BACKGROUND:Due to the different transplantation time after myocardial infarction, the homing ability of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels to damaged tissues as wel as the repairing role wil be very different. OBJECTIVE:To explore the optimal window time for the homing of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels to the myocardial tissue after myocardial infarction. METHODS: Eighteen Chinese miniature pigs were modeled by the ligation of left anterior descending coronary artery. BrdU-labeled bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels were injectedvia the coronary artery at 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks after modeling, respectively. Then, the animals were kiled at 3 days after cel transplantation to detect the home of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels in the infarct zone. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:BrdU-labeled positive cels with brown nuclei were visible at 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and 4 weeks after myocardial infarction, especialy at 1 week after myocardial infarction (P < 0.05). It indicates that the best homing window for bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels was at week after myocardial infarction, when the stem cel transplantation is given to be able to promote myocardial repair.

BACKGROUND:A variety of cytokines such as cytokines, growth factors and inflammatory proteins play an important role in the development of skeletal muscle.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the biological characteristics of a variety of cytokines and their effects on skeletal muscle cel s and pancreaticβcel s.
METHODS:Relevant articles published from 2002 to 2015 were retrieved in CNKI and PubMed databases using the English keywords“cytokines, adiponectin, leptin, visfatin, skeletal muscle cel s, pancreaticβcel s”. Initial y 253 literatures were obtained, and final y 53 eligible literatures were included based on the exclusion criteria.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:As a fat-specific protein newly found, adiponectin can improve the insulin sensitivity by promoting glucose uptake, storage and utilization in skeletal muscle cel s. The activation of muscle satel ite cel s and skeletal myoblast proliferation are both dependent on leptin, so leptin plays a vital role in the skeletal muscle cel growth and development. Visfatin, a pleiotropic cytokine, widely presents in the skeletal muscle, liver and bone marrow, and participates in the regulation of inflammation and immune function. Furthermore, visfatin contributes to glucose uptake and metabolism in the skeletal muscle, and makes considerable effects on the stress and signal transduction of skeletal muscle cel s.

Objective To investigate tissue distribution of Hylotelephin in Beagle dogs and excretion of Hylotelephin in rats. Methods A high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV detection was developed to study the concentrations of Hylotelephin in biological samples, taking anthracene as an internal standard, Benzoyl chloride as the pre-column derivatization of Hylotelephin and methanol-water as the mobile phase. Results After a single intravenous dose of 10.6 mg/kg Hylotelephin in beagle dogs, parent drug was widely distributed to virtually all tissues in 5 min and the concentration of Hylotelephin in most tissues at 90 min were lower than those at 5 min obviously. Hylotelephin was mainly distributed in kidney, liver and spleen, secondly in heart, lung and intestine. The parent drug concentration in kidney, liver and spleen was similar to that in blood at the same time point. After a single intravenous dose of 36 mg/kg Hylotelephin in rats, the excretion of the parent drug in urine, feces and bile amounted to 88.45%, 0.61% and 1.08% of the dose, respectively. The parent drug excretion amounted to 67% of the dose in 3 h. Conclusion Hylotelephin was distributed and eliminated in Beagle dogs rapidly. It was mostly distributed in kidney, liver, spleen and plasma. The parent drug excretion was 88% via urine.

Objective:To explore the effect of kangaroo mother care (KMC) on lactation, uterine involution of parturients and neonatal pain. Methods:A total of 200 parturients who gave birth at full term in our hospital from January 2019 to June 2019 and their newborns were selected as the research objects, they were randomly divided into control group and observation group of 100 pairs each. The control group received routine obstetric postpartum care and the observation group received KMC. The KMC cognition, postpartum lactation and uterine involution, neonatal pain during neonatal heel blood collection were compared between the two groups. Results:The cognition of KMC in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( χ 2 value was 24.700, P<0.01). The first lactation time of parturients in the observation group was (41.25±3.20) hours after birth, which was earlier than (54.17±2.20) hours in the control group, there was significant difference between the two groups ( t value was 2.378, P value was 0.019). The breast pain Ⅰ degree (20 cases), Ⅱ degree (56 cases), Ⅲ degree (24 cases) in observation group were significantly lighter than those in control group (62, 27, 11 cases respectively) 72h after delivery, the differences were statistically significant ( t value was 12.166, P value was 0.011). The parturients of sufficient lactation in the observation group (73 cases) were more than those in the control group (34 case),the differences was statistically significant ( χ 2 value was 30.570, P value was 0.000). The uterine fundus of the observation group decreased by (3.06±1.26) cm and (1.67 ±0.43) cm at 24h and 48h postnatally, which were better than those of the control group (1.97±0.92) cm and (1.23±0.18) cm,the differences were statistically significant ( t value was 3.162, P value was 0.002; t value was 2.689, P value was 0.009). In the process of heel blood collection after 72h of delivery in both groups, the pain scores of the observation group during and after blood collection were 4.92±0.33 and 2.37±1.27 respectively, which were lower than those of the control group (5.57±1.37 and 5.01±1.09), and the differences were statistically significant ( t value was 2.035, P value was 0.046; t value was 2.579, P value was 0.011). The heart rates of the observation group during and after blood collection were (121.36±22.13) and (142.55±23.91) beats/min, respectively, which were lower than (152.64±18.21) and (156.79±17.37) beats/min of the control group, the difference were statistically significant ( t value was 2.375, P value was 0.018; t value was 2.126, P value was 0.037). The blood oxygen saturation of the observation group during and after blood collection were 0.967 2±0.013 7 and 0.985 5 ±0.022 4 respectively, which were significantly higher than 0.891 7±0.116 5 and 0.914 5±0.137 8 of the control group ( t value was 2.036, P value was 0.046; t value was 2.017, P value was 0.047). Conclusions:The implementation of KMC can promote lactation, accelerate uterine involution, and relieve the pain of neonats during neonatal heel blood collection; Strengthening the health education of KMC can improve the cognition of parturients and their families about KMC, which has positive significance in promoting maternal and infant health and is worthy of clinical application.

OBJECTIVETo observe the association between high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) level and rate of ischemic stroke recurrence.
METHODSA total of 1 059 patients with ischemic stroke were enrolled from 5 community health centers and underwent baseline surveys during the period of January 2003 to December 2006. After baseline surveys, patients were followed up every 6 months until December 31, 2008. The new stroke events were recorded as the primary study endpoint. The association between HDL-C, HDL-C/TC and ischemic stroke recurrence was analyzed by Cox regression analysis.
RESULTSThe proportions of stroke patients with high ( ≥ 1.55 mmol/L), moderate (1.04-1.54 mmol/L) and low (<1.04 mmol/L) HDL-C levels were 15.58% (165/1 059) , 54.58% (578/1 059) and 29.84% (316/1 059) respectively. During a mean of (3.21 ± 1.04) years follow-up, recurrent ischemic stroke was recorded in 137 patients. Compared with HDL-C ≥ 1.40 mmol/L group, multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that stroke recurrence rates of patients with HDL-C ≤ 1.00 mmol/L and ranged from 1.01 to 1.19 mmol/L increased by 0.944 (HR = 1.944, 95%CI:1.033-3.659, P = 0.039) and 1.027 (HR = 2.027, 95%CI:1.116-3.682, P = 0.020)fold , respectively. Recurrence rates increased 1.237 (HR = 2.237, 95%CI:1.208-4.144, P = 0.010) fold in patients with HDL-C/TC ≤ 0.19 mmol/L compared to patients with HDL-C/TC ≥ 0.28 mmol/L.
CONCLUSIONThe risk of ischemic stroke recurrence increases with decreasing HDL-C level or HDL-C/TC ratio.
