OBJECTIVE To explore the role of P38MAPK inhibitor on the soft palate reconstruction of the rats with chronic intermittent hypoxia. METHODS The animals were divided into normal control group, hypoxia control group and SB203580+hypoxia group (every group 20 rats). After 5 weeks, the expressions of p38MAPK and p-p38MAPK protein on the soft palate of the rats were detected with immunohistochemical techniques and western blot. RESULTS Compared with the normal control group, the soft palate tissue thickness of the hypoxia group were increased most obviously; Levels of p38MAPK were increased in hypoxia control group; Compared with the hypoxia control group, the levels of p-p38MAPK group were decreased in SB203580+hypoxia group. CONCLUSION p38MAPK may play important roles in the soft palate reconstruction of the rats with chronic intermittent hypoxia.

Objective:To retrospectively analyze the relationship between patterns of local recurrence and radiotherapy target dose after adjuvant radiotherapy for the pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC), aiming to provide reference for exploring reasonable target and dosage. Methods:Clinical data of 138 patients with T 1-4N 0-2M 0 PDAC who underwent adjuvant radiotherapy after radical resection from April 2012 to December 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. The influencing factors of local recurrence and the correlation between local recurrence site and radiotherapy target dose were analyzed. Results:The median follow-up time was 37.2 months. The median overall survival (mOS) was 29.9 months. The 5-year OS rate was 27.4%. And the median progression-free survival (mPFS) was 13.9 months. There were 24 cases of local recurrence (17.4%), and 10 cases of local recurrence complicated with distant metastasis (7.2%). The correlation between local recurrence site and radiotherapy target dose could be evaluated in 19 patients with complete clinical data. The first local recurrence occurred near the para-aortic (Ao), the celiac axis (CA) and the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) were 8, 5 and 4 cases, respectively. The radiotherapy doses of 8 patients with local recurrence only in the PTV field were above 45 Gy. There were 8 cases of local recurrence both in and out of the PTV field, including 3 cases with dose line between 40 and 52 Gy, 2 cases with dose line between 20 and 47.5 Gy, and 3 cases with dose line between 0.5 and 52.5 Gy. There were 3 cases of local recurrence out of the PTV field, and the dose line ranged from 0 to 20 Gy.Conclusions:The local recurrence rate of PDAC after radical surgery combined with postoperative radiotherapy is low, but a small number of patients have recurrence in the high-dose range of radiation field and regional recurrence out of the field. For these patients, it may be necessary to explore a more appropriate target dose and range for adjuvant radiotherapy.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the pathological changes of chronic intermittent hypoxia on upper and lower respiratory tissue in experimental rats.
METHODSA total of 40 female SD rats were divided into 2 groups. Twenty rats were fed in normal state (control group), and 20 rats were fed in hypoxia environment (hypoxia group). The pathological changes of upper and lower respiratory tissue were observed under optical microscope.
RESULTSChronic intermittent hypoxia resulted in irreversible changes both at upper and lower respiratory tract in rats. The thickness of the lamina propria in soft palate was significantly increased in hypoxia group (125.85 ± 6.34) µm vs. (57.26 ± 4.67) µm (t=36.330, P<0.01). Lung pathological examination in hypoxia group showed pulmonary interval thickening (2.15 ± 0.49) µm vs. (0.45 ± 0.12) µm (t=14.132, P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONSThis study confirmed that long-term hypoxia can lead to organization reconstruction in upper and lower respiratory tract in rats. In OSAHS patients, it is suggested that earlier intervention could alliviate the pathological changes in respiratory system.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2013;27(15):818-821
OBJECTIVE:
Detection and significance of CXCL8, IL-10 in serum and tissue of the patients' with OSHAS.
METHOD:
All subjects take serum CXCL8 and IL-10 levels were determined by ELISA. All subjects take the same position of the soft palate tissues in the operation. CXCL8 and IL-10 in the tissue expression was measured by immune histochemistry.
RESULT:
(1) Serum CXCL8 levels in OSHAS is higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). (2) Serum IL-10 levels in OSHAS is lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). (3) Tissues CXCL8 expression was correlated with serum CXCL8 (r = 0.474, P < 0.05). (4) Tissues IL-10 expression wasn't any correlated with serum IL-10. (5) Tissues IL-10 expression was correlated with tissues CXCL8 (r = 0.482, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
OSAHS may be a disease associated with inflammation, and closely relate with CXCL8 and IL-10.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the role of NF-κB p65 and p38 MAPK in lung injury in rats suffered chronic intermittent hypoxia.
METHODS:
Experiment were divided into a control group and a hypoxia group (n=20). After 5 weeks of hypoxia treatment, the expression of NF-κB p65 and p38 MAPK in lung tissues of rats were detected by optical microscope and immunohistochemical techniques and Western blot.
RESULTS:
Pathological examination showed pulmonary interval thickness was (0.45 ± 0.12) μm and (2.15 ± 0.49) μm in the control and hypoxia group, respectively (P<0. 05). Compared with the control group, the levels of both NF-κB p65 and p38 MAPK were increased in the hypoxia group (P<0. 01), which were confirmed by Western blot.
CONCLUSION
NF-κB p65 and p38 MAPK may play important roles in lung injury reconstruction in of the rats treated by chronic intermittent hypoxia.
