 reached its peak 4 h after operation, and then decreased slowly. It was still at a high level in 48 h after operation, and then decreased to pre-operation levels 72 h after operation. But serum Cor,IL-6 in the study group slightly increased 24 h after operation, and were apparently higher than those in the control group(Pa

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(37):6003-6007
BACKGROUND:After co-culture with osteoblasts, bone marrow stem cells can be induced to differentiate into osteoblasts. Whether adipose-derived stem cells co-cultured with osteoblasts can differentiate into osteoblasts or not? OBJECTIVE:To observe whether adipose-derived stem cells co-cultured with osteoblasts can differentiate into osteoblasts. METHODS:Adipose-derived stem cells and osteoblasts were isolated from New Zealand white rabbits. Then, passage 3 adipose-derived stem cells were co-cultured with passage 2 osteoblasts in 10%or 5%fetal bovine serum for 14 days. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After 7 days of co-culture, some adipose-derived stem cells became round in the two groups. After 14 days of co-culture, adipose-derived stem cells highly differentiated and differentiated cells were similar to mature osteoblasts that were positive for alkaline phosphatase staining and alizarin red staining. The mRNA expression of type I col agen and osteocalcin increased in both two group, especial y in the 10%fetal bovine serum group. These findings indicate that adipose-derived stem cells co-cultured with osteoblasts can differentiate into osteoblasts induced by high-concentration serum culture.
