1.Novel hybrids of (phenylsulfonyl)furoxan and N-benzyl matrinol as anti-hepatocellular carcinoma agents.

N-Benzyl matrinol was obtained by hydrolysis, benzylation and reduction reaction from matrine. A series of hybrids (8a-8n) from (phenylsulfonyl)furoxan and N-benzyl matrinol were synthesized and biologically evaluated as anti-hepatocellular carcinoma agents. All target compounds were evaluated for anti-proliferative activity against human hepatocellular Bel-7402, SMMC-7721, Bel-7404, and HepG2 cells in vitro by MTT method. The results indicated that all of these compounds had potent anti-proliferative activity which were more potent than their parent compound and 5-FU, especially 8a-8h and 8j showed the strongest anti-HCC HepG2 cell activity with IC50 values of 0.12-0.93 μmol x L(-1).
2.The correlation analysis of serum tumor necrosis factor-α and neuron-specific enolase and the degree of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy

Objective To investigate the correlation between serum tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α,neuron-specific enolase (NSE)and the degree of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).Methods Forty-six HIE patients in acute and convalescent stage and 30 full-term newborn infant were enrolled in this study.The level of serum of TNF-α and NSE were detected.The relationship between TNF-α,NSE level and severity of HIE was analyzed.Results The level of serum TNF-α and NSE in acute stage of HIE group were (156.3 ± 28.8) ng/L and (21.5 ± 3.6) μg/L,in convalescent stage of HIE group were (80.7 ± 26.1) ng/L and (10.6 ± 1.7) μ g/L,and in control group were (76.3 ± 24.4) ng/L and (9.4 ± 1.6) μ g/L.The level of serum TNF-α and NSE in acute stage of HIE group were significantly higher than those in convalescent stage of HIE group and control group (P < 0.05).The level of serum TNF-α and NSE in convalescent stage of HIE group had no significant difference compared with those in control group (P > 0.05).The level of serum TNF-α and NSE in mild HIE group were (88.5 ± 25.6) ng/L and (9.7 ± 2.4) μ g/L,in moderate HIE group were (150.1 ± 16.5) ng/L and (17.8 ± 3.6) μ g/L,and in severe HIE group were (197.3 ± 30.2) ng/L and (23.6 ±4.3) μg/L.The level of TNF-αand NSE were increased with the aggravation of HIE and there had significant difference among different degree of HIE(P < 0.05).The level of serum TNF-α and NSE in mild HIE group and control group had no significant difference (P > 0.05),and there had significant difference between moderate HIE group,severe HIE group and control group (P < 0.05).Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that the level of TNF-α and NSE had positive correlation with the degree of HIE (r =0.54,0.57,P < 0.01 or < 0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the level of TNF-α had positive correlation with the level of NSE (r =0.46,P < 0.05).Conclusions The variation of TNF-α and NSE level in HIE newborn infant is parallel to the severity of the disease,which can sensitively reflect the severity of HIE.Therefore,TNF-α and NSE may be used as vital indexes for the evaluation of the severity of HIE.
3.Systematic Evaluation of the Efficacy of Glutathione in Preventing Oxaliplatin-induced Peripheral Neuro-toxicity

OBJECTIVE:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of glutathione (GSH) in preventing oxaliplatin-in-duced peripheral neurotoxicity(OIPN),and to provide evidence-based reference in the clinic. METHODS:Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) about therapeutic efficacy of GSH vs. placebo/no any measures (called placbo group) or other drug in preventing OIPN were retrieved from PubMed,EMBase,Cochrane library,CJFD,Wanfang database and VIP. Meta-analysis was performed with Rev Man 5.3 statistical software after data extraction and quality evaluation with Jadad scale. RESULTS:18 RCTs were in-cluded,involving 1200 patients. The results of Meta-analysis showed that:total incidence of oxaliplatin-induced chronic peripheral neurotoxicity (OICPN)[RR=0.71,95%CI(0.59,0.87),P<0.001] and the incidence of severe OICPN [RR=0.50,95%CI(0.42, 0.60),P<0.001] in GSH group were significantly lower than placebo group,with statistical significance;there was statistical signif-icance in the incidence of oxaliplatin-induced acute peripheral neurotoxicity(OIAPN)[RR=0.89,95%CI(0.72,1.09),P=0.25]. The incidence of severe OICPN in GSH group was significantly higher than mecobalamine group,with statistical significance [RR=2.06,95%CI(1.07,3.99),P=0.03]. There was no statistical significance in the incidence of OICPN[RR=1.38,95%CI(0.83,2.31), P=0.21] and severe OICPN [RR=1.91,95%CI(0.85,4.30),P=0.12] between GSH group and Ca+Mg mixture group. CONCLU-SIONS:GSH can effectively prevent the occurrence of OICPN,however,its therapeutic efficacy is equivalent to Ca+Mg mixture and inferior to mecobalamine in preventing severe OICPN.
4.Analysis of clinical use Supplementary Spetzler-Martin grading system for brain arteriovenous malforma-tions

Objective We evaluate if supplementary grading system can refine patient selection and accurately predict neurological outcome in BAVM. Methods We retrospectively study 221 BAVM patients who were treated micro?surgically by our hospital. The score of pre and post operation mRS and relative clinical, radiology data were collected. Two different logistic models (Spetzler-Martin, Supplementary Spetzler-Martin grading model) were constructed to com?pare the area under ROC. Results Some factors are significant different between worse outcome patients and good out?come patients:Non-hemorrhagic presentations prior surgery, AVM bigger than 3cm, diffuse shape of AVM and the elder patients. Predictive accuracy was higher for the supplementary model (ROC area, 0.91), than the Spetzler-Martin model (ROC area, 0.774). So the predictive accuracy of supplementary model was significantly better than that of the Spet?zler-Martin model (P=0.0362). Conclusions Supplementary Spetzler-Martin model can improve preoperative risk pre?diction and subgroup the patients more efficiently. When the score less than 5(including 5) in supplementary Spet?zler-Martin patients seem to have lower risk relative to surgery.
5.A preliminary study on the application of high-resolution magnetic resonance vessel wall imaging in the ;evaluation of intracranial aneurysms

Objective The present study was to investigate the feasibility of use of high resolution magnetic reso?nance vessel wall imaging(HR-VWI)in evaluation of intracranial aneurysms. Methods We prospectively collected data from patients who had intracranial aneurysms and received HR-VWI scan before surgical treatment or conservative treatment. Aneurysms were divided into ruptured group (n=12) and unruptured group (n=88). Aneurysm site, size, neck, aspect ratio(AR), daughter sac and aneurysmal wall enhancement scale were analyzed in both groups. Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression were performed to evaluate the risk factors of aneurysm rupture. Subgroup analysis was also performed to study symptomatic and asymptomatic unruptured aneurysms. Results Aneurysm size(t=2.187,P=0.031),AR(t=3.164,P=0.002),incidence of daughter sac(P=0.012) and aneurysmal wall enhancement scale(P<0.001)were higher in ruptured aneurysm group. Multivariate Logistic regression showed that aneurysmal wall enhance?ment scale was the only independent risk factor of ruptured aneurysms(P=0.002). Subgroup analysis showed aneurysm wall enhancement scale(P<0.001) and AR(t=3.939,P<0.001) were higher in symptomatic unruptured aneurysms. Conclusion Aneurysm wall enhancement on HR-VWI is more frequently seen in ruptured aneurysms and symptomatic unruptured aneurysms. Histological study is needed for better understanding of the mechanism of aneurysm wall enhance?ment.
6.Unilateral congenital microphthalmia in newborn: a case report

Here,we reported a case of term infant with unilateral congenital microphthalmia (CM).Physical examination conducted on 2 d after birth showed that the left eye was barely open and the eye socket was deeper than the right.Meanwhile,the cornea of the left eye was not completely exposed and the light reflex could not be elicited.Ophthalmology consultation,ultrasound and CT scan were conducted,and CM was finally diagnosed since the infant was found to have a small eyeball and shortened axial length,accompanying by pathological changes in the lens,vitreous body and retina.This case suggested that detailed physical examination should be carried out,especially for the eyes,including orbit and eyelid,presence or absence of secretion or concealed eyeball,together with medical imaging techniques technology,to ensure an early detection and diagnosis of CM in neonates.
7.Trendency analysis of infant mortality rate due to premature birth or low birth weight in China from 1996 to 2013.

OBJECTIVETo study the secular trend and characteristics of infant mortality rate due to premature birth or low birth weight (IMRPL) in China from 1996 to 2013.
METHODSData used in this study was collected from the population-based Child's Health Surveillance Network of China. The Cochran-Armitage Trend test and Poisson regression were used to test the trend of IMRPL and explore the differences of the trend among different regions or areas.
RESULTSThe nationwide IMRPL was 629.9 per 100 000 live births in 1996 and it decreased to 214.6 per 100 000 live births in 2013. The average annual decline rate was 6.14%, while the proportion of infant mortality due to premature birth or low birth weight in all infant deaths was on the rise with the average annual growth rate of 1.52%. And the proportion increased to 22.6% in 2013. IMRPLin rural and urban areas fell 28.1% and 66.6% respectively during 1996 and 2013. But the differences between urban and rural areas was obvious. During the same period, the average IMRPLin the central region was 1.40 times (95%CI:1.31-1.49) of that in the eastern region. And the average IMRPL in the western region was 2.25 times (95%CI:2.12-2.40) of that in the eastern region. The differences among different regions was obvious. Male infant mortality rate due to premature birth or low birth weight was 1.09 times (95%CI:1.05-1.14) of that in female infant from 1996 to 2013.
CONCLUSIONThe risk of IMRPL decreased substantially in China from 1996 to 2013. And the risk of IMRPL decreased more in rural areas than that in urban areas. The differences among different regions and areas were obvious. Premature birth or low birth weight as one of main factors has become a serious threat for health of Chinese children.

8.Systematic evaluation of efficacy and safety of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction for preventing oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neurotoxicity

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction for preventing oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neurotoxicity(OIPN).Methods:PubMed, ScienceDirect, EMbase, VIP, CNKI and WanFang Data were searched to collect the randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction for OIPN from the date of establishment until July 2019. Two reviewers independently evaluated the quality of literature and extracted data. RevMan5.3 software was used for Meta-analysis.Results:Fifteen RCTs (849 patients) were included. The results of Meta-analyses showed statistically significant differences in favor of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction group compared with control group for all incidence of OIPN [ RR=0.57, 95% CI(0.40, 0.81), P=0.002] and incidence of serious OIPN [ RR=0.35, 95% CI(0.25, 0.48), P<0.000 01]. No differences were observed in disease control rates between two groups. There was statistically significant differences between Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction group and mecobalamine group for all incidence of OIPN [ RR=0.51, 95% CI(0.39, 0.66), P<0.000 01] and incidence of serious OIPN [ RR=0.37, 95% CI(0.19, 0.70), P=0.002]. Conclusions:Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction is more safety and effective than mecobalamine on the prevention of OIPN and did not affect the efficacy of chemotherapy. So Huangqi Guzhi Wuwu decoction can be widely extended to clinical applications.

Objective To explore the effect of actively vascular catheters management via a professional team with clinical nurse specialist as the core among patients receiving chemo-radiotherapy. Methods Totally 762 tumor patients with chemo-radiotherapy in Sihucan cancer hospital were selected as the research object by convenient sampling method. 300 patients from January to December 2014 was taken as the control group ( patients received routine management ) and 462 patients from January to December 2015 was taken as the experimental group (patients received professional management with clinical nurse specialist as the core). The incidences of complications and indwelling time in two groups were compared and analyzed by independent-samples T test and chi-square test.Results There were 11 cases of thrombus, 13 cases of tube plugging and 16 cases of phlebitis in the control group, while there were 5 cases of thrombus, 3 cases of tube plugging and 8 cases of phlebitis in the experimental group. The incidences of thrombus, tube plugging and phlebitis in the experimental group were obviously lower than those in the control group (χ2=4.676,12.009,8.876;P<0.05). There were 8 cases of unplanned extubations in the control group, but none in the experimental group. The indwelling time of central venous catheter (CVC) and peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) were (21.2± 11.5) d and (55.8±26.3) d in the control group, while they were (25.6±13.1)d and (63.8±22.1)d in the experimental group (t=-2.57,-2.97;P<0.01).Conclusions The actively vascular catheters management via a professional team with clinical nurse specialist as the core among patients receiving chemo-radiotherapy, is likely to reduce some complications after intravenous indwelling catheter, and avoid unplanned extubation and extend the indwelling time.
10.Relationship among sibling acceptance,interpersonal trust and resilience in first-born children

Objective:To explore the relationship among sibling acceptance,interpersonal trust and resilience in first-born children.Methods:A total of 715 first-born children aged 12 to 14 years were selected to evaluate sib-ling acceptance,interpersonal trust,psychological resilience and emotional regulation strategies with the Sibling Ac-ceptance Scale,Children's Generalized Trust Beliefs,Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and Emotional Regulation Questionnaire,respectively.The relationship among sibling acceptance,interpersonal trust,resilience and emotional regulation strategies was analyzed.Results:Multiple linear regression analysis showed that CGTS scores of first-born children were indirectly associated with sibling acceptance scores through resilience scores(β=0.34,P<0.01).The ERQ cognitive rerating scores were negatively associated with resilience scores under the influence of interpersonal trust score(β=-0.23,P<0.001),and ERQ expression inhibition scores were positively associated with sibling acceptance score under the influence of resilience scores(β=0.29,P<0.001).Conclusion:Sibling acceptance is indirectly associated with interpersonal trust under the mediating effect of resilience.Emotional regula-tion strategies indirectly affect first-born children's interpersonal trust and sibling acceptance under the influence of resilience.
