AIM: To establish an HPLC for determining notoginsenoside R1,ginsenoside Rg1,ginsenoside Rb1 in Xueshuantong Injection (total saponin of Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng).METHODS: The analysis was performed on UltimateTM XB C18 column(4.6 mm ? 250 mm,5 ?m) with a gradient mobile phase of acetonitrile(A)water(B) (0-30 min,20% A→38% A;30-31 min 38% A→20% A;31-40 min,20% A) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The column temperature was maintained at 40 ℃,and the detection wavelength was set at 203 nm.RESULTS:The linear range of notoginsenoside R1 fell within 0.40 -4.01 ?g (r =0.999 9 ) and the average recovery was 99.36 % (RSD = 0.72% ,n = 6).The linear range of ginsenoside Rg1 fell within 1.47-14.69 ?g (r = 0.999 9) and the average recovery rate was 99.41% (RSD = 0.52% ,n = 6).The linear range of ginsenoside Rb1 fell within 1.50-15.03 ?g(r = 0.999 9) and the average recovery rate was 99.47% (RSD = 0.50% ,n = 6).CONCLUSION: This method is accurate,simple,rapid and can be used for the quality control of Xueshuantong Injection.

Objective　To investigate the prognosis in risk of ventricular arrhythmia in coronary heart disease with heart rate variability (H RV), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and other clinical background dat a. Methods　A total of 81 patients were divided into ventricular premature beats (VPBs)≥30/h group and VPBs<30/h group. Their LVEF, HRV and cli nical data were studied and analyzed. Results　The age and blood pressure between 2 groups had no significant difference. LVEF, standard deviati on of all normal RR intervals (SDNN), SD of the average of NN interval (SDANN) a nd HRV triangular index (HRVI) were significant less in VPBs≥30/h group than in VPBs<30/h group (43.29±15.38 vs 67.33±11.47，P＜0.01；90.05±22.2 9 vs 117.90±30.32，P＜0.05；77.43±17.78 vs 105.69±28.79，P＜0.05 ；24.54±8.70 vs 32.70±10.87，P＜0.05, respectively). Incidence of myo cardial infarction (MI) was larger in VPBs≥30/h group than VPBs<30/h group. LVE F was the independent predictable factor in risk of ventricular arrhythmia with multinomial regression logistic analysis（B=0.119, P=0.032）. Co nclusion 　Our findings indicate that LVEF is an independent predictable factor i n risk of ventricular arrhythmia in coronary heart disease. Although HRV and MI history can not be used to predict VPB, significant difference is found between 2 groups. High-risk patients could be selected successfully when these data are considered in combination.

Objective To study the efficacy of CPT-11 TACE in the treatment of unresectable HCC.Methods A retrospective review was undertaken on unresectable HCC patients receiving doxorubicin transarterial chemoembolization (59 cases) and irinotecan(CPT-11) in 24 cases from May 2003 to November 2011.Survival analysis was performed with Kaplan-Meier statistics.Differences in survival between the two groups were assessed for statistical significance with the log-rank test.Results Overall survival time was significantly longer in patients treated with CPT-11 compared with doxorubicin treated group (21.7 vs 14.5 months,P =0.042).There was no significant difference in time to progression between the two groups,but time to progression was longer in CPT-11 group than doxorubicin treated group (11.42 vs 9.46 months,P =0.091).Subgroup analysis showed that for intermediate-stage HCC,CPT-11 resulted in a significantly longer time to progression and overall survival compared with doxorubicin treated group (P =0.029 and P =0.014,respectively).There were no significant differences in adverse events among the two groups (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Chemotherapeutic agent CPT-11 in the form of TACE significantly improved overall survival when compared with doxorubicin for the treatment of unresectable HCC.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of chemoradiotherapy in patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer who were previously treated with PTCD.Methods From September 2005 to December 2012,47 unresectable pancreatic cancer patients with obstructive jaundice were enrolled in this study.They were divided into two groups.21 patients received after PTCD chemotherapy or radiation,or chemoradiotherapy.26 patients in support care group received only nutrition,analgesia and other related support treatment.Survival analysis was performed with Kaplan-Meier statistics.Differences in survival between the groups were assessed for statistical significance with the log-rank test.Results The median overall survival time of patients after PTCD was 7.19 months.The median overall survival time of chemoradiation group was 9.07 months,which was higher than that of support care group (5.52 months),P=0.017.12 patients received single therapy (either chemo or radiation),and 9 patients received chemoradiotherapy.The median overall survival times were 8.31 months and 11.15 months,respectively (P =0.325).Conclusions Post PTCD chemoradiotherapy helps prolong the survival time in unresectable pancreatic cancer patients.

Objective To investigate the effect of lateral ventricle transplantation of neurotrophic factor-transfected cells derived from Glia cell line on vascular dementia in rats and gene expression of Drebrin in hippocampal region.Methods By using gene clone technique,the GDNF gene was transfected into SH-SY5Y cell lines.104 adult male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing (200± 20) gram were divided into groups:transplanted group,injected group,control group,all of which accepted operation by permanent ligation of left common carotid artery and clipping right common carotid artery repeatedly to build up model of vascular dementia,and sham operation group which accepted no ligation or clipping.6 rats from each group were decapitated on the third day,seventh day and tenth day after transplanting treatment were for fluorescence detection.The rest 20 rats in each group were used to detect learning and memory functions by Morris water maze on the third day and decapitated on the fourth day after transplanting treatment.Then GDNF level in temporal lobe were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA),while Drebrin mRNA and protein levels in hippocampal region were detected by real time-PCR and Westernblot respectively.Results There was strong fluorescent light detected around lateral ventricle of rats in transplanted group on the third day after transplantation,which faded on the seventh day and disappeared on the tenth day.The learning and memory functions of rats in transplanted group were improved significantly.The escape latency was shorter in transplanted group than in injected group and control group [(34.89±4.15) s vs.(43.86±6.95) s,(50.89±3.66) s,both P＜0.05],while shuttle times through the third quadrant were more often in transplanted group than in injected group and control group [(11.00±1.49) vs.(9.26 ±1.38),(8.04 ± 1.12),both P＜0.05].GDNF level and Drebrin mRNA and protein levels were higher in transplanted group than in injected group and control group [GDNF:(315.71±27.43) vs.(256.26±19.90),(141.95±21.33),Drebrin mRNA:(5.54±0.35) vs.(3.10±0.33),(1.32±0.23),Drebrinprotein:(0.55±0.05) vs.(0.43±0.06),(0.26±0.06),all P＜0.05].Conclusions GDNF-transfected cells could survive in the lateral cerebral ventricle of rats for about seven days.The method for treating vascular dementia through the technique of transplanting GDNF-transfected cells is certain feasible,which has a better therapeutic effect than GDNF-injection directly into lateral cerebral ventricle.The therapeutic effect of GDNF on vascular dementia may be related to its action of regulating neural plasticity.

Objective To analyze the incidence and the risk factors of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) among the multiple and single gestations births.Methods A prospective control study was applied to the research.The preterm infants were selected that from September 2013 to December 2015 in neonatology department of our hospital.They were divided into multiple gestations group (52 cases) and single birth infants group (600 cases).RetCam Ⅲl retina camera and binocular indirect ophthalmoscope video were used to screening the ocular fundus.The cure rate of the two groups was compared with chi-square test.Results The incidence of ROP in multiple gestations group (32.69％) was higher than single birth infants group (20.83％) (P =0.047).There was significant difference about the multiple and single gestations births in ≤ 30 weeks (P =0.040),and there was no statistically significant difference in ＞ 30 weeks (all P ＞0.05).With the increase of birth weight,the ROP detection rate of two groupa was reduced.There was no statistically significant difference about different birth weight among the two groups (all P ＞ 0.05).The oxygen usage of ＞ 5 days ROP detection rate was higher than 5 days or less in the two groups (P =0.025,0.001).There was no significant difference in ROP detection rate between two groups with ≤5 d oxygen usage.There was significant difference about the multiple and single gestations births in oxygen usage of ＞ 5 days (P =0.020).Multivariate analysis found that multiple gestations and small gestational age were risk factors for ROP.Conclusion The smaller gestational age,the lower birth weight,and the longer oxygen therapy with the preterm infants,the higher the incidence of ROP.The number of different gestational is also the influences factors of ROP.Multiple gestations overall incidence of ROP is higher than the single birth infants.The smaller the gestational age and the longer oxygen usage,multiple gestations incidence of ROP is higher than single gestation in different births.However,there is no relationship in different birth weight among the multiple and single gestations.

Objective To investigate the milieu-dependent differentiation of primordial germ cells(PEGs) in the acute damaged liver microenviroment. Methods After PGCs were cultured and proliferated,these cells were labelled with 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine(BrdU),then transplanted into the acute damaged liver by CCl_4 through tail vein.Two and four weeks later,the liver was extracted and 10?m-cryostat continuous sections were obtained.The existing and differentiation of the transplanted cells were identified by immunohistochemistry,immunofluorescence double staining and histochemistry for BrdU and hepatic-specific ALB,and the glycogen. Results Transplanted PGCs were found to be incorporated into the acute damaged liver and differentiated into hepatocytes,compensating for acute liver failure.Conclusion PGCs can be induced to differentiate into hepatocytes in the acute damaged liver microenvironment,and can be used for cellular hepatoplasty to treat severe liver disease.

Objective:To investigate the influential factors correlated to bone mineral density(BMD) in the lumbar vertebra of postmenopausal females,and to find out the influence of body mass and menostasis time on BMD. Methods: BMD in the frontal and lateral lumbar vertebrae of postmenopausal females were measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry(DXA).The correlations of BMD to age,body height,body mass,body mass index(BMI),menopausal age,and/or menopausal years were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS10.0. Results:The change of BMD in the frontal lumbar vertebra was positive to body mass but negatively with postmenopausal years,and that in the lateral lumbar vertebra was closely correlated to BMI. Conclusion: Bone mineral density decreases with increase of menostasis time.Females with a high body mass numerical value have higher bone mineral density.

Objective:To explore blood type distribution of newborns hemolytic disease ( HDN ) caused by maternal and neonatal blood type incompatibility and analyze the value of hemolysis three trials in the diagnosis of HDN.Methods:Hemolysis three trials of type O or Rh negative maternal cord blood samples and hyperbilirubinemia of the newborn blood samples from January 2014 to 2016 were detected by micro-column gel test cards.Then the results were statistically analyzed.Results:(1) There were 918 cases of maternal and neonatal blood type incompatibility in all 1350 cases.569 cases were detected HDN positive with the rate of 62%( 569/918).Among 569 cases,the positive rate of direct anti-globulin test,free antibody test and antibody released test were 27.9%(159/569),86.5%(492/569) and 100% respectively.There was statistical difference of the combination of direct anti-globulin test negative,free antibody test positive and antibody released test positive compared with other combinations ( P<0.05 ).( 2 ) There was statistical difference of HDN positive rate between ABO 73.8%(551/747) and Rh 10.5%(18/171)in 918 cases of blood type incom-patibility.(3)There was statistical difference between A positive rate of 80%(280/350) and B positive rate of 68.3%(271/397) in 747 cases of ABO incompatibility.(4)There was statistical difference among RhD positive rate of 17.7%(14/79),RhE positive rate of 6.8%(4/59) and RhC positive rate of 0(0/33).Conclusion: Antibody released test was the most sensitive test in hemolysis three trials to diagnose HDN.The probability of HDN positive caused by maternal and neonatal ABO blood type incompatibility was significantly higher than Rh.The probability of HDN positive with type A newborns was significantly higher than type B.The probability of HDN positive caused by RhD blood type incompatibility was significantly higher than RhE and RhC.
