Sixty cases of simple obesity of stomach-intestine excessive heat type were randomly divided into acupuncture-Tuina groupand single acupuncture group, 30 cases in each group, and were given acupuncture-Tuina and single acupuncture respectively. The clinical effects of two groups were analyzed and compared by obesity and fat indexes before and after treatment. The total effective rates in acupuncture-Tuina and simple acupuncture group were 90.0% and 73.3% respectively. The effect of acupuncture-Tuina in treating simple obesity with stomach-intestine excessive heat type was satisfactory, and better than that of acupuncture(P<0.05).

Seventy-six athletes with acute lumbar sprain were treated by Tuina plus Acupuncture. First the acupoints of Bladder Meridian and Governor Vessel were Tuina to promote the recovery of lumbar muscles. Then Shuigou (GV 26), Weizhong (BL 40) and Fuyang (BL 59) were punctured. After 5 treatments, 46 cases were cured, 20 cases got remarkable effectiveness, 8 cases got effectiveness and 2 cases failed with the total effective rate of 97.4%.

ObjectiveTo investigate the protective effect of combination of triptolide and irbesartan on the podocytes in a type 2 diabetic(T2DM) rat model,and evaluate its mechanism.Methods T2DM rats were induced by fed with high-sucrose-high-fat diet combined with a low dose of streptozocin.The rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:normal control group ( NC,n =10),diabetes group ( DM,n =11),triptolide treatment group (DT,n =12),irbesartan treatment group (DI,n =12) and triptolide combined with irbesartan treatment group (DTI,n =13). Ultrastructure of podocytes was observed by electronic microscopy and urinary albumin (UAL) excretion by ELISA was determined after 8 weeks.The expression of nephrin and bone morphogenetic protein-7(BMP-7), connective tissue growth factor (CTGF),transforming growth factor (TGF)β1 mRNA and proteins were detected by immunohistochemistry,real-time PCR and Western blot. Results Increased UAL was significantly attenuated in all treatment groups.Compared to NC group,UAL in DM group was increased significantly (0.45 ± 0.09 vs 6.36 ± 0.87,P ＜ 0.01 ),while decreased in triptolide or irbesartan alone treatment group (2.48 ± 0.37 and 2.68 ±0.42,both P ＜ 0.01 ).Compared with those in control groups,kidney expression of nephrin,BMP-7 mRNA and proteins were downregulated while CTGF, TGFβ1 mRNA and proteins were significantly upregulated in T2DM rats. Triptolide or irbesartan each alone moderately ameliorated albuminuria and podocyte damage.However,their combined usage showed a dramatic therapeutic synergism,manifested by prevention of progressive albuminuria,restoration of the glomerular filtration barrier,reversal of the decline in slit diaphragm proteins,reduction expression of CTGF,TGFβ1,and upregulation of BMP-7.Conclusion Our findings show that triptolide can increase the efficacy of irbesartan,leading to a more effective prevention of kidney disease in T2DM rat model,which may through upregulation of BMP-7 and inhibition the overexpression of CTGF and TGFβ1.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the characteristics and regularity of lornoxicam related ADR,and to provide reference for rational and safe use of lornoxicam. METHODS:From Jan. 1,2006 to Dec. 31,2013,lornoxicam related ADR reports collect-ed by National ADR Monitoring System in Beijing were analyzed retrospectively about their characteristics and related factors. RE-SULTS:In the statistical period,there were 48 ADR reports related to lornoxicam. The people over 40 years age accounted for 62.5%. 38 patients used lornoxicam by intravenous infusion or intramuscular injection ,accounting for 79.17%. The clinical mani-festations were diverse and complex,in which skin(32.96%)and gastrointestinal damage(25.00%)were more common ADR oc-curred within 30 min,accounting for 35.42%,and it would be better after stopping drug or 1-3 days symptomatic treatment. CON-CLUSIONS:The rational use of lornoxicam can reduce the occurrence of ADR. Suggestion on the use of the drug,is that the pa-tient should be monitored for security,in order to reduce the risk of ADR.

Objective To explore the role of apoptosis and the expression of X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein(XIAP) in polymorphonuclear neutrophils(PMNs) during acute pancreatitis(AP).Methods Blood from normal control(NC,n=15),mild acute pancreatitis(MAP,n=15) and severe acute pancreatitis(SAP,n=15) were collected.PMNs apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry.PMNs were isolated from each group and XIAPmRNA and protein levels were assessed by RT-PCR and Western Blotting.Results PMNs apoptosis in SAP group was(2.15?0.40)%,MAP group was(4.16?0.14)%,NC group was(4.31?0.12)%.PMNs apoptosis rate in SAP and MAP groups was decreased compared to NC group(P

Objective To discuss the relevance of serum visfatin(VF), lipoprotein-a(LP-a) and homocysteine(HCY) in diabetic nephropathy (DN). Methods 168 patients with diabetes were selected from October 2011 to July 2015 in our Hospital.According to whether associated with kidney disease were divided into without nephropathy group (82 cases) and nephropathy group (86 cases),on the basis of urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER), nephropathy group were divided into low volume nephropathy group (UAER≤300 mg/24 h, 58 cases) and high volume nephropathy group(UAER>300 mg/24 h, 48cases),at the same time,a medical health personnel 30 cases were chosen as normal group, enzyme-linked immunosorbent method was used to detect the serum VF, LP-a, HCY levels, Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyse the relationship between UAER and serum VF, LP-a, HCY levels.Results The serum LP-a in nephropathy group was significantly higher than that of without nephropathy group and normal group, the serum LP-a, HCY in high volume nephropathy group was significantly higher than the low volume nephropathy group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);the serum VF level in high volume nephropathy group>low volume nephropathy group>without nephropathy group>normal group ( P<0.05 );Pearson correlation analysis showed that, UAER were positively correlated with LP-a(r=5.013,P<0.05),VF(r=5.864,P<0.05),HCY(r=7.246,P<0.05) levels in serum.Conclusion The serum VF, LP-a, HCY levels is associated with the development of DN, and it is associated to patients with renal function changes.It is helpful to the physician monitoring disease progression in patients with DN via detecting the levels of VF, LP-a and HCY.

Objective To study the expression of RhoA and C-myc in gastric carcinoma , and to discuss the action in infiltration and metastasis of gastric carcinoma as well as their dependability. Methods RhoA protein expression and C-myc protein expression were detected by immunohistochemical method in 46 cases of gastric carcinoma and 20 cases of normal tissues..RhoA protein expression was compared with clinical pathologic parameters as related to C-myc. Results The positive rate of RhoA,C-myc were significantly higher in gastric carcinoma than in normal tissue (P < 0.05). The expression of RhoA and C-myc were associated with the loss of tumor differentiation, lymph node metastasis and deep invasion (P<0.05). There was a significant correlation between RhoA and C-myc (r=0.62, P<0.05). Conclusions The data suggests that the expression level of RhoA protein was closely related to biological behavior of gastric carcinoma. RhoA and C-myc were possibly both correlated with the infiltration and metastasis of gastric carcinoma.

AIM:Tostudywhe ther theangiotens in-(1-7)[Ang-(1-7)]/Mas receptor axis protects cardio-myocytes against high glucose (HG)-induced injury by inhibiting nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) pathway.METHODS:The cell viability was measured by CCK-8 assay.The intracellular levels of reactive oxygen species ( ROS) were detected by DCFH-DA staining .The number of apoptotic cells was tested by Hoechst 33258 nuclear staining .Mitochondrial membrane potential ( MMP) was examined by JC-1 staining.The levels of NF-κB p65 subunit and cleaved caspase-3 protein were de-termined by Western blotting.RESULTS: Treatment of H9c2 cardiac cells with 35 mmol/L glucose (HG) for 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 min significantly enhanced the levels of phosphorated ( p) NF-κB p65, peaking at 60 min.Co-treatment of the cells with 1 μmol/L Ang-(1-7) and HG for 60 min attenuated the up-regulation of p-NF-κB p65 induced by HG. Co-treatment of the cells with Ang-(1-7) at concentrations of 0.1~30μmol/L and HG for 24 h inhibited HG-induced cy-totoxicity, evidenced by an increase in cell viability .On the other hand, 1 μmol/L Ang-(1-7) ameliorated HG-induced apoptosis, oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage , indicated by decreases in the number of apoptotic cells , cleaved caspase-3 level, ROS generation and MMP loss .However, the above cardioprotective effects of Ang-(1-7) were markedly blocked by A-779, an antagonist of Ang-(1-7) receptor (Mas receptor).Similarly, co-treatment of H9c2 cardiac cells with 100 μmol/L PDTC ( an inhibitor of NF-κB) and HG for 24 h also obviously reduced the above injuries induced by HG.CONCLUSION:Ang-(1-7)/Mas receptor axis prevents the cardiomyocytes from the HG-induced injury by inhibiting NF-κB pathway .

Objective To investigate the correlation between fatigue and coping strategies among peritoneal dialysis patients,to improve their health consciousness and reduce the fatigue.Methods A total 107 patients were surveyed with general data questionnaire,Multidimensional Fatigue Symptom Inventory-Short Form( MFSI-SF) ,and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire,MCMQ.Results The score of fatigue was (83.32 ±1.54) points,which indicated the fatigue remained in high level.Scores from high to low were dialysis≥5years,dialysis<1year and 1year≤dialysis<5years.Patients mainly took the coping style with positive face.Pearson correlation analysis showed that fatigue was negatively correlated withface(r=-0.300,P<0.05),while it was positively correlated with withdrawand yield(r=0.227,0.300,all P<0.05).Conclusion Patiens should be encouraged to actively face the disease,pay more attention to their own state of dialysis and improve the effect of drain,reduce fatigue,then to reply for both mind and body health.

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) in Chinese by detailed clinicopathological and laboratory assessments.Methods The baseline features of 36 patients with biopsy-proven disease were reviewed.The diagnosis was confirmed by pathology review according to consensus diagnostic criteria and clinicopathologic correlation.Disease activity and damage were assessed by the IgG4-RD responder index (RI).Results Thirty (83.3％) of the patients were male,while six were female,and the average age of onset was 65.1 years.All of the 36 patients had active disease,in which submandibular gland,lymph nodes,retroperitoneal tissue were the most common affected organs in this group of patients.Among 36 patients,77.7％ had elevated serum IgG4 concentrations and 44.4％ had hypocomplementemia.Patients with elevated serum IgG4 had a higher RI,a greater number of organs involved (P ＜ 0.01 for all comparisons).The correlation between serum IgG4 level and RI (r=0.737,P ＜ 0.01) was stronger than IgG,ESR,CRP and serum complement levels.The incidence of hypocomplementemia in IgG4-RD patients with renal involvement was higher than that in IgG4-RD patients with other organs involvement (P ＜ 0.01).Twenty-eight patients received glucocorticoids therapy,and had lower RI and serum IgG4 concentration after therapy (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Both IgG4-RD RI and IgG4 concentration may be regarded as assessment markers of disease activity and therapeutic effect of IgG4-RD.The diagnosis of IgG4-RD should be supported by histopathology and clinical features.
