1.Application Analysis of Antitumor Chinese Herbal Injections of 32 Hospitals in Wuhan Area During 2010-2012

Objective: To investigate the current situation of consumption and development tendency of antitumor Chinese herbal injections in Wuhan area. Methods:The analytical method of the defined daily dose ( DDD) recommended by WHO was used to ana-lyze the application of antitumor Chinese herbal injections in 32 hospitals of Wuhan area during the period of 2010-2012. Results:The consumption sum and the DDDs of antitumor Chinese herbal injections were increased year after year, while the daily drug cost ( DDC) was stable in general. The sort of consumption was generally in accordance with the sequence of DDDs. Conclusion:The status quo of antitumor Chinese herbal injections during the period of 2010-2012 is in line with the characteristics of clinical application, indicating the use is rational.

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of the method of clearing lung and descending stomach and its mechanism on gastroesophageal reflux cough(GERC).Method:125 cases of GERC were divided randomly into the treatment group(n=65) treated by the therapy of clearing lung and descending stomach(with a self-designed decoction) and the control group(n=60) treated with Omeprazole and Domperidone,and they were all treated for 12 weeks.Results:The total effective rate was 92.3% in the treatment group and 78.3% in the control group,with a significant difference between the two groups(P
3.Hypoxia stimulates vascular endothelial growth factor production in human renal flbroblasts

Objective To investigate the effect of hypoxia on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression and secretion in human renal fibroblasts. Methods Human renal fibroblasts were primary cultured from donor kidney, and cells in passage 3 were used in this experiment. Hypoxia was induced by incubation in a gas-tight box gassed with 10% CO2/10% H2/80% N2 for 24 hours. VEGF mRNA levels were measured by semi-quantitative RT-PCR method. VEGF proteins expressed on cell surface were measured by flow cytometry. VEGF proteins secreted into supernatants were measured by ELISA method. Results Hypoxia caused a 2. 5-fold increase of VEGF mRNA level in human renal fibroblasts. 4.Application of barcode technology in the precision management of medical equipment asset

Objective:To promote the application of barcode technology and establish comprehensive barcode management platform for medical equipment in order to achieve precise management of medical equipment just like ID.Methods: Combined with information management of barcode was effectively applied to the medical equipment asset; analyzed the underlying application of barcode technology in the field of equipment asset management; finally, to clarify the application effect of barcode technology in precise equipment asset management.Results: The application of barcode technology has realized dynamic management for the whole life cycle of medical equipment, and effectively improved management method and efficiency of hospital medical equipment asset.Conclusion:Through informatization to support precise management for medical equipment, and this method can form more scientific and technological barcode technology management mode for medical equipment asset. This mode can reduce the workload and difficulty for routine equipment asset management, enhance the precise management level for equipment asset, and provide a powerful technical guarantee for the reasonable and effective integration of hospital equipment assets.
5.Expression of nm23-H1 gene in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its relationship with metastasis to neck lymph nodes

Objective:To investigate the variation of nm23-H1 gene structure and its expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and to study the relationship between nm23-H1 expression and OSCC metastasis to neck lymph nodes.Methods:nm23-H1 gene in the samples of 30 cases of OSCC,7 of normal oral mucous tissue,human OSCC cell line TSCCa and human oral metastatic cancer cell line GNM was extracted and amplified by PCR. PCR products were investegated with SSCP analysis;nm23 m RNA level in the samples was studied by in situ hybridization.The relationship between mRNA expression and metastasis to neck lymph nodes was analyzed statistically.Results: All samples showed no change in nm23-H1 gene structure except deletion in one case of OSCC;7 out of 9 cases with metastasis to neck lymph nodes showed no hybridization signal of nm23-H1 mRNA,however,only 5 were found no nm23-H1 mRNA in 21 cases without metastasis,positive rate of nm23-H1 expression in GNM cells was lower than that in TSCCa (41.2% versus 63.1%);The expression of nm23-H1 gene showed significant negative relationship with neck lymph nodes metastasis (P<0.01);no relationship was found between expression of nm23-H1 gene and cancer pathological classification.Conclusion:The change of nm23-H1 expression doesn't result from the variation of gene structure;the product of nm23-H1 gene probably inhibit OSCC metastasis to neck lymph nodes.

9.Effect of opioid switch from morphine to sufentanil on expression of μ-opioid receptors in midbrain periaqueductal gray of rats

Objective To evaluate the effect of the opioid switch from morphine to sufentanil on the expression of μ-opioid receptors in the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) of rats.Methods Forty healthy male Wistar rats,aged 8 weeks,weighing 250-290 g,were randomly assigned into 5 groups (n=8 each) using a random number table:control group (group C),7 day sufentanil group (group S),7 day morphine group (group M),14 day morphine group (group MM),and 14 day alternate administration of morphine and sufentanil group (group MS).Normal saline 2 ml/kg,sufentanil 0.01 mg/kg and morphine 10 mg/kg were injected subcutaneously in the cervical region twice a day for 7 consecutive days in C,S and M groups,respectively.In group MM,morphine 10 mg/kg was injected subcutaneously in the cervical region twice a day for 14 consecutive days.In group MS,morphine 10 mg/kg was injected subcutaneously in the cervical region twice a day for 7 consecutive days (1st-7th days),and sufentanil 0.01 mg/kg was then injected subcutaneously in the cervical region twice a day for 7 consecutive days (8th-14th days).The tail flick latency (TFL) to a thermal nociceptive stimulus was measured at 15 and 30 min after the initial administration every day.After the last administration,the rats were sacrificed,and the midbrain PAG was isolated for determination of the expression of the μ-opioid receptor and μ-opioid receptor mRNA using Western blot and real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction,respectively.Results Compared with group C,the TFL was significantly prolonged on 1st-6th days after the beginning of administration in M,MM and MS groups,the TFL was significantly prolonged on 1st-7th days after the beginning of administration in group S,and the expression of the μ-opioid receptor and μ-opioid receptor mRNA in the midbrain PAG was significantly down-regulated in M,MM and MS groups (P<0.05).Compared with group MM,the TFL was significantly prolonged on 8th-14th days after the beginning of administration,and the expression of the μ-opioid receptor and μ-opioid receptor mRNA in the midbrain PAG was significantly up-regulated in group MS (P<0.05).Conclusion The mechanism by which the opioid switch from morphine to sufentanil reduces morphine tolerance is related to enhanced activity of μ-opioid receptors in the midbrain PAG of rats.
10.Interventional therapy for pancreatic carcinoma

Target of the treatment for advanced pancreatic carcinoma is always palliative without prolongation of survival time almost, therefore the aims of treatment should be concentrated on improving the quality of life and alleviateing the disease-related symptoms. We do not call for the treatment and medicines that can incur obvious adverse reaction with limited effectiveness. Interventional therapy provides superexcellent short term efficacy with alleviating the disease-related symptoms significantly, and without severe side effects and thus coincides to the principle of the treatment for advanced pancreatic carcinoma. The surpassing advantages provide popular recommendation for this very kind of therapy in the recent years.
