2.Mechanism and research advances regarding adaption of nutrition insufficiency for tumor cells
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;(9):478-481
Given the unlimited proliferation and aerobic glycolysis in tumor cells, these cells require more glucose, glutamine, and other nutrients compared with normal cells. Tumor cells are often affected by insufficient nutrient supply. However, by sensing changes in the nutrient supply in tumor microenvironment and by regulating signal-transduction pathways, some specific proteins can help tumor cells in blocking the cell cycle, reprogramming metabolism, and regulating autophagy to progress and survive against nutri-ent stress. Exciting innovations have been made to elucidate the mechanisms relevant to this process. This review aims to highlight re-cent studies on the mechanisms of sensing the low nutrient supply in microenvironments, as well as the downstream effect factors in cancer cells.
3.Effect of up-regulated esp1 gene expression on apoptosis of A549 cells
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(08):-
Objective To construct an expression vector containing esp1 in order to observe the effect of esp1 gene on the apoptosis of A549 cells. Methods A conditional plasmid vector containing esp1 was constructed, and transfected into A549 cells. The expression level of esp1 was detected by fluorescence microscopy, the chromosomes and the apoptosis, proliferation were detected. Results Transfection of IRE-EGFP-esp1 into A549 cells reduced improper chromosome segregation, cell proliferation and increased the apoptosis of A549 cells. Conclusion Up-regulation of esp1 not only has inhibitory effects on the abnormal proliferation and chromatid separation of tumor cells, but induces the apoptosis of A549 cells.
5.Analysis of 262 Cases of ADR in Our Hospital
China Pharmacy 2015;(29):4086-4088
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the characteristics and regularity of ADR in our hospital, and to provide reference for clinical rational drug use. METHODS:262 ADR reports of the hospital during 2013-2014 were summarized and analyzed. RE-SULTS:Among 262 cases of ADR,most of ADR occurred in elderly patients aged above 60 years old, accounting for 46.56%. 239 cases were induced by intravenous drip, accounting for 91.22%;anti-infective drugs induced 97 cases of ADR,accounting for 37.02%,among them there were 48 cases of cephalosporin-induced ADR,accounting for 49.48%(total 97 cases);most of them were lesion of skin and its appendants, being 96 cases and accounting for 36.64%. Among 262 cases,132 cases were improved af-ter drug withdrawal(50.38%);no drug sequelae or death cases was found. CONCLUSIONS:To master the characteritics and reg-ularity of ADR contribnte to redcue and aroid the repeat of ADR.
6.Protective Effect of Complex EGb on Cerebral Ischemic Damage
Traditional Chinese Drug Research & Clinical Pharmacology 2000;0(05):-
Objective: To study the protective effect of Complex EGb(C-EGb) on cerebral ischemic damage. Methods: SD rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) was established according to the method described by Zea Longa,et al. The neurological symptoms and brain infarction range in rat models were evaluated. Mouse model of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion was set up by ligating bilateral common carotid arteries and loosening them in 30 minutes. Effects of C-Egb on superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, blood glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) level, catalase activity and plasma malonyl dialdehyde (MDA) content were observed. Results: C-EGb markedly improved the neurological symptoms and reduced the range of cerebral infarction in MCAO rats. It also decreased the inhibition of SOD, GSH-Px and CAT activity and reduced the production of MDA in ischemia-reperfusion mice. Conclusion: C-EGb has protective effect on brain tissue from cerebral ischemic damage and its effect is better than that of EGb and that of the mixture of EGb.

8.Relationship of plasma levels of natriuretic peptide and high sensitivity C-reactive protein in the patients with different phenotypes of coronary heart desease
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;37(18):2529-2530,2533
Objective To observed the changes of plasma levels of NT‐proBNP and hs‐CRP in patients with different types of coronary heart disease and investigate its clinical value .Methods 156 patients with CHD diagnosed by coronary computed tomo‐graphy angiography(CTA) were enrolled in this study ,including 35 cases of acute myocardial infarction(AMI) ,63 cases of unstable angina(UAP) and 58 cases of stable angina(SAP) .And 61 persons without CHD were selected as the control(CTR) .Plasma levels of NT‐proBNP and hs‐CRP were detected by the methods of immmunofluorescent antibody technic reader and turbidimetry ,respec‐tively .Results Plasma NT‐proBNP levels of AMI ,UAP ,SAP and CTR group were (1 903 .99 ± 2 055 .21) ,(897 .27 ± 947 .34) , (677 .98 ± 718 .12) ,(129 .39 ± 126 .49)ng/L ,respect ively .Plasma hs‐CRP levels were (28 .47 ± 20 .49) ,(12 .68 ± 8 .64) ,(10 .56 ± 7 .17) ,(2 .82 ± 1 .23)mg/L ,respectively .Plasma levels of NT‐proBNP and hs‐CRP in AMI group were obviously higher than those in UAP ,SAP and CTR group(P<0 .05) .Plasma levels of NT‐proBNP and hs‐CRP in UAP group were obviously higher than those in CTR group(P<0 .05) .There was no significant differences in these markers between SAP group and control group(P>0 .05) . Plasma BNP levels were positively correlated with plasma hs‐CRP .Conclusion Plasma levels of NT‐proBNP and hs‐CRP are asso‐ciated with different clinical phenotyes of CHD .Those markers may be helpful to the risk stratification and prognosis of CHD .
9.Quality of life in 164 allergic rhinitis patients caused by different aeroallergens.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(3):226-229
OBJECTIVE:
We aimed to analyze the quality of life (QOL) in adults with allergic rhinitis according to the sensitization profile for relevant aeroallergens in Northern China, investigate the proportion of patients with coexisting asthma, and explore the correlation between QOL of rhinitis patients and the specific IgE level to the causative allergen.
METHOD:
One hundred and sixty-four allergic rhinitis patients participated in this study, whose clinical history, results of intradermal skin test and serum specific IgE levels to common aeroallergens in North China were collected. QOL was evaluated using the rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire (RQLQ).
RESULT:
QOL of rhinitis patients was worse in those sensitized to tree pollens or weed pollens than those sensitized to house dust mites in Northern China. The proportion of patients with co-existing asthma was lower in tree pollen group than in house dust mite group or weed pollen group, and there was no significant difference between house dust mite group and weed pollen group. There was no significant correlation between QOL of rhinitis patients and the specific IgE level to the causative allergen.
CONCLUSION
In our study group, QOL of patients with allergic rhinitis varied with the allergen responsible for symptoms, but was not influenced by the specific IgE level to relevant allergen. The proportion of patients with co-existing asthma also varied with different pollen allergens. Rhinitis patients sensitized to weed pollens might be more likely to suffer from asthma than those sensitized to tree pollens.
