Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1996;0(07):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of stellate ganglion block ( SGB) in the treatment of ischemic optic neuropathy ( ION ) as compared with that of steroids. Methods Eighty-two eyes were involved in seventy patients with ION. The patients were randomly assigned to receive either steroids (dexamethason 15 mg iv q.d. for 5-10 days followed by peroral prednisone 20 mg q.d.) ( n = 34, 38 eyes) or ipsilateral SGB (2% lidocaine 2-3 ml q.d. 10-15 days) ( n = 36, 44 eyes). The criteria for judging the efficacy of the treatment were changes in visual acuity, ocular fundus, visual field and visual evoked potential (VEP) . The effectiveness of the treatment was divided into four grades : excellent, good, improved and no effect. Results In steroid group the results of treatment were rated as excellent for 10, good for 12, improved for 3 and no effect for 13 eyes (the overall success rate was 65.8%), while in SGB group the results were rated as excellent for 15, good for 14, improved for 5 and no effect for 10 eyes ( the overall success rate was 77.3 % ). In patients who were successfully treated, the visual acuity improved, the pale edema of optic papilla was disappearing and the color and blood vessels of retina were returning to normal. The latent time of VEP P100 was significantly shortened and the amplitude increased in both groups. Conclusion SGB is a safe, reliable and effective method of treatment for ION.

Objective To investigate the relationship between molecular biological markers and recombinant human endostatin targeted therapy in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods 68 cases patients with non-small-cell lung cancer to meet the requirements were randomly divided into group A (n=34)and group B (n=34).Group A received docetaxel and cisplatin(DP)and gefitinib;group B received recombinant human endostatin on the base of group A.The biological markers species, such as,EGFR,KRAS,VEGF,BRCA1,EML4-ALK,ERCC1,β-tubulin and CD3 were detected by immunohistochemical. The types of population for different programs were summarized according to the expression of biological markers and progression free survival (PFS)of the two groups. Results Group B median PFS was significantly longer than that in group A;no matter low or high expression of VEGF and BRCA1,group B median PFS was significantly longer than that in group A(P<0.05);high expression of ERCC1,KRAS,EML4-ALK andβ-tubulin,group B median PFS was significantly longer than that in group A(P<0.05);low expression of EGFR and CD3,group B median PFS was significantly longer than that in group A (P<0.05 ).Conclusion No matter low or high expression of VEGF and BRCA1 ,low expression of KRAS, ERCC1,EML4-ALK and β-tubulin and high expression of EGFR and CD3 in patients with non-small cell lung cancer may be more sensitive to the treatment of DP and gefitinib combined with recombinant human endostatin.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To study the effect of omethoate on the activity of characteristic enzymes in mouse testicles and the antagonism of teapolyphenol. Methods 80 Kunming male mice were divided into 8 groups, omethoate was given by gavage: the control group given 0.9% NaCl solution, a group given teapolyphenol of 180 mg/kg bw, three groups given omethoate of 1, 2 and 4 mg/kg bw respectively, three groups given teapolyphenol of 180 mg/kg bw and two hours later followed by omethoate of 1, 2 and 4 mg/kg bw respectively. The gavages were conducted for 6 consecutive days. The activities of the characteristic enzymes (AKP, ACP, LDH and LDH-x) in mouse testicles were measured by biochemistry method and variance analysis was done with the SPSS 11.0 software. Results As omethoate dose increased, the body weight and the testicle weight decreased obviously, the activities of AKP, ACP, LDH in mouse testicles significantly increased compared with the control. Given teapolyphenol 2 hours before given omethoate, the significant changes as above did not emerged. Conclusion Teapolyphenol has an antagonism against the adverse effects of omethoate on the activity of characteristic enzymes in mouse testicles.

500 mg,frequency was reduced in rats treated with tamsulosin (P500 mg,and the combined ?1a/?1dAR antagonist tamsulosin reduces urinary frequency more than the ?1aAR selective antagonist 5MU.This finding supports the hypothesis that the ?1dAR is important in mediating irritative symptoms.

Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy 2001;0(01):-
Objective To evaluate the relationship between Helicobac ter pylori (Hp) related gastritis and gastric mucosa content of interleukin - 8 (IL-8) and granuloeyte colony-stimulating factor ( G-CSF). Methods ELISA was used to detect the amount of IL-8 and G-CSF in supernate fluid of gastromucosal tissue culture from 60 patients, and to examine the difference between Hp infected and non-Hp infected cases. These 60 cases include normal gastric mucosa (n =20) , chronic gastritis mucosa (n = 14) , gastric ulcer mucosa (n = 13) , duodenal ulcer mucosa ( n = 13 ). Results The amounts of IL-8 and G-CSF in cases with Hp infection were significantly higher than those without infection (P

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of detecting K ras gene codon 12 mutations in cytologic specimens by endoscopic pancreatic duct brushing for pancreatic cancer. Methods Thirty five patients at Changhai hospital between 1999 and 2001 were enrolled. Cells from pancreatic duct burshings during ERCP were suspended with PBS. DNA of the cells was extracted and K ras gene codon 12 mutations were detected by means of PCR SSCP. Results K ras gene mutation rate of pancreatic cancer was 70%, which was higher than that of chronic pancreatitis (14%, P

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1994;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the feasibility of establishing tumor model of MDR in rabbit liver with VX2 tumor induced by adriamycin. Methods 20 white rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups with 5 for each. Liver tumor was established with VX2 tissue together with or without MDR-induced for their formations. VX2 tumor without MDR-induced was included in group A and B ,while MDR-induced tumor was employed in groupe C and D. Contrast enhanced CT was performed three weeks later to assess the volume of tumors. 4 mg adriamycin (dilute with 2ml of saline) was infused in group A and C via the common herpatic artery directly and respectirely; whereas same amount of saline adminisfrated through the same way for group B and D. Follow up CT was performed one week later to assess the change of tumor. Apoptosis rate was analized for each group by means of flow cytometry (FCM). Results No significant difference was found between the 4 groups three weeks after the establishment in term of tumor volume. Follow up CT performed 1 week after the treatment showed the volume increase of tumor for all groups. Group A was significantly lower than the other three groups in tumor growth rate (P0.05). The apoptosis rate of group A detected by FCM was significantly higher than the other three groups(P0.05). Conclusion Implanted liver tumor with VX2 induced by, adriamycin in tumor carrying rabbits possesses the character of drug resistance, which is profitable to be a liver tumor model of MDR for the therapeutic trial.
