Aim To analyze the antibiotic activity and mechanism of a polypyridyl ruthenium complex. Meth-ods The antibacterial activity of [ ( Phen ) 2 Ru ( dp-pz) ] ( PF6 ) 2 was determined by MIC and MBC value. Based on a fluorescent activity of this complex, the flu-orescent emission spectra was used to analyze the com-bination of complex to DNA. Then the competition combination was analyzed between complex and Gold View to DNA. Lastly, gel electrophoresis of DNA was applied to detect the combination situation between complex and DNA. Results This kind of polypyridyl ruthenium complex showed a significant antibacterial activity with a minimum antibacterial conentration of 0. 2~0. 4 g · L-1 . That was caused by the combina-tion and distortion of DNA due to the activity of this complex. Conclusion The antibacterial activity and the mechanism of antibacterial activity about [ ( Phen) 2 Ru( dppz) ] ( PF6 ) 2 are confirmed in this re-search, which provides a good foundation for the devel-opment of such class of compound.

[Summary] This article reviewed the clinical features in two diabetes cases complicated with nasal‐brain mucormycosis by pathology and pulmonary mucormycosis. In one patient with diabetes combined with pulmonary mucormycosis ,manifestations of chest pain and hemoptysis ,the right upper lung biopsy tip morphology was consistent with Mucor ,successfully cured with amphotericin and operation treatment. The other patient with diabetes‐complicated nasal mucormycosis with headache and nasal cavity clump , showed black caseous matter ,finally hemiplegia. A nasal cavity tumor was proved by pathological examination. After treatment with fluconazole and operation ,the patientdied. Mucormycosisis rare and may be secondary to diabetes and hypoimmunity disease. It needs rapid diagnosis and treatment.

Objective To explore the treatment perscription with the method of integrated traditional and western medicine in type 2 diabetes.Methods With the methods of differential diagnosis of diseases in western medicine and differential symptoms and signs in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),the diseases were separated into different patterns of syndrome and treated with propotional prescription of TCM.The curative effect was evaluated with the scores in the integration of symptoms and the changes on the levels of blood glucose and glycated-hemoglobin.Results Clinical curative effects were achieved using the prescription of TCM and the simple western medicines.The curative effects were much better on lowering integration of symptoms and the level of pre-meal blood glucose with the prescription of TCM than those of the simple western medicine.Conclusion The clinical curative effects are significant on relieving the clinical symptoms of patients with the prescription of TCM than those of the simple western medicine.

Objective To observe auditory brainstem response evoked at different electrode positions adopting electrode slices .Methods The ABRs of 12 normal guinea pigs (24 ears)were recorded by two methods using clicks as stimulation .Active electrode was positioned at the vertex while the ground electrode at the nose .The reference e‐lectrode was placed on bilateral pinnas or mastoids .Then observe waveforms ,response thresholds (RT) ,peak la‐tencies(PL) and inter-peak latencies (IPL)of ABR .Results No significant difference were observed in the RT ,Ⅰ ,Ⅱand Ⅲ PL ,Ⅰ - Ⅲ IPL of ABR between the two methods(P>0 .05) .When stimulation was decreasing and with the reference electrode slices placed at bilateral pinnas ,waveⅡpeak was stable and discernable of ABR record‐ings across twenty -four ears of guinea pigs .The amplitude decreased more slowly than any other waves ,and dis‐appeared at the last .While reference electrode slices were placed on bilateral mastoids ,the amplitude of wave Ⅲ de‐creased more slowly than any other waves except wave Ⅳ ,and disappeared at lost .Ⅱ - Ⅲ ,Ⅲ - Ⅳ IPL became shorter .These two positions both recorded amplitude higher and PL advanced for wave Ⅳ as the stimulation de‐creased by 20 to 40 dB nHL ,and Ⅲ - Ⅳ IPL became shorter .This phenomenon was more obvious when reference electrode was placed at mastoid .Conclusion Wave Ⅱwas more stable and discernible with reference electrode placed at the bilateral pinnas .Therefore wave Ⅱ recorded by this way can be a new method to record the ABR threshold of g uinea pig s .

Objective To observe the safety and effectiveness of high-dose chemotherapy(HDT) supported by autologous peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cells transplantation(APBHSCT) in the patients of terminal or relapsed malignant tumors.Methods The patients achieved CR or PR after 4 cycles of conventional salvage chemotherapy were divided into two groups randomly.26 patients in the research group were adapted APBHSC+HDC,50 patients in the control group were adapted 2～4 cycles of routine chemotherapy.Results In the research group,hematopoiesis was reconstructed in all patients,8 out of 17 patients who achieved PR after 4 cycles of conventional salvage chemotherapy turned into CR after APBHSC+HDC(CR rate 47.1%).In the control group,33 patients who achieved PR after 4 cycles of conventional salvage chemotherapy were still PR after 2～4 cycles of routine chemotherapy.The median survival period in the research group was 11 months,which was longer than the one in the control group.The survival rates of 2,3 and 4 years in the research group were evidently higher than the ones in the control group(P

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of uterine arterial embolization combined with Methotrexate and Lactate ethacri-dine on related indexes of mid-pregnant patients with placenta previa abortion. METHODS:The data of 100 mid-pregnant patients with placenta previa who required inducing labor was retrospectively analyzed and divided into observation group(50 cases)and control group(50 cases)by different treatment. Control group received uterine arterial embolization before inducing labor,then received Lac-tate ethacridine injection 100 mg,amniotic injection+Mifepristone tablet 75 mg,and aborted after 2 d. Observation group received uterine arterial embolization after uterine arterial perfusionon both sides,then received Methotrexate for injection 50 mg/side after uter-ine arterial embolization catheter entering uterine artery,Lactate ethacridine injection(the same usage and dosage as control group)+Mifepristone tablet(the same usage and dosage as control group)was given after 12 h. Total parturition,intrapartum hemorrhage,hos-pitalization time,menstruation recovery time,cesarean section,hysterectomy,retained placenta and clearing palace in 2 groups were observed,and postoperative complications were recorded. RESULTS:Intrapartum hemorrhage,hospitalization time,cesarean section rate and hysterectomy rate in observation group were significantly lower than control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05), while there were no significant differences in total parturition,menstruation recovery time,retained placenta rate and clearing palace rate in 2 groups(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications in 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Uterine arterial embolization combined with Methotrexate and Lactate ethacridine can effectively reduce the hemor-rhage of mid-pregnant patients with placenta previa abortion,shorten hospitalization time,and decrease cesarean section and hysterec-tomy rate.

Objective To introduce the operative mode of circumcision of the root skin of penis for the treatment of redundant prepuce and its efficacy. Methods The operative indications included redundant prepuce and imperfect phimosis.With the will of patients,circumcision of the root skin of penis was performed on 256 cases of redundant prepuce and imperfect phimosis (group A).One section of the root skin of penis was resected,and the wound was sewed up.The skin of penis was moved from far to nearby and the prepuce was shortened finally.Compared with group A,group B (another 265 cases with the same indications) were treated with the traditional circumcision of prepuce.The amount of bleeding during operation and postoperative complications (bleeding, hematoma, dropsy, pain, infection of wound) were compared between the 2 groups. Objective:To study the influence of morphine on the expression of synaptophysin(SYN)and synapse structure in mice hippocampus,so as to provide pathological evidence for studying the development and treatment of chronic morphine intoxication, addiction and abstinence symptoms of morphine.Methods:Twenty mice were evenly randomized into control group and experiment group.Mice in control group were injected with normal saline(0.1 ml daily)and those in experimental group were injected with morphine(0.1 ml,1 mg daily).Thirty days later the mice in 2 groups were killed and their brain tissues were harvested and made into slices,stained with immunohistochemical techniques(SP)and photographed under the light microscope.The images were analyzed with the image analytical system and the data were statistically analyzed.Results:In the control group,positive staining of SYN was found in the entorhinal area,subiculum,stratum plextiforme,polymorphic layer of gyrus dentatus,stratum oriens,and stratum radiatum of hippocampus;weak positive staining of SYN was noticed in the stratum lacunosum-moleculare of hippocampus;positive staining of SYN was also found the membrane of pyramidal cells and granule cells,with the mean gray scale value of the hippocampal structure being 132.84?8.67.Positively stained neurons was also found in the entorhinal area and the subiculum,with a intensity of(7.80?1.03)/ mm~2.In the experiment group,the suhiculum and polymorphic layers of gyrus dentatus were positively stained for SYN;the entorhinal area,stratum oriens,stratum radiatum and stratum lacunosum-moleculare of hippocampus were strongly positive of SYN;the membrane of pyramidal cells and granule ceils were also strongly positive of SYN,with the mean gray scale value of the hippocampal structure being 116.27?5.70.Strongly stained neurons were also found in the entorhinal area and the subiculum,with the intensity being(11.90?1.45)/mm~2.The number of SYN positive neurons and the intensity of SYN in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P
