Objective According to the theoretic framework of successful ageing, this study developed a multidimensional Successful Ageing Assessment Scale and tested its reliability and validity. Methods Through literature review, the study determined evaluative dimension, structure and scoring method. Then, the Successful Ageing Multidimensional Assessment Scale(SAMAS) was developed and was optimized by the expert consultation,semi-structured interview and twice tests. The predicted sample was conducted with item analysis, and testing of reliability and validity; the formal tested sample was conducted with item analysis, conformance testing and testing of reliability and validity. Then the formal tested sample was tested and retested two weeks later. The intestine emendatory Activities of Daily Living Scale (ADL),Mini Mental State Examination Scale (MMSE),Social Disability Screening Schedule (SDSS) and Memorial University of Newfoundland Scale of Happiness(MUNSH) were used to test its criteri-on validity. Results SAMAS consisted of 5 dimensions, including chronic disease state, physical perfor-mance,cognitive function, social function, subjective well-being.Item analysis showed the dimensions of scale and total scale scores had positive correlation. In conformance testing, the Kappa value was 0.65~0.86,test-retest reliability was 0.66~0.85 and the internal consistency reliability was 0.88.The correl-ative coefficient of the physical performance and social function scores were negatively correlated with ADL scores and SSDS scores, the correlative coefficient of the cognitive function and subjective well-being scores were positively correlated with MMSE scores and MUNSH scores. Conclusions SAMAS suggested good reliability, validity and could well evaluate comprehensive health for the elderly,at the same time could distinguish between SA and non SA group.

Objective To provide the oxygen supply apparatus when the civil aviator and airforce pilot are inspected the hypoxia tolerance and altitude tolerance in the hypobaric environment. Methods Demand oxygen and contstant flow oxygen were supplied. Results The portable hypobaric oxygen supply apparatus can supply mixed oxygen below the altitude 8 000 m,and the oxygenous concentration of mixed oxygen was adjusted according to the altitude. The pure oxygen was supplied when the altitude was at 8 000~12 000 m.Conclusion The normal and emergency oxygen supply performance can fulfill the system physiological requirements. The portable hypobaric oxygen supply apparatus may be used by the persons engaging in special task on plateau also.

Asthma action plan (AAP) is an essential component of asthma education and self-management. AAPs provide patients with instructions on how to recognise loss of asthma control and the appropriate treatment steps. The use of AAP improves asthma-related quality of life and reduces the risk of asthma exacerbation. Despite its benefits, utilisation of AAP is disappointingly low both locally and worldwide. This review highlights the importance of AAP as part of an asthma care plan and provides practical information on the prescription of AAPs. We conclude by identifying possible barriers to AAP implementation and how these may be overcome.

Aim To explore the possibility of the multiple epitope DNA vaccines of hepatitis C virus (HCV). Methods A synthetic multiple epitope antigen gene PCX of HCV was cloned into vector pREP9(RSV promoter) and pcDNA3 (CMV promoter) to construct eukaryotic expression vectors pREP9/PCX and pcDNA3/PCX, then they were used to immunize mice and rabbits, the titer of specific humoral and cellular responses were detected and their safety were observed. Results In mice, specific anti-GZ-PCX antibody(IgG) was lower than 1∶ 1 000 and did not persist well. In rabbits, the highest titer of anti-GZ-PCX IgG reached at 1∶ 3 200 and remained for about one month. Delayed type hypersensitivity reactions (DTH)and proliferation response of peripheral lymphocytes were induced by GZ-PCX antigen. Body weights of immunized mice were normal and no obvious toxic reaction was observed. Conclusion The multiple epitope antigen gene of HCV could induce specific immune responses without obvious toxicity and it might be able to serve as an effective HCV vaccine candidate.

OBJECTIVETo explore the distribution of monoamine oxidase A (MOA-A) EcoRV polymorphism in Shanghai Han population and its possible role in the risk for Parkinson's disease(PD).
METHODSThe MAO-A gene EcoRV polymorphism was detected with PCR-RFLP method in 110 PD patients and 182 healthy controls, furthermore, statistical analysis was performed to investigate association between EcoR V polymorphism and PD onset.
RESULTS(1)Remarkable difference in MAO-A EcoR V polymorphic distribution has been observed between Shanghai Han population and that in North America. (2) Neither allelic frequency nor genotypic frequency in PD cases differs significantly from that in healthy controls regardless of data from male or female subclass.
CONCLUSIONThere may be racial difference in the distribution of the human MAO-A EcoR V (C/T) polymorphism, but the present research does not support the association between this variant and susceptibility to PD in Chinese Han population of Shanghai area.

OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate the effect of the combined application of dissociate skin flap and vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) for the repairing for defect after surgical management of huge neck neoplasms.
METHOD:
Nineteen patients with huge neck malignant tumor involving the skin of the neck were given radical operation, making use of VSD covering the wound surface. After giving 6.65-7.98 mm Hg continuous negative pressure drainage for 72 h, the patients turned to be treated by intermittent negative pressure therapy with 2 min free interval after each treatment period for 5 min. After dismantling the VSD at 7th to 10th day postoperatively, the good wounds covered by granulation tissue were treated by the skin graft operation with dissociate skin flap from thighs; as for the wounds of which the granulation tissue didn't grow well and important cervical tissues was not fully covered by the granulation tissue, VSD was applied again for 1 week, followed by the skin graft operation.
RESULT:
Nineteen patients have received a total of 23 times of VSD wound treatment, one-stage operation time was significantly shortened. The granulation tissue grew faster on the wound after VSD treatment, and the important cervical tissues such as great vessels could be well covered. The infection and tumor recurrence were observed directly after dismantling the VSD. The skin graft transplantation would be performed after 1-3 weeks.
CONCLUSION
The treatment by vacuum sealing drainage combined with skin graft for surgical wounds of huge neck tumor postoperatively has the advantages of simple operation, little injury and promotion of the wound healing, which is an effective way for treatment of neck skin defect by surgical operation for the huge tumor.
