1.Progress of endothelial progenitor cells in chronic kidney disease
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(6):648-650
Renal interstitial fibrosis is basically the common terminal pathway of various progressive renal diseases. Decrease of interstitial capillary density plays an important role in renal interstitial fibrosis. Endothelial progenitor cells can be induced to differentiate into mature vascular endothelial cells. They contribute to angiogenesis and angiopoiesis, and therefore may be a potential therapeutic approach for chronic kidney disease..

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the relationship between of the serum homocysteine (Hcy) level and the occurrence and severity of diseased coronary arteries in patients. Methods The total serum Hcy content was determined in sixty-seven patients with diseased coronary arteries and forty-three normal subjects. They were all subjected to coronary artery angiography for evaluation. Using the Gensini's scoring system the degree of severity of of pathology the coronary arteries were assessed. Other risk factors were analyzed in addition to Hcy and Gemini's scores. Results The total serum level of Hcy in patients with diseased coronary artery was significantly higher compared with the normal controls (P

To investigate the changes in nitric oxide (NO) and angiotensin (AⅡ) in rat with spontaneous hypertension (SHR) and the effect of benazepril on production of NO/AⅡ. The animals were divided into three groups: normotensive (WKY) group, SHR control group and benazepril group. Blood pressure was measured by the tail-cuff method. NO - 3 concentration in serum was assayed by activated cadmium reduction method; cGMP and AⅡ levels in vascular tissue were assayed by RIA (radioimmunoassay). The results showed that blood NO - 3 concentration and vascular cGMP level were all lower in SHR group compared with WKY rats(P

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(27):8-10
Objective In order to know the proper prevention and nursing measures for postoperative hemorrhage among patients with tyroid surgery. Methods Analized the medical history of 19 patients with postoperative hemorrhage after thyroid surgery retrospectively. Results The 19 patients with postoperative hemorrhage were all recovery smoothly by careful nursing and proper treatment. Conclusions Uncomplete intraoperative hemostasis, intraoperative breathholding and improper placement of drainage structures are the risk factors for postoperative hemorrhage. Careful postoperative observation and nursing can avoid certain postoperative hemorrhage.

Chinese Journal of Nephrology 2010;26(12):915-919
Objective To observe the impact of different culture conditions on the growth of the endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs) from rat peripheral blood. Methods Mononuclear cells obtained from rat peripheral blood were isolated by using density gradient centrifugation. According to the culture medium added with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and the dishes were precoated with fibronectin or not, the mononuclear cells were divided into different groups and cultured under different conditions in vitro to compare the differences of the growth conditions. The different growth conditions were recorded and the result was calculated by statistics software. At last, the cells were identified by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. Results The mononuclear cells from rat peripheral blood grew in the manner of keeping close to the wall in vitro. The cells and cell colonies cultured for 7 days hinted:under the same culture conditions, precoating FN was beneficial to the adherent proliferation of EPCs (t=4.43, P<0.05; t=3.70, P<0.05). Excluding the impact of fibronectin, growth factors could promote mononuclear cells differentiation to EPCs, indicating that growth factors enhanced proliferation of EPCs (t =-13.22, P<0.01; t =-10.96, P<0.01). Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence showed that, at day 4, 7, 10 of cells cultured, CD34 and CD133 expressions were increased gradually [(35.7±4.2)%, (60.1±3.8)%, (81.8±6.4)%; (3.2±0.9)%, (18.4±7.3)%,(32±3.8)%, respectively]; at day 14, both were decreased [(32.1±5.4)%, (1.9±2.7)%]; but Flk-1was increased at day 4, 7,10, 14 [(31.2±3.5)%, (40.6±5.3)%, (71.2±8.4)%, (81.5±4.1)%].Conclusions Fibronectin is conducive to adhesion and proliferation of EPCs. VEGF and bFGF play an important role in the differentiation of EPCs. The success culture of EPCs in vitro will provide a sufficient number of seed cells for its application in vascular tissue engineering, and offer new ideas for peripheral blood stem cell transplantation for the treatment of various diseases.

Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(8):570-572
Nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) is a key regulator in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of cancer cells.EMT of cancer, one of the reasons of drug resistance, enhances the infiltration and distant metastases ability of cancer cells.Recent researches show that Snail,Slug,Twist and Zeb play important roles in regulating EMT of cancer cells.Drugs and targeted therapies that inhibit NF-κB activities can reverse the EMT of cancer cells.NF-κB may become an effective therapeutic target in cancers in the future.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(04):-
Objective To analyze the genetic diversity of higher artemisinin-yielding Artemisia annua. Methods With the chemical investigation of artemisinin contents, RAPD analyses of selected plants from ten various habitats in China were carried out using arbitrary primers. Results The RAPD data clearly indicated the genetic diversity level in A. annua was relatively high with 53.6% polymorphic sites. UPGMA Analyses of RAPD and phytochemical trait data showed that the wide phytochemical diversity was included within the genetic diversity being present in at least four geographical regions. ConclusionArtemisinin has obvious inherited differentiation that further support the prospects for selection and breeding of superior artemisinin containing lines.

Objective To find out the dynamic variation on HCV genome to give the theoretic basis for diagnosis of post transfusion hepatitis C,and demonstrate the causality between donors and recipients suffering from post transfusion hepatitis C.Methods The high variable envelope gene fragments (HVR1 and HVR2) of HCV was selected for a cross sectional study and a one year follow up study was carried out on 3 HCV patients at every 3 month period to understand the dynamic variation of HCV HVR in each patient. Results The homology of HCV HVR genes among different types is 56.99%~60.88%,65.09%~68.80% among different subtypes, and 80.05%~96.40% among the same subtypes. It consists with the geographic distribution of HCV.The homology between the different strains isolated from the same patients is 92.10%~99.73%,95.36%~97.54 and 97.07%~99.20%,respectively.Conclusion The variation of different HCV strains in HVR is great. However, the variation of the same virus in the same patient during short infectious period is rather limited, which is no more than 7.9% per year.So the transmission pathway of some hepatitis C cases can be trailed at the molecular level by this way,and some non transfusion transmitted hepatitis C cases can be exclude
