1.Changes of plasma level of neuropeptide Y in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2001;36(4):206-208
Objective To investigate the changes and its clinical significance of plasma neuropeptide Y(NPY) concentration in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). Methods Plasma NPY levels were detected by radioimmunoassay in 30 patients with PIH, 20 normal non-pregnant women and 23 normal pregnant women. The PIH group was subdivided into mild, moderate and Severe subgroups, and the NPY concentration was also measured in these subgroups respectively at admission and one week after delivery. Results The plasma NPY levels in patients with PIH [(164.16±68.32) ng/L] were significantly higher than those of normal non-pregnant women and normal pregnancies [(86.60±20.65) ng/L, (82.42±12.46) ng/L, P<0.01, respectively]. There was significant difference among plasma NPY levels among the patients with mild, moderate, and severe PIH at admission (P<0,01). At one week after delivery the concentrations of plasma NPY were significantly decreased in the moderate and severe subgroups compared with the value measured at admission (P<0.01). Moreover, the NPY levels in patients with severe PIH after delivery were still higher than those of normal non-pregnant women. Conclusions The results suggested that the level of NPY in plasma is increased in women with PIH. Elevated plasma NPY levels may play a key role in the development of PIH.
2.Diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of 18F-FDG PET/CT in bone marrow infiltration of lymphoma
Journal of International Oncology 2016;43(5):395-397
18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18 F-FDG PET/CT) and bone marrow biopsy (BMB) have high consistency in the detection of lymphoma bone marrow infiltration (BMI).18F-FDG PET/CT has a high sensitivity to Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) BMI,while the sensitivity of indolent NHL is low.Since 18F-FDG PET/CT may appears false positive or false negative,so it can not replace the conventional BMB.We can carry out a BMB under the guidance of 18F-FDG PET/CT,which can greatly improve the detection rate of BMI.

Objective To establish hypoxic-ischemic brain damaged (HIBD) rat model, investigate whether H2S and cystathionine-β-synthase (CBS), the key enzyme for its generation, may be a mediator of electro-acupuncture(EA) stimulation treatment for HIBD. Methods Thirty-two healthy Sprague-Dawley neonatal rats were divided into four groups randomly: sham control group ( n = 8 ); sham + EA group ( n =8); HIBD control group ( n = 8); and HIBD + EA group ( n = 8 ). HIBD rat models were established on their 7-day-old. From the next day ,rats of sham + EA group and HIBD + EA group were electric stimulated 30 min daily for 14 d,BAIHUI and DAZHUI as the acupoints. Control ones were just fixed at the same time, without acupuncture. The rats were sacrificed on the 22 nd day, one day after the treatment course. Cortical H2S concentration was measured by sensitive sulphur electrode assay. The CBS protein expression was measured by western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry for localization. Results The concentration of cortical H2S in HIBD control group was (26. 83 ± 4. 31 ) nmol/mg protein, which was significantly higher than that of sham control group[(22. 78 ± 1.54) nmol/mg protein]( P < 0. 01 ). The H2 S levels in HIBD + EA group and sham + EA group were ( 18.08 ± 2.71 ) nmol/mg protein and ( 18.91 ± 2. 78 ) nmol/mg protein, respectively. Compared with corresponding control group, they were much lower( P < 0. 01 ). The expression of CBS protein in rats with EA stimulation decreased in cortex compared to corresponding control group( P <0. 05 ).Conclusion EA can down-resulate H2S/CBS pathway. This may be one of the mechanisms of how EA contributes to the recovery of brain damage.

Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2001;36(4):212-214
Objective To study the association of plasma von willebrand factor (vWF) and endothelin-1(ET-1) levels in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). Methods Plasma vWF and ET-1 were studied by ELISA method and immunoradiological method respectively in 36 patients with PIH, 18 normal pregnant women and 19 normal non-pregnant women. Results Circulation levels of vWF and ET-1 were increased with increasing severity of the PIH. In mild PIH patients, the levels of plasma vWF [(135.9±30.9)%, (P>0.05)] weren′t significantly higher than those in healthy pregnant women [(131.6±39.2)%,(P>0.05)],but the levels of ET-1 [(63.7±4.8) pg/L] were significantly higher than those in healthy pregnant women [(47.1±4.7) pg/L,(P<0.01)]. There were significant differences between groups of moderate-severe PIH [vWF (174.4±35.4)%, ET-1 (92.6±19.1) pg/L]. There was a positive correlation between the plasma vWF level and ET-1 level. Conclusion The results suggested that plasma vWF and ET-1 concentration could be used as indicators for the severity of PIH.

China Oncology 2001;0(02):-
Purpose:To investigate the expression and significance of CXCR4 in human lung cancer. Methods:Real-time RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry were performed to detect the expression of CXCR4 on 36 lung cancer specimens and 10 normal lung specimens taken from non-cancerous regions adjacent to lung cancer tissue. Results:34 of 36 cases showed positive staining of CXCR4 protein compared with normal lung specimens.CXCR4 expression was independent of pathological type or histological grade. However, in all examined cases, higher expression of CXCR4 tended to be detected in the tumor specimens with lymph node metastasis or regional invasion. Conclusions:Up-regulated expression of CXCR4 was detected in the early stage of lung cancer, and high-level expression of CXCR4 was associated with lung cancer having metastasis.
