OBJECTIVE:
To observe the role of the dust mites drops sublingual immunotherapy(SLIT) in pediatric allergic rhiriitis caused by dust mites and compare its efficacy between monosensitized and polysensitized children.
METHOD:
A total of 77 pediatric allergic rhinitis patients received Dermatophagoides farina extracts sublingual immunotherapy for 2 years were enrolled as desensitization group and were allocated into monosensitized group (41 cases) and polysensitized group (36 cases) according to the number of coexisting allergens. Meanwhile another 33 allergic rhinitis children treated by pharmacotherapy during the period were collected as control group. The total symptom scores (TNSS), total medication scores (TMS) and visual analogue scale(VAS) were assessed at the beginning, six months, 1 year and 2 years of the treatment. SPSS 13. 0 software was used to analyze the data.
RESULT:
the score of TNSS and VAS in desensitization was slightly higher than the control after six months treatment, but without difference at l year and 2 years; the score of TMS had significantly improved in desensitization compared with the corresponding points in control. All the parameters in monosensitized group were equivalent with polysensitizend group, except the score of TMS was slightly lower than the polysensitizend group at six months.
CONCLUSION
Dust mite drops sublingual immunotherapy is effective for the allergic rhinitis children caused by mites. And it has similar immunotherapy efficacy between monosensitized and polysensitized children.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(07):-
The development of orthopedic fixing materials is a most basic and active aspect in orthopedic injury treatment.Their invention and application of early manual splints, gypsum bangs,hot-shaped splints, polymeric bangs and so on,greatly promoted orthopedic fixing performance and varied the strategies of orthopedic injury treatment.By repeated experiments and clinical trials,we developed a new orthopedic fixing material using polymeric materials.Convenient to operate, easy to remove,auto-shaped,X ray transmittable, water proof and durable,it not only satisfies the needs of fixing different parts of the body, but also remedies the defects of earlier fixing materials, and therefore has gained an extensive application as the best fixing material for the treatment of clinical and battle-field bone fractures.Further studies on it will surely better its properties, reduce its cost and lead it to a wider application.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(09):-
The application of the protein design method based on the HNP model and the relative entropy theory is discussed for four structural classes of real proteins, and the results are compared with that of the HP model. Testing on 190 proteins shows that this method is generally effective for the different structural classes of proteins. Further studies show that the success rate of this method on regular secondary structures is higher than that on the random coil. Additionally, the success rate for different types of amino acids is also analyzed. It is found that the success rate on the hydrophilic residues is higher than those of the other two types. Furthermore, the success rate of this method on the conserved residues is higher than the non-conserved residues. The reasons resulting in the difference of the success rate on different systems were also analyzed. All analyses mentioned above make the foundation for the development and the application of this method in the future.

Objective To construct a technical platform for scarless gene modification of Yersinia pestis and to study the functions of its specific genes. Methods The resistance fragment, including upstream and downstream homologous arms of targeted regions, was reamplified by asymmetric PCR.The amplicons were introduced into Y.pestis harboring plasmid pKD46.With the induction of L-arabinose,the recombinant related enzymes: Exo, Beta and Gam, were expressed to guide the homologous recombination.A donor plasmid, pKSI-1, which carried the desired modification fragment flanking by I-SceⅠ recognition sites, was introduced into Y.pestis as the second step of λ-Red recombination with the help of pREDTKI.Results and Conclusion Two mutant strains:△waaA and waaA(△9nt), were successfully constructed for Y.pestis strain 201.Scarless modification introduces no extra modification to the genome, and it is ideal for comprehensive functional genomic studies.

Objective:To summarize single-center experience and short-term outcomes of surgical treatment of pediatric cardiac fibromas. Methods:There was a retrospective study of 10 patients who underwent surgical treatment of cardiac fibromas between January 2018 and October 2021. Fibromas were located in the left ventricle in 7 cases, and in the right ventricle in 3 cases. Mean tumor diameter was(5.6±2.0) cm.Results:Median age at surgery was 3.1 years old(5 months-9 years old). Nine patients received complete resection, and the other one received partial resection. One patient with giant left ventricular fibroma required extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support for ventricular fibrillation after weaning from cardiopulmonary bypass, and was successfully weaned on the third postoperative day. There was no early mortality. Median follow-up time was 6 months(1 month-3 years). No tumor recurrence nor ventricular arrhythmia was documented during the follow-up period. Conclusion:Pediatric cardiac fibromas can be usually treated by complete resection, with relief of cardiac dysfunction and ventricular arrythmia after surgery, and with satisfactory results.
