2.The diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT MIP-MPR image in the lymph node metastasis of colonic carcinoma
Journal of Practical Radiology 2014;(12):2004-2006
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT MIP-MPR image in regional lymph node metastasis of colonic carcinoma. Methods CT findings of 33 cases with pathological confirmed colonic carcinoma were analyzed retrospectively . All patients were underwent three-phase 256-slice CT dynamic enhancement scanning. All data were processed in workstation,to obtain routine MPR and MIP-MPR image. The regional lymph nodes of colon cancer were counted, and divided into 3 groups accord-ing to the short diameter of lymph node:group I (3.0-5.0 mm),group Ⅱ(5.1-10 mm),and group Ⅲ(10.1 mm up).The diag-nostic sensitivity of CT MPR and MIP-MPR image in checking out lymph nodes of different groups was compared by paired test.Re-sults The average value(x ±s )of lymph node number of three groups with routine MPR and MIP-MPR image were:group I, 3.66±1.99,6.09±2.44 (t=1 1.6,P <0.05);group Ⅱ,3.72±1.79,4.03±1.89 (t=3.73,P <0.05);group Ⅲ,1.21±1.31, 1.27±1.46(t=1.44,P >0.05).There were statistical differences in group I and group Ⅱ.Sensitivity of MIP-MPR image in chec-king out regional small and middle lymph nodes of colonic carcinoma was higher than routine MPR image. Conclusion Multi-slice spiral CT MIP-MPR image is a good way to checking out regional small and middle lymph nodes of colonic carcinoma.

Objective To investigate effects of octreotide combined with aspirin on the growth and metastasis of gastric cancer in vivo. Methods SGC-7901, human gastric cancer cell line, was implanted orthotopically in the stomach of nude mice. Octreotide or aspirin alone and the combination of the two drugs were administrated for 8 weeks to investigate the effects of them on tumor growth and metastasis. Results At necropsy, xenografts in situ were found in all stomachs of nude mice except two nude mice in the combined group. The mean volume and weight of tumors in nude mice treated with octreotide or aspirin were significantly lower than those of control group. The inhibitory rate for tumors was 60.6% in octreotide group, 39.3% in aspirin group and 85.6% in the combined group with octreotide and aspirin respectively. The metastatic rates of gastric adenocarcinoma were markedly lower in any of treatment group than that in control group. No severe side action was observed in all of treatment group. Conclusion Octreotide combined with aspirin greatly enhanced the anti-growth effect on gastric cancer in vivo when compared to using either of them and inhibited the metastasis of gastric adenocarcinoma in nude mice.

Objective To study MSCT findings and clinic value of hepatic abscesses on enhanced double-phase and(or)three-phase(arterial and protal venous phase and delayed phase),especially during arterial phase. Methods The MSCT imaging features of 20 cases with hepatic abscesses proved by operation or biopsy were evaluated on enhanced double-phase and(or) three-phase scan during arterial and portal venous phase and delayed phase ,especially during arterial phase. Results (1)The imaging features of aeterial phase were that the hepatic tissues around the lesions showed strong enhancement, but the lesions showed slight enhancement or not or peripheral enhancement. (2)The imaging features of protal venous phase were:a.circular target sign; b.circular sign; c.flower valve sign; d.multiloculated sign. (3)The imaging features of delayed phase were that the masses changed smaller or not and the belt disappeared or got vague. Conclusion The double-phase or three phase MSCT scan fully reflects the pathologic changes of hepatic abcesses and is very important to early diagnosis and differential diagnosis.

Objective To investigate the visual acuity improvement and related factors for myopia after femtosecond flap excimer laser surgery. Methods 72 myopic patients (129 eyes) in our hospital between January 2010 and December 2013 were chosen. The patients all received femtosecond flap excimer laser surgery. The visual acuity improvement after surgery was observed, and the influencing factors were analyzed. Results The distance vision (VA), near vision (NVA) and best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) significantly increased before surgery (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that preoperative BCVA, NVA, axial length, cutting ratio, axial length and time of near vision were the affecting factors of visual acuity (P<0.05). Conclusion Femtosecond flap excimer laser surgery for myopia has significant effect , but the preoperative visual acuity was affected by BCVA , NVA, cutting ratio, axial length and time of near vision.

Objective To present 8 cases of retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyelolithotomy or ureterolithotomy for the treatment of pelvis and ureteral stone. Methods 8 cases of pelvis or ureteral stone have been treated by retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyelolithotomy or ureterolithotomy. The size of the calculi was 0.8~2.4 cm with the incarceration time of 3 months~2 years.Details of the procedure were presented. Results Success has been achieved in all the patients and no complication has been observed during the 3~6 months of follow up. Conclusions Retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyelolithotomy or ureterolithotomy for the treatment of pelvis or ureteral stone is simple ,safe, less traumatic and effective.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of the Qingfei decoction in the acute upper respiratory tract infections.METHODS From Jan 2004 to Sep 2006,there were 68 cases with acute upper respiratory tract infections treated with chinese medicines. The patients were divided into 2 groups:36 cases were treated with Qingfei decoction,32 cases were treated with Shuanghuanglian granules as a control. Both of the groups were treated for 5 days, the clinical symptoms such as: fever, cough and sore throat were used to evaluate the efficacy of both groups.RESULTS Both of the groups were effective;the effective rate was 88.9% and 75.0% in the Qingfei group and in the control group, respectively. There was significant difference between 2 groups(P

OBJECTIVE To study the causes and mechanism of auditory neuropathy. METHODS Auditory neuropathy is characterized by the DPOAE being normal, the shape of the pure tone loss being mostly in low frequencies, but the ABR being absent or the threshold elevated disproportionally to the pure tone threshold. Patients were screened from the deaf patients through asking the ill history and taking the exams of pure tone audiometry, auditory brain stem response, distortion product of otoaccoustic emissions (DPOAE). Thirty six patients were met the above standard. Deparaffined sections of cochlea of the guinea pigs were used as antigens to test whether the sera of patients had the autoantibodies with immunofluorescence method. RESULTS In the total of 36 patients with this type of hearing loss, autoantibodies were positive in 31 patients(86.1%). Twenty of the 31 patients had autoantibodiesto connective tissue of osseous spiral lamina where the nerve fiber connecting the hair cells and spiral ganglion cells go through. The autoantibodies to capsula surrounding the spiral ganglion and inner ear nerve fiber was also seen in these patients. In additional 7 patients, the autoantibodies to spiral ganglion cell nucleus and inner ear nerve fiber was detected. In the 44 control persons, 9.1% of them have the autoantibodies to inner ear tissues(P
